HP DeskJet F4185 All-in-One

Terrible – I would not recomend this printer to my friends. So inconvenient to use. If you can handle the hazzle, then buy this. Poor. Fast print; relatively good quality Installation wizard always run and create another installation (as in HP Deskjet F4100 Series(2),...(3)...(4), etc); SO INCONVENIENT! My boss almost throw/kick his unit!
Excellent – The printer is very cheap to buy, and for this price, the print quality is surprisingly very good. It can print pages very quickly. I also find that the ink cartridges are much cheaper than most other brands (except Cannon which cost about the same price). Easy to install, easy to use, and doesn't give you so many hassles. Those that said this printer gave them hassles, why don't you try installing a Lexmark or a Brother? This HP is way eaier to use. Cheap to buy, ink cartridges are also cheap. Prints with very good quality. Doesn't have borderless printing, but at this price you couldn't find a printer that would.
Bad – Wouldn't recommend as it didn't meet my minimum standards and despite numerous downloads of updated drivers, I am still unable to overcome the problem with MS Money Inexpensive initial cost, satisfactory print quality Ejects me from MS Money every time I print a report, and i need to reload file. Cartridges expensive
Excellent – Among the best things going for this printer is the fact that HP are supportive of linux OS's and therefore provide Hp linux install packages from their website (command line install instuctions are also available). This means that anyone with a dual boot windows/linux system can use the printer from either OS. At different times, I have installed the printer to ubuntu via packages and manual command line. Both worked without a hitch. Would recommend HP to any windows/linux user. Adequate print quality for the price. Relatively cheap printer. Inks are well priced and cartridges have a reasonable capacity. Printing could be a bit quicker, but the number of pages per minute is adequate for home use.
