We have just returned from the 12 day Treasures of China Tour and wish to compliment the tour guides (Judy in Beijing, Justin in Xi'an and especially George in Shanghai/Suzhou/Hangzhou). They did a wonderful job (there were 36 in the group) keeping us informed and guiding us around the journey. Show details

We missed a particular deal in Koh Samui by a day. We were assured it was just as good, costing the same money, as the oceanfront deal.. After paying the bulk back in July and with 3 months to go in Jan 25 I looked further into the accomodation and requested to cancel, flat out No. Not even could we get a credit for the airfare. Upon arrival in Fiji we were rushed to the bus, not giving my grandkids, 6yo & 4yo, a chance to eat. We waited on the bus for nearly an hour! We got to Hideaway Resort & Spa at night time, ordered our food & 3/4 of an hour later, with 2 exceptionally hungry, distressed & tired kids, we finally ate. There was 6 of our family in 3 different bures,… Read more

mine had no phone, the air conditioning broke & wasn't repaired for 3 nights & 4 days till, on request, I got a different bure to stay in that had no safe to store my valuables & no towels. I wasn't happy with the resort which was run down, there was no spa facilities at all, despite advertising 'resort & Spa', my son had no fridge in his room, there was no TV, internet connection or Wifi at all with the exception of the restaurant & bar. I was relegated to a remote, unsafe, rundown mosquito infested spot to smoke where the deck was rotted leading to a 2 metre drop into a filthly canal. There was no milk in any of the 3 rooms, the service was annoyingly slow but the staff, with a few exceptions, were very nice. The glass bottomed boat tour was cancelled one day & the staff didn't know at what time or if the tour was the following day. I will never go to Hideaway Resort & Spa or use My Fiji again. Booking the whole horrific holiday was nothing short of mindbendingly frustrating with incorrect information, which My Fiji tried to charge me a fee for, staff changes & I could not speak to 1 person on the phone, it was a 'team' of people who didn't know the responses from the other staff members whom I'd previously spoken with. My son had to take over all communication with My Fiji because I found the whole experience too much for me. The holiday was very expensive, over $10,000 & I would have expected a whole lot more than we got. Very disappointed & disillusioned with the entire My Fiji & Rosie Tours experience. Will never recommend or utilise their 'services' again.

AVOID Ignite like the plague. Incompetent and zero customer service or legal responsibility – AVOID Ignite, My Vanuatu or anything else that starts with "My" just in case it's Ignite! Company sucks big time. My theory is that they are not so much evil as just terribly incompetent. We booked a holiday in Vanuatu and everything was great until they booked our return trip on Air Vanuatu that went into liquidation. There was plenty of press… Read more

predicting this at the time of booking, they definitely should have known. A few days later when the liquidation was announced, we contacted Ignite to get the return flight swapped to Virgin and that's when they started being dumb. They said there was nothing they could do until AV issued a cancellation notice for the flight. We pointed out that the offices of AV were closed, the plane repossessed and they had no staff, so no one to issue said notice. We pointed out Ignite's legal responsibilities under Australian Consumer Law and they had no idea what we were talking about. It took ages to speak to anyone and they did nothing to fix the looming problem. Luckily, our 3rd party travel insurance kicked in (Bless you, RACT) and paid for a return flight.

All sorted, we took the holiday and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend Vanuatu as a destination for Aussies. Iririki Resort is great, tours by locals fun, Zipline is exciting and the food is lovely. Our 3rd trip and won't be our last. Excellent for families or couples.

terroism threats of a high degree petty theft & sub standard transfer practices, I rang them & emailed them about this stating the capital Male where you fly into, you can’t even get travel insurance for there, even off there provider Nib, I asked for my deposit back as they had not disclosed these issues just too busy making these packages look glamorous. The answer was a big fat no we have already paid providers etc, usual story, well guess what I’m taking matter further to ACCC as this product there selling to me or anyone else is defective & not fit for purpose! I urge anyone else who has these refund issues to take it further too so Accc is aware of their unsavoury practices, as there is a consumer protection law in Australia when a product is not fit for purpose. I also note that other reviewers have either received a smart butt answer back or an every excuse under the Sun answer. acknowledgement, no reply. Nothing. We just wonder if our situation was more critical, and we needed more help , what would we do? Just horrible and not worth it. So, we wasted our return transfer, had to pay for a new one, which is much cheaper to organise right here. Through Grab. Easy. In general, another lesson learned. Forget all this kind of agents, who do not want to know you as soon as they get your money. Book your hotel and transfer yourself, you'll probably get even better deals online, and will be able to fix things yourself, as per your own booking. Shame and never again.

