Don’t be fooled people. This is an evaporative cooler (they have been around for years) and are useless

Don’t be fooled people. This is an evaporative cooler (they have been around for years) so by putting water in the unit may cool the air slightly but makes the room humid and sticky. A proper air conditioner works by pushing the hot air over an evaporator which cools the air and removes the moisture(humidity). This is why all air conditioners have an evaporator inside and a condenser outside to disperse the heat and water. A pump is used to circulate Freon type gas that’s used in your fridge between the evaporator and condensor. Either buy a split system or portable air conditioner with the hose you stick out the window or if you can’t afford that stick with a fan Show details

Love mine ♥️

I don't understand why everyone is complaining ?? - I purchased 2 second-hand ( one brand new in box and the other had been unpacked but not used) - I paid $200 each
I live west of Brisbane - very hot here today !! Im using instachill in my bedroom and it actually got so cold I needed to turn it down to lowest setting - it does have water in it, which I agree it needs on very hot days, but others days works well without water - my only minor complaint is that it is loud but I have no problems living with that if it keeps me cool Show details

Does what it says on the box. But Evaporative Coolers are useless above 50% Humidity

Not worth any more than $150. Despite the distributors comments here Evaps by design don't work above 50% RH. Takes the edge off but is a disposable appliance and won't last long Show details

Total waste of money

Don't believe their lies!
Evaporative coolers have been around for a long time and everyone who's ever had one has only ever had 1 because they soon realise that they just make the air more humid and sticky and soon stop filling it with water and just use the fan only so do your pocket a favour and just buy a fan.

Way cheaper brand products out there - no need to run a TV hour on it

I have the Hyundai Evaporative Cooler 7.5L (White) and it was only $ 170. So much better benefit/cost ratio. I would assume that the product is made in Australia - the price at least suggests it. Show details

More expensive than an air conditioner and doesn't work

You can buy an air conditioner from places like The Good Guys for $239 which actually cools you down, and the room it's in. Its also louder than an air conditioner. They will tell you things like "oh, but it uses hardly any electricity". This is true but it has ZERO effect on either you or the room. Don't be sucked in! Show details
