Started so well and ended up so awful
Started off so well. Initial experience was 8/10. But when it came to the 11th hour and to finalise pricing, [Name Removed] literally ruined the experience and we backed out of any future dealings. It was like experiencing the dual personalities of Jekyll and Hyde. Couldn't run the other way quick enough! Wasted 2 months of our life. When we complained in writing, all [Name Removed] could do was point the finger at us and blame us. He couldn't bring himself to acknowledge that we were the customer and ended up treating us as if we were a ...
Read morenuisance. Post leaving Hotondo, and going to the market we learnt a great deal about our past process with Hotondo. At least 2 point blank irrefutable lies were made, and compared to other builders insights, preparation and knowledge; where we originally thought [Name Removed] was great, we now learn that he was below average and lacking in preparation and understanding our needs. Just a pure comparison of Hotondo to other builders. So disappointed to have to be writing this, but if our experience helps just one family chose an alternate builder that really listens to them and truly understands their position vs pretending to care and have a focus on taking their money only --> then we've achieved a positive outcome. Please please. Before you sign a stage one contract with Hotondo, talk to at least 3 builders in depth and ask heaps and heaps of questions. Then make up your own mind.2 comments

Read morehave picked up the phone and had a one on conversation with us, vs a written reply. I work in the space of customer satisfaction and literally the 1st thing I would do in a situation like this is call the customer to understand their side of the story. But hay, that's just me. Seems my like a statement to cool down a complaint rather than a genuine concern and desire to prevent such things happening in the future.Questions & Answers