MYCRUISES- ONLY IF YOU WANT TO PAY TOO MUCH/ LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR HOLIDAY/ INFLEXIBLE PROCESSES- AUGUST 2025 We were sufficiently brain washed by the extraordinary amount of advertising and massive local profile of the mycruises business to read and admire the holiday choices for sale over many years, in fact it had been 18 years since our last… Read more

cruise and we thought ok lets do it. Knowing that flight centre is connected to this business also means we thought there would be greater access to global advantages. We did not look for negatives before booking, we took mycruises at face value believing that catering to Australians meant they know what Australians need and like and we then broke one of own personal cardinal rules - that being, test the system, research and don't act in haste and most importantly dont get carried away and act with emotion . Famous last words right!!!

So we chose a cruise, with 2 nights in a hotel before and after and then we paid a deposit of several hundred dollars. This was 17 months before the departure date. MYCRUISES does not in a formal sense have TO SELL its holidays, as the advertising does its work and typically people just ring up maybe ask a question or two then book and deposit so easy from a sales perspective. The staffer we spoke to on the very first day was very nice but told us some details that were wrong, we did not know this until the next couple of days and of course by then TOO LATE , no refunds no changes ,pages of contracts to reinforce their position. When we challenged the info we had been told it started to get clear that the staff can in no way be expected to be across/ know or even be sure or access the correct and detailed information for every package globally that they sell. That would be impossible. We accepted that reluctantly and thought ok,the relationship now feels sour but let's look at the value , we broke down the cost of the package and thought ok with flights, hotels ,cruise, cabin , we could say that the package was in our favour cost wise slightly, however that calculation would change as the months went on. The information that was wrong was the number of dinners included in our cruise package, time lines about document release , credit card charges on final payment, and currency of quoted on board costs. Adding all these up puts additional costs on us. This was not ok but no one to talk to about it building regret and frustration.

MYCRUISES amazingly does not have any flexibility built into their business, we deposited 17 months in advance and this company should be forced by regulation to offer a full and complete refund without penalty up to the point where flights are paid for and booked. This would help all of their customers knowing that this gap exists to accomodate all of the different things that can happen in life and would build good will. It does not mean they would lose business, it would mean that their customers know that this level of support exists. Please remember that MYCRUISES pretends that the idea of a refund or change is a big deal, it's not actually it is a minor admin function that takes seconds and a few clicks on a keyboard. But the staff will tell you otherwise. MYCRUISES is a big enough business to stand out from its competitors and offer the very best in service the fact it does not is deliberate. MYCUISES has a close relationship with NCL our advice would be to choose your ship and itinerary carefully and research the global reviews about the cruise line, ports/ excursions, cutting costs/ entertainment/ staffing , cleanliness etc lots and lots of issues and when at home in Australia you think no big deal BUT EVERYTHING is a big deal when you are on holidays and things are not ok. Don't forget cruise liners offer great deals themselves and if you book with MYCRUISES you then lose the opportunity to build a relationship with the cruise line because when you call them they will say call MYCRUISES and then you call then and they don't know and say to call the cruise line and around and around you go.......

The staff refused to and told us that they did not know what hotels were part of our package, they said they did not know until 2 weeks before departure they refused to even say what hotels might have been used in previous years so we could gauge quality and location, it was impossible to plan additional nights stay without knowing these details and seriously MYCRUISES you should be including always at standard but if you are not going to include flexible transfers airport to city , city to port / airport etc you need to have an option for Australians. Again breakfast should be standard because that's what Australian enjoy and expect, why run around looking for food when you have so limited time to enjoy the city you are in, again choice, you are a big company. How dare you charge hundreds of dollars to arrive earlier or stay later, how dare you, again this is a simple admin data entry request that takes no extra time, costs no extra dollars in real time, it's money grabbing and unnecessary. The prices for the hotels in our package were crazy expensive and did not reflect the buying power of MYCRUISES ( flight centre ) at all, we could have got ourselves a better deal on booking.com or even direct with locations. What a disgrace. Where was the wholesale advantage? The vouchers when we got them were wrong anyway showing lack of attention to details and that staff are just too busy to care and notice.

The travel documents were wrong, the flights showed multiple seats booked which was wrong, information re gratuities wrong, on board currencies info wrong. Dont forget that many of the cruise lines " nickel and dime ' that is everything costs more money and these packages offered by MYCRUISES are not truly inclusive.

Overall the MYCRUISES staff have a default position: that is to say NO, then if you push they might look further. They are so busy responding to calls prompted by advertising and they know you don't want to lose your deposit so you are hooked.

If you book with MYCRUISES you need to know that you will lose control of your holiday so if the package is not EXACTLY what you want DON'T DO IT. TEST THE ACTUAL VALUE- break down the costs of flights , the cruise or package from the provider and hotels etc, what is the advantage of booking with MYCRUISES if there is no advantage don't do it, book it yourself its easier and better for you overall.

