HTC Desire 20 Pro (2020)
1 review
Disappointing HTC – HTC Desire 20 Pros were sold in Australia in 2020/21 by Kogan, Dick Smith and BecexTech. They are beautiful phones ... good screens, great weight, fabulous battery life (5000mAh), fabulous connectivity ... and they last all day (and I can talk all day). Sadly, the HTC Desire 20 Pro does not send or receive MMS messages on the Optus Network. (I don't know about Telstra)
Despite numerous emails and all the APN tweaks, HTC Australia does not want to support the phone. They won't admit if it's a design flaw, a region-specific limitation or a network limitation. They say it was never intended for the Australian market.
HTC is a "global" phone supplier that operates in every market on every frequency. A premium HTC phone should happily roam between networks in different countries. That's why we buy dual SIM premium phones from "respected" vendors.
Road warriors beware.
Purchased in at BecexTech Australia for $398.95.
