Good Nappy wipe
Been using these on my granddaughter and find they have a pleasant smell and are easy to use in their resealable packet. The only thing I find not so great is they are not really big enough and will take a couple of nappy wipes to get her clean. Have had no trouble with these at all
Purchased in February 2020 at Coles for $2.00.
Very disappointed with Huggies Gentle touch baby wipes
These wipes didn't tear off easily, but worse than that, they left fibres from the wipe on the baby. Not as good as other water wipes, although they are 99%water! I found it hard to pull of 1 wipe with one hand while holding baby legs out of poonammis
Would not buy again.
Caused irritation for my baby
I used this product for my daughter but a few days later I started to see a bad reaction on her skin It was all red and irritated so I stopped using it Shame because it’s such a well known brand but didn’t work on her Also it’s not cut well every 2,3 wipes that they are sealed together which made it hard to use just with one hand
I tried huggies after using several different brands that I found unconvincing. While huggies are more expensive I found they are saving me money. Firstly, I can actually get one wipe out of the box at a time, rather than they all sticking together. Secondly, they are soft and moist and easily wipe off even the biggest poop explosion. The result for me is I use a lot less wipes and my child is happier because the change takes less time. I have actually managed to use one wipe for those huge poop explosions that used to take up to seven wipes. It's definitely a keeper.
Not for us!
We were given a lot of Huggies baby wipes when our first was born so used quiet a few. They were moist and thick but I found them to be like paper and tear very easily whilst trying to wipe clean which was very annoying! We use other brands now.
These use to be the only wipes I would use. Not now!
These use to be the only wipes I would use. They were perfect for my first born so sensitive and loved how they were nice and thick too.
Since having my second the way they are folded they get stuck together and too many wipes come out and they rip. I tried a few boxes thinking maybe a bad batch and from different stores and nothing changed! It’s a shame as they were good, just not any more
Huggies Baby Wipes - Water only. really?
Bub has very sensitive skin and I bought the water only wipes for him thinking it will be fine as it's just water, what could go wrong? Bub reacted sooo badly to it, very very red bum, I had to use steroids to calm it down. Makes you wonder if it really is just water only.
The reason people review these poorly is because they feel like a paper towel, they lose their moisture in the pack.
plain and simple. I get the CVS brand and they are soft, gentle, fragrance free and half the cost.
I bought the huggies on sale at Shop Rite and I am returning them. I would have gotten stuck with 3 packs of them ugh!
Unfortunately causes bad reaction
Really liked these wipes (nice texture, thick, pulls out one at a time, package closes well) HOWEVER it caused our baby to develop a nasty rash so we had to stop using it. I think the ingredient that causes this problem is cocamidopropyl betaine as we've noticed the rash occur with other brands that have this same ingredient. Currently using Baby U Goat Milk wipes and not having any bad reaction to it.
Alcohol dried out and irritated skin.
Pros: Thick and Sanitises
Cons: Alcohol caused dryness and irritated skin.
Since changing brands my kids don't get rashes anymore and thanks to me using them one day to remove my make up I now know why!
They are ok until you need to wipe your child's bottom continuously with bugs like gastro etc to which the irritation becomes visible (rashes may appear) however if I wouldn't use it on my face again why would I use it on my child's? Yes the alcohol helps Sanitises but is it really necessary? Try it on your face and if you feel the need to moisturize maybe baby would appreciate some cream too or a change of brand.
Thick and practical
Tried many brands of baby wet wipes and Huggies is the best so far: thick, gentle on the skin, easy to pull just one from the packet (with most brands you pull one out and end up getting 3 or more... When changing nappies it's almost impossible to have both hands free so that is very inconvenient plus you end up wasting them...)
You get what you pay for.
Waste of money
I'm a FTM, and after purchasing a few bulk packets before baby arrived I found them to be quite dry, ripping apart and worse if all giving my poor baby ugly nappy rash! I so ce purchased curash wipes, sudocream and benapathrn ointment and the rash had gone. It's very upsetting but you will be suprised the difference with curash wipes
Goes on sale often
Ripps, dries. Nappy rashes
Good wipes, but hard to pull out of the pack at times!
I have been using the Huggies unscented wipes for a while now and for convenience, I have been buying the 80 pack. Love these wipes, no fragrance, delicate on bub's skin and they are quite thick which makes the cleansing easier (and I don't have to use too many wipes at once). They are a little pricey, but they do last quite some time. One thing that I cannot stand - sometimes it's hard to get a wipe out of the pack and it can be frustrating especially if you are a bit in a hurry! Sometimes the wipe breaks in half, other times it sticks to the ...others and you end up taking out 5 wipes at once. Not a big deal as it does not happen every time, but when it does, it's annoying! Thick, good for sensitive skin, large in size A little pricey, sometimes it's hard to get a wipe out of the pack easily
Good but there's better!
I stayed with huggies frag free for the first couple months with my newborn given they have great nappies so figured wipes would be the best. I was loving them (big size, nice design, little wastage in bulk pack with unnecessary packets when refilling huggies box dispenser) until I was gifted a box of another brand (curash frag free).. Then the flaws were highlighted - they are papery so often tear the corners trying to get out of refill dispenser and somehow the bulk pack disappears much quicker than curash so I must need more to clean up mes...ses (must be related to the glide of wetness). I've toggled back between both brands couple times when on special but won't anymore due to price - they are good but not my number one anymore. In my recent search for the ultimate but budget friendly wipe, unexpectantly woolworths select frag free is identical to huggies frag free as they are large, papery with similar cute embossed design - now I'd consider buying that instead as they seem the same. Large wipes, cute design Texture papery so can tear, expensive, go through pack too quickly
Does the job
We have used these since birth and I am happy with them. I am a bit surprised at some of the negative reviews on this site. I like that they are thick and that they are often on special so I will usually stock up on them. I would recommend them