For us we have learnt our lesson, NEVER AGAIN MYCRUISES- BUYER BEWARE..........The leadership team of MYCRUISES is making a fortune, but not delivering the best to Australian travellers they are doing the minimum not the maximum.

After much waiting time I was finally given a price for the holiday - and then the pressure began. A non-refundable deposit was required immediately plus a surcharge if paying by card. I should have asked if payment could be made by bank transfer to avoid the surcharge. On asking if there was a cooling off period, no there's not. This appeared restrictive and legally doubtful to me and it was then I checked Product Review. On reading the reviews I decided to forego what looked like an amazingly good deal.

In the meantime, I purchased new flights in order to still be able to go on our holiday - hence why i still need the package (just need the AV fares refunded). Only i have been advised if i ask for a chargeback (refund) for the flights portion the booking of the package will show as UNPAID and then it will be cancelled, and booking will be forfeited for our up & coming trip away. It seems they are trying to scare me to NOT put a claim in for the refund. How do i know if this is true. Shouldn't Ignite Travel have their own insurance coverage to protect them for situations as such. PS I did have covermore insurance - but the type of cover i had did not cover airline insolvency. It was an exemption in their PDS. I realise that this was bad luck having an airline go into liquidation - but the lack of communication on how to move forward has been TERRIBLE. Such a bad experience that i will never book through this place again.

Still waiting for a promised email. Our trip away we were counting on refunded money for use on the holiday.

product and we would be safe. It wasn't until we had paid the money that the return email came from IGNITE travel. Not long after this, Air Vanuatu went into receivership and ceased flying. We waited for a few weeks but no email or advice of any kind came from Ignite Travel. Finally we emailed them to find out what was happening with our booking. I received a perfunctory email reply advising that I check the "terms and Conditions" and that effectively we were on our own. It suggested that perhaps we could book replacement flights at our own cost and risk. As Air Vanuatu's Administrator was supposedly working on alternatives, we did not do this for fear that we might pay for unnecessary flights in the event that flights resumed. Finally, THREE days before we were due to depart, Ignite travel emailed us advising that the Air Vanuatu flights had been forfeited and, as it was too late to cancel the land portion of the package, no refund was available. This was the first correspondence that Ignite sent us that did not originate with us, in two months. NO call, no email nothing! Service Negligible, Support Zero! You may wonder why are Coles continue to be associated with such a Company.

Really, a company to be avoided - no matter how good the deal sounds – Booked a package stay at Hamilton Island in August 2023 for a 5 day stay in May 2024. hotel costs to cancel. However when the Terms & Conditions arrived - it clearly stated there were additional cancellation costs. Concerns immediately raised about the integrity of this company but as we fully expected to travel - left the payment and looked forward to the trip.

Last week of April 24 a close young family member was admitted to hospital and very quickly became a patient in the ICU - diagnosed as a possible long term ICU patient. As we are the only family living in the area of the hospital and needed each day for medical decision making, on May 3 I contacted the Ignite Customer Service area to see if we could change the dates to another time. The original booking was some weeks ahead and the Hotel booked seemed to have vacancy around 4 months ahead, no hopefully no problem? The Customer Service team were pleasant enough but on two calls stated no vacancies, only option was to cancel.

3 May - we decided to cancel and accepted the cancellation costs (apprx 1/3 of the total costs), really at that time we had more important things to worry about. I was assured in the call confirming the cancellation that the balance would be repaid within 5-8 working days. No payment received almost a month later however three phone calls during that month I have been told absolutely the payment was scheduled to go through in the next week, and the next week....

Clearly this is a company more about the easy skimming of other peoples travel funds than the normal practices of an Australian Travel Agency. As others have said (if only I had read the reviews) this is a company to be avoided!

We agreed to take up their option to replace this with 2 separate MSC Med. cruises, and were sent the alternative itinerary. From then on… Read more

throughout November, December, January and early February we constantly contacted this agency for definite updates, only to be fobbed off time and again. To make matters worse we saw these 2 cruises being advertised on various websites, so there were obviously plenty of vacancies - this was confirmed when I rang MSC directly. Finally Ignite sent us an email saying MSC were in the process of moving the bookings and we were just waiting for new booking numbers. In February our patience ran out - we are due to leave in March after all - and we asked to speak to the manager and for immediate resolution. Straight away after that we received notification that our application had not been successful! Unbelievable after leaving us hanging all this time. We have managed to book ourselves on to these 2 replacement cruises now, but at a greatly increased cost than the original advertised package. We are elderly pensioners and this has caused us a great deal of stress and extra expense. We wrote to Ryan Thomas, the CEO of Ignite at Broadbeach, detailing our concerns and asking for an investigation into our case. No response to date. Dreadful dreadful customer service.

Ridiculous credit card charges – We were forced to pay $5000.00 on credit card and charged $45 for the privilege. This should not happen and is taking advantage of customers. Show details ·  3
