difficult to claim

Very bad insurer, only want to charge premium without paying claim. They refused to repair my car even there is no structure damage because they under value the car in the first place. the car was writ-off and I was only paid $1,000, but the market value is more than $10,000 at the time. Show details

Poor, extremely poor

-people on the phone are super unhelpful if you are lucky to get a contact number.
-very slow claim process, regardless how important or critical your claim is.
-they can’t expedite the process and can’t request repair shop to fast forward the repair quote but if you call the repair shop they’ll do it for you - so in simple terms you are doing all the work that your insurance company supposed to do.
-a simple claim (photo attached) took them forever to finalise despite telling them in multiple occasions that I’m going overseas and need this resolved within a month Show details

Choose someone else

Honestly, I heard great things about Huddle car insurance so I decided to try it. Unfortunately I was in an accident, not at fault, and the whole process is so disappointing. They take forever to respond to you, after yo follow up as you have not heard from them, they didn’t even read your email or documentation you provided to assist your claim for 2 weeks. they made me feel absolute worthless. I expected a way better service than what I got. I am still waiting for an update, after 2 months from submitting my claim. Do yourself a favour & choose someone else! Show details

Almost impossible to reach

I hit a kangaroo on the way to work. In the beginning it was very quick and easy to lodge a claim. However, after the lodge it's radio silence. The amount of stress of the claiming process is insane for someone who needs their car to work. I try to get an update about my claim, sometimes it is only 2 days a week that you can make an appointment. Even if you make an appointment, they don't always call back. They never reply my e-mails either. I can not go to work without my car and was extremely stressed from their lack of communication. They approved the claim without any question but I don't want to go through the same stress ever again. Show details

Prices are good, contact is not!

They offer very competitive prices and I do have one policy with them. However, I made a phone appointment, which is highly inconvenient given the 2-hour timeslot options, and NEVER received the call at the appointed time. I've had to make yet another 2-hour timeslot phone appointment in FOUR days (that was the first available option). I am requesting a change to my policy and will now request it be backdated to my original call time booked (I'll be due a refund) because they didn't make the call. Good prices but the ease of speaking to someone is highly irritating. Hopefully, I get the booked call on Tuesday...if not, may just switch insurance providers to one where I don't have to make an appointment to speak to someone. Show details

Unable to contact. will not be renewing

Realised we were soon to go over our "pay as you go" kms on our policy. Their site says you can increase the kms online which is not true and they make you book an appointment in 4 days time. As a result we we are now driving over our agreed kms and will in-cure extra 1K excess if we have to make a claim. Was going to renew in 3 weeks when due but that wont be happening now. I am now collecting evidence and will take legal action if were were to have to make a claim.

Dont do it

Huddle does not provide a phone number for people to call. You have to make an appointment for Huddle to call you at a future date and time, which was during my working hours.

Ridiculous

Had a not fault accident. Was super quick to get repair but I’ve been chasing them up for money for the two car seats I had to replace. Said the funds were released but 3 weeks later still haven’t got it. THEY ARE SO HARD TO GET A HOLD OF ! Don’t have a number you can ring to talk to someone. You have to make an appointment for them to call you but they don’t. And take over weeks to respond to emails and don’t answer your questions. Do not use them. Show details

Not there when needed

- They did not call when they said they would to process a claim.
- Their "emergency" phone number had long queues and did not even get back to me when I left a number for a callback.
- I was only able to make a claim when I made a complaint.
