Design issues
I purchased this vac a little over 2 weeks ago so it is early days. So far, it has done a good job on my very old carpet and hard floors, but I have issues with the design. The "handle" is too low, the hot air blowing upwards is very annoying and, as a right-handed person (like most people), I don't understand why the power button is not on the inside instead of the outside of the barrel.
Purchased in March 2019 at Godfreys Physical Stores for $199.00.

Sold a dud by salesman
Was sold at Godfreys by salesman. I needed vacuum for big dusty house with lot of dog hair. I have to empty and clean everytime use. Major flaw no handle.

Time will tell
My disclaimer: I loved my Nilfisk coupe- but it died and couldn't be saved.
Bought this as a replacement. It seems to have plenty of suction (it is brand new) and accessories. I don't know if it is because it is bagless, but it would be awesome if the smaller vacuum head accessories could be stored on the unit (like the Nilfisk). I can also see the lack of an adjustable handle being a nuisance.
I will update this review as time goes on and I use the unit more.

High maintainance filters
Just purchased this vac and happy with the performance and easy to use but wish I had known the filters need cleaning after each use, the sales person did not mention that, our old vacuum was a dyson that only needed filters to be washed periodically, power lead could be longer too

Cheap vacuum, but doesn't last.
This vacuum is great for small homeowners who don't want to spend large amounts on vacuums. However, I don't think it is suited for large homes. It is annoying having to walk around unplugging and plugging back in again. The vacuum also loses suction after a while. Otherwise, it is a good vacuum.

Good, could do with a handle
Bought this from Godfrey's about a year ago, great suction, good effect on most surfaces, the bags are expensive but a real pain when needing to lift it to vacuum something high. The bags are also a bit expensive, and fill up quite quickly. I'm meant to write fifty words or so..

Was great, but not for cleaning the vacuum itself
Bought this 2 years ago at GODFREYS. They were cheap and was really doing good. Great suction power and performance. They are light weight and easy to carry and manuever, but theyre a little bit noisy. I guess it is hard to find a vacuum that is quiet..lol! Everything was great with this vacuum not until we realized that it is not getting all the dust anymore and we realized because the Telescoping Wand Assembly and the Power Nozzle Assembly are full of hair and dust. We managed to clean the Power Nozzle Assembly but not the Telescoping Wand Assembly. We send them to GODFREYS but they didnt really clean it. From then, it is not suctioning well anymore. I hope the Telescoping Wand Assembly is easy to clean as well so it can last long.

Rubbish!!
We got this from Godfreys saying it was a rely good product, it has done the work but only after 2 year's the motor has burnt out and that was only using it for 18 of those 24 months ,using it once a week! I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner to any one, I thought that Hoover was suppose to be a top brand.

Too complicated!
Great when you first use it, then it seems to stop working. There are three filters which you need to clean after every use, which when you get wet screws up the whole machine. We though after 3 months that it was the filters which stopped the sucking, but in an actual fact it is the curved plastic tube where the vent is. Dust, hair, and stones get clogged easily in it which causes the sucking to stop. So, when we used a hanger and put it down the tube, we pulled out big bundles of dust and hair. Don't go and spend $29 on a new filter without checking that first.

Review one year on.
This is the bagless version. I have had this machine for over a year now.
Pros:
Good suction.
A decent long hose and handle, good for tall people.
Cons:
The dirt chamber is too small by half.
The turbo brush clogs up too easily and stops working after a while. A small pebble will jam the mechanism, although it is fairly easy to open up the brush and remove the obstruction.
Removing and cleaning the filters is a requirement to keep the suction up. But I knew that already.

Hmm, Was good to start off with.
I got this vacuum about 8 months ago. At first it was really good the suction was great. But after a few months the suction became less and less powerful. I have cleaned it out several times, Going to see if I take it to godfreys and if they can service it or clean it out for me or something.

