ridiculous price asked for rheem ignitor replacement
Found the inline plumbing from website, and look at the review. Wow, the review is good. Called and [name removed] quoted me with price match with Rheem callout cost $165 (which is slightly higher than $143) plus the part, and the price will be starts from $165. As the technician is not able to come the next day, I chose inline plumbing yesterday. (And I made a big mistake, and will not recommend others to make the same)
However, the story onsite is TOTALLY different. I know the issue for our heat system would be rheem ignitor replacement, th...at is it. As last time, the same issue occurred 1 year ago. And this morning, the technician [name removed] was replacing the part within 30 mins, and it worked as expected. Issue resolved. Well, the price he asked with paper work was $395 with 1 part, and $495 for 2 parts. Well, that price surprised me, and disagreed. And [name removed] talked to me over the phone, saying: 'normally we charge starting from $459 for technician onsite, and replace the 1 part. if there are 2 parts, it will cost from $500+, right now, only charge for $395, and [name removed] was in your place at 7AM, and it's now almost 50 mins etc'... Come on man, i got the miss call at 7:20 am, and the time we were discuss the price was 7:48am. The job just take only around 20 mins. I was totally pissed off by the price they asked for, I asked to speak with Peter. As the price asked is totally conflicting with what Peter offers over the phone yesterday. And Peter involved to discuss with David, and finally agreed with the price as attached. However, I am still not happy with the final price, as the part will not cost $297-165= $132 as you can see from the pic attached. I am just sharing the expeience this morning with inline plumbing & electrical service. And this is embarrassment for the customer as well as the technician, how come they can ask the price like this, see the pic attached for the part and price... So if you can go with manufacturer, pls go with them. As at least they will not asking the price like this....
Uncomplete, overcharged and asbestos left all over my kitchen.
Quote to remove tap...tap still in wall.
Quote for $350...cost $595
Acknowledged asbestos, broke apart, did not dispose of.
Terrible invoice, no breakdown of parts or services explained. And now wont respond.
They fixed my complaint over billing
[name removed] fixed my complaint over excess charging against quoted price. In future I will ask for an SMS quote and not a verbal quote. Below is my earlier review which they fixed.
Quoted $198 plus parts for the service. The tradesmen did a good job but said the price was $385. Told him I was quoted. After much drama it was settled at $297. Their call centre is unethical. Not happy with their service. Not calling them again.
Technician caused damage
Technician was good manered, quick install, hot water system works fine, but there was damage caused to my wooden floor and the concrete outside. They are accusing me of causing the damage myself instead of accepting responsibility, insisting that there is no way a hot water system on a trolley could cause the damage, and trying to pass the blame on in any way they can. After hours of conversations with various staff members and managers, who raised their voices and talked over me, they did get me frustrated enough to use 2 swear words (which I...apologised for), I even offered to split the cost of repairs, just to save time, before I go to fair trading or take legal action. Waiting for their response but I am not hopeful. Also I have been advised by their manager that leaving a malicious review is illegal, but I believe this review is in no way maliciuous, I have been factual and avoided any and all personal details, and have the right to post my story.
Great Customer Service
I was very happy with the service I received, from the telephone conversation right through to the installation of my new hot water system. I had phoned on the Saturday midday and I had a new tank installed before 6pm. All very professional. I would highly recommend this company.
Tried to spring nasty surprise at the end, just as another customer complained
They asked me too for about $300 for a pressure limiting valve and cut-off valve, brand duo which Bunnings advertises as under $150. I really dislike last-minute surprises. They did do the job in 1 day, though.
The end product was perfect. Mark was friendly and professional. He was let down a bit by the office. I was booked for Wednesday afternoon however the office did not contact me to advise they had changed it to Thursday. I had to contact them.
We called to fix a leaky shower. After two days of excuses for why their plumbers were not available to come out to fix it we finally said we'll find someone else and they simply didn't care. They told us yesterday they would try to come, and then called to say they couldn't and would be at our house first thing this morning (at 7am). They never showed up. They called later to say that the plumber was on the way but then got called to take another job. The amount of water that has dripped is extensive and it's been TWO whole days. We told them explicitly that this job was an emergency!
Beware of this company
No hot water… called inline and they sent [name removed](nice man) the first thing [name removed] checked was the meter box when I told him we were on off peak hot water. Was told no problem there. [name removed] fitted new thermostat and element and charged me $385.00, which I duly paid in good faith. As [name removed] was leaving he casually mentioned “if you still don't have hot water it’s probably your Ausgrid meter relay”. Guess what? No hot water following morning. And yes the relay was broken.
In my opinion I believe it to have bee...
Was V efficient. good service
They were good, the first time when the new replacement water heater was replaced , We were not even at home. we had left the gate open for them, and when we came home everything was done. And recently for the storm the burner had gone off and we were having trouble reigniting . And they came over to have a look . and got it going again. Pretty impressive service
*** strongly would not recommend inline plumbing to anyone***

Very disappointing experience with the service level and let alone the installer ( [name removed]) replaced my hot water with a defective Rheem tank. Upon opening the box the inlet seal was missing and knowingly the installer went ahead and installed it. This [name removed] also charged me $300 above the quoted price saying new valves are required. As per the product specification the box included the temperature relief value and he charged me for it. Very dodgy and dishonest sales...
Bad Service and Rude
I got problem with the light switch. An inexperienced electrician was sent in and could not find the problem after an hour. Not too sure what he was doing. No courtesy and aggressive. Charge a fortune with no result.
Quick all done 3 hours
Hot water tank was shot, Andrew was quick and upfront with a quote and had the tank delivered and installed in 3 hours. Off peak system had us with hot water this morning. Thanks great job.
Total rip off Never call Inline plumbing
charged me 385 for 15 minutes of work
Only replaced thermocouple and did some basic cleaning
Total rip off Never ever call these guys
Appalling customer service
Inline replaced our old hot water system. The new 400 litre system delivers Luke warm water with very little pressure for the first shower in the morning. 8 hours later, when it's time for the kids showers, there is NO hot water. We have called Inline and been told the Luke warm water is the result of the new thermostat regulations - but it is so lukewarm there is no steam, no need for a fan! They refuse to come out and investigate the lack of pressure or the lack of heat without a $100 call out fee. We are disgusted. Our family of 6 should not be freezing under cold, dribbles of water after paying nearly $2k for a new hot water system. I will not recommend Inline to anyone.
