To Buy or Not to Buy? Good or Bad? – I bought this band after i swore I wouldn't buy another one years ago. Do I really need it? Yes & no. For a cheap wristband it has some pretty good functions. Pedometer, Heartrate,Training, Sleep and although I don't use it - some form of GPS. This would be a good buy for the money - even if all you wanted it for was the pedometer because its accurate, waterproof and comfortable. The rest in my opinion is a bonus.

Pro's -

1.Waterproof so you don't need to take it off - that a big plus and how I wrecked my 1st one.

2. Great battery life - I've had this 3 weeks only charged twice & never been below 20% - so very good.

3. Comfortable to wear - I wont even wear a watch - so I think its a bonus its light & you hardly know its on.

4. Pretty good data captured and a reasonable interface with the bluetooth software - I'm using IOS.

Cons

1. Chinese characters on the screen - not ideal - although english numbers. ( I will talk about this below)

2. Initial setup is a bit clunky to get it going with the app - but no issues once you do it.

3. The little clip that holds it on the wrist strap can pop out if you catch it.

4. I use reading glasses - for me the writing is a bit small to use on the go when I haven't got my glasses - but I suppose thats the price you pay when you want it small & comfortable.

Summary

To set it up - unless you speak or read Chinese - you need to go to Youtube & watch an Indian guy explain how to set it up. You only do this once - and its a pretty good way to do it and takes about 10 min. Honor 3 Band Unboxing, Setup, Connect to phone.

Once its paired with your phone - its quite good to see the data -pretty comprehensive - and the interface is good.

The data it captures is the steps per day and it graphs this so you can see it in various formats - Day, week, Month etc.

Heartrate - Beats Per Minute ( BPM) also graphs as above. Max Heart rate - resting heart rate etc.

Training - if you want to set up running etc. I think this is where the GPS comes in but I don't use it or need it.

Sleep - It tracks you sleep and relates it to some Harvard score - interesting but repetitive type data - but will let you see how it thinks you are sleeping.

You can set it in a few modes to save power - I have it set so it only talks to the phone when I open the app as it saves battery life and that's the only time I need to see it on the phone.

Other than the bit of mucking around to set it up I would rate it a 9 out of 10 for what it does for the money.

I compared it against a few other bands - its hard to beat.

Thanks

Nice fitness band but needs UK or USA region setting to display in English – I was happy with the quality and functionality of the unit but had to change iPhone region setting to UK or USA to get an English display otherwise all Chinese. Not being sure what other apps this may impact in Australia I chose to return the unit and bought a Xiaomi Mi band 3 which I am extremely happy with.

ok for the money – Bought this fitness band because it was on special. It's a bit tricky to put on with the small press connection. The connection with my mobile phone is good and the information clear. Would be good if it could give a bit more detail about such things as quality of sleep. It just says "you should get more sleep" and tells you the number of hours you slept. Needs to be charged every day which is a bit of a nuisance. I guess if you want more you have to pay more!