Good suction but build quality poor
Had issue with handle on dust container breaking. don't even touch it, its for cosmetics only. had it replaced under warranty. vacuum head not built to last, mechanism that joins the head to telescopic pole jams up inside and therefore it wont flex. was impressed to start with before all the issues.
Good suction
Dust container handle not built to last. vacuum head cheap quality.
Cant get parts
Seemed to go alright but lost cone filter fell out when empting dust box now told by godfreys that may not be able to get new one, cant use with out it, what a gib.whats the point of buying something that they cant service,i thought that was against the law.
good when going
cant get parts

Ok Small vacuum cleaner
Bought this 9 months ago, have a two bedroom + living-room/dinning-room apartment that's fully carpeted so need to empty the vacuum cleaner after each go.
After using it a few times the power dropped right out and I was going to bring it back, but decided to try cleaning out the filters first. Emptying it isn't enough you also need to take out three of the filters and clean them. Gets to be a bit of a headache as its not the easiest to clean and have to clean the filters every other time to maintain suction power. The vacuum does its job and as long as you don't mind the extra work to keep it going it'll save you on buying bags.
Keeps the floor clean
Not easy to clean, expensive

Don't bother even considering.
Needing a vacuum that was good for pet hair (I have two cats and a long haired Border Collie) but not wanting to spend $800+ on a Dyson, I was talked into buying this one, with a turbo head attachment. I ended up with the bagged model as the sales guy said the bagless would get clogged with all the fur...? Got home and tried it out. Had good suction with the turbo head but then it started electric shocking me, tried to use the normal head and it doesn't even fit. Also when trying to empty the bag you need to actually stick your fingers in to pu...
Read morell out the dirt/fur, or I guess just buy new bags everytime you use it. And it has no handle so you can't carry it, good thing this house doesn't have stairs! Absolute junk. Taking it back today to get a refund and am just gonna spend the extra on a Dyson instead. good suction for pet hair poor design. attachments don't fit. bag is poor. no carry handle. electric shocks you.2 comments

waste of money
Smart by name but not by design .Got talked into spending $250.00 for a bagless 2000 watt vacuum cleaner. I normally do lots of research on this site which is an awesome resource, but this was an urgent purchase and I thought spending so much would get quality - that's what the sales guy said. It's just awful. It's got limited suction, the build quality is shocking, it's got no usable handle so carrying it upstairs is dangerous, the wand and hand piece are such a poor fit that unless you're a muscleman you can't push them together tightly enou...
Read moregh, so the metal wand just drops onto the floor ( or the furniture or my foot!!!) at random times, the suction varying slide on the hand piece doesn't slot into the groove properly so it whistles loudly unless you squeeze it closed with your thumb the entire time you're vacuuming. The bagless mechanism has a sieve like conical filter which gets so blocked so quickly I have to keep dismantling the whole thing and tearing the fluff and fibres out by hand. The piece on the wand for the attachments to clip onto totally negates any ability to get under or beside or behind narrow spaces because even if you leave the attachments off it's still a bulky lump so now I can't vacuum under my couch, beside the fridge or behind the hydronic heating radiators. But they even scripmed on the cord. I have to either leave an extension cord permanently plugged into it or disconnect when i get half way along the living room or the passage because the cord is so short, which I have never had to do in the past. Can't for the life of me work out what aspect of this is "Smart".5 comments
I went in to buy another Miele (happy with the last one) but was talked into a "Smart" Hoover...price was $100 less than Miele ...wished I had paid the extra $100 because this vac appears good to star...
Read moret but you quickly find out the fittings don't fit...hence the dropping of the ss hose on your foot...somehow it works itself free ?? is there a gadget that can stop this ???Diane, if you put the handle in on a 45 degree angle and twist it into your prefffered position while you apply pressure downwards, i can assure you it will not come out, dont just put it in straight.
Easy laws of physics :) no more sore feet
Thanks Banjo, didn't really help though. Fell out again and chipped a tile on the kitchen floor. Can you suggest anything for the litany of other issues? SSandi

My parents have a Hoover All Rounder T4012. They didnt know about the filters and collection chamber in the main barrel. Long story, short - I discovered this and emptied it and cleaned the grey sponge filter. They dont have the manual. I need to know how to put it back together properly. Thanks
