within a few weeks the head broke. I was sent a replacement head (not original and not meant for this vacuum) which falls off at least ten times while vacuuming my house.
I have never experienced this with any other vacuum.
Purchased in January 2021 at eBay for $150.00.
Not worth the money. Doesn't work on carpet.
Bought this vacuum a few months ago primarily because I have one long haired cat. The turbo head does not move when placed in carpet. I'm the cleaning of the head is fiddly. taking back for a refund.
Purchased in November 2020 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $299.00.
The Hoover is powerful but the head gets easily jammed with anything long
The Hoover is powerful but the head gets easily jammed with anything long like hair, string, any loose ends on carpet or rugs. The process of taking the electronic head apart to get the blockages out is tiresome.
Purchased in April 2019 at Godfreys for $450.00.
I hate this vacuum cleaner. It sucks 5 hairs & gets stuck & when you try to fix it the dust makes your house messier.
If is terrible and doesn’t pick up any hair. Lots of tiny parts that gets hair stuck after 10 minutes of use. I’m so over this product it makes me actually angry.
Purchased in January 2018 for $299.00.
Don’t waste your money
We bought this vacuum cleaner a year ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. From the turbo head not spinning to loss of suction. Waste of money. I spend ages trying to pick up fluff from the carpet as the suction is so poor and it just pushes the fluff around the carpet.
Don't waste your money
Doesn't pick up the hair at all even with the turbo head - still heaps of dog hair on the carpet and end up vacuuming at least 3 times a week to keep on top of hair buildup ( I only have 2 dogs that come inside at night). Feels very "plasticy" and not very robust. Power cord is too short- can barely do one room without having to change power points. Difficult to push around and change attachments. Certainly not worth $300. Can't wait till it breaks.
Eco pets vacuum cleaner
Overall I can't complain about the overall quality of this vaccuum ,you get what you pay for and I couldn't afford a new Dyson vacuum cleaner at that time(previous Dyson vacuum died after 10 long hard years of use)I only went to buy a $99.00 on sale cleaner with a $1.00 steam mop with that model until the sales an showed the poor performance of it and needed bags..I decided to buy anyway until the sales guy told me there was a2 day wait due to outta stock..I decided not to get that oneas I urgently needed one asap as I have several kids and a c...ouple of cats...carpet,lino and a few expensive shaggy rugs...I looked at the ones up to $199.double the budget but nothing else was what I was after ..I spotted this Hoover eco pets cleaner and explained that this was perfect and then was told the cost!! $479 and no $1.00 steam mop either..I didn't have that kinds spare money and said I would have to go somewhere else to get a vacuum cleaner...as I was leaving the sales man asked me if I would pay $250 and I could take one then ..also an extra2 year warranty included..I only had cash for bills and food etc,but after he plugged it in at a great speed ,I was totally sold and paid for it and 10 minutes later walked out $250 poorer..the turbo plus brush is great for picking up pet hair and my hair as well in the first go and no more than twice...it sounds a bit strange compared to other vaccs and when using the turbo plus brush it sounds very different....it's suction over all is good and the only thing I don't like is the storage hook for the metal rod is worth less and my biggest perv is the colour of it..white is the worst color they could of made it...to hard to keep clean..
I recently purchased this vacuum cleaner since I own a cat.
I attached the turbo head ans proceeded tp vacuum my cat. The spinning brush did not massage my cat as I expectd it would. Instead, it provoked and angered my cat turning it into a hissing, scratching whirlwind of death.
I believe that the name of this machine is slightly misleading.
Not bad at the discounted price recently.
I bought the Hoover Eco Pets because a long serving Electrolux barrel type cleaner finally died (gave about ten years service I think). I don't like buying vacuum bags (not the price, just the effort to find them) so I bought a bagless cyclonic this time around. The Eco Pets with Turbo brush was on special for $99 so I decided to try it rather than spend much more on my other researched choice (an Electrolux midrange bagless).
So far it's OK, not stunning but OK. The 'eco' feature of being a frugal 1100 Watts is not a great selling point IM...HO, the cleaner could do with more power, particularly when using the turbo floor head on carpet (which is not what it's supposed to be for, but who changes it from room to room anyway). On hard floors with the turbo head it's very very good, gets all dust and pet hair in one pass usually. The turbo head cleans easily and does not clag up much compared to other turbo heads I've had (some three or four). Dust and pet hair extraction by the cyclonic filtering action is also very good, very very little dust bypasses the dust catching bin and ends up in the washable filter above it. The dust container is a decent size on this vac, so it can do our whole four bedroom house without interrupting for a dump out. I find that long hair catches in the spacer spool in the bottom of the dust container and needs to be pulled free manually, but that is a minor thing and doesn't bother me personally. The power cord is 2m shorter than my old Electrolux, and I miss that extra length, this means I have to change power outlets more often going through the house. On carpets using the supplied carpet head it does clean reasonably well, but not as well as my old more powerful vac and it's aftermarket turbo head. You can get the same result, but it need more repassing over the same path to achieve it. It's lighter than my old vacuum so I find it easy to move around. Build and assembly quality is good, and quality of the plastic is very good also. It does not seem brittle and about to snap like some cheaper vacs I've used. Main negative for me is the power, I'd like it to be about 50% more and run a turbo head with better flow (using that extra power) so I can use it better on soft carpets. Main positive is the unit cleans well for the price and is easy to empty and use. I'd recommend it for people on a budget and having not too much soft carpet.
Does a good job but heavy and difficult to change heads
I have found this machine to be very efficient with the turbo head, but it's heavy to drag around the floors and not that easy to manoeuvre. I didn't realise you really have to change the turbo head when doing hard floors and to be honest I'm finding this a bit of a pain. The turbo head does a great job on my carpets, it is picking up so much that the previous vacuum hasn't.
I think if your elderly or have wrist and hand issues you may have trouble changing the head over.
Okay cleaner for the price, but don't believe the hype
I'm reviewing a Hoover Eco Pets model 3013 purchased at Godfreys for $99 on the basis of three previous reviews.
We had a 5 year-old Dog n Cat with a pulsating power head that still works fine, but the power head is difficult to get on and off, so it's left on permanently and are unable to use all the attachments.
I was skeptical that the Hoover would be as good as the Dog & Cat given that it only had 1100 watts and a non-powered head and this proved the case. We put them head-to-head on half the living room rug each and the Hoover extr...acted 4 grams of grey matter while the Dog n Cat removed 6 grams. It may be the case, however, that the more powerful head removes more rug fibres than the other one. We're not able to comment on it's effectiveness on removing pet debris as we have none. Not trying to put you off getting one, it might be the best one currently available if this is your price point. Moreover, it was significantly more effort to push the Hoover over the rug as the turbo head only has 2 small wheels compared with 2 large and 2 small for the other one. It's really only an issue with the rug, on smoother carpets it's fine. The other main criticism of the Hoover is that there is no adjustable power control.
Questions & Answers
How do I clean the dirt canister?
The canister can be gleaned out with a damp cloth or air compressor.
We do also recommend booking the machine in through Godfreys for servicing at least every 12 months.

The vacuum is very powerful. Love it! But can't find the suction control slider. In the manual, page 3, 10. Suction Control Slider (not shown). Please advise.
Unfortunately this is a misprint in the machine and has been corrected for future prints.
The only suction slider on this machine is the one on the handle.
