Very poor customer service
The circuit breaker for the solar panel appears to be defective and trips intermittently -- at least five times in the last two months. As a result, I have had to pay more for my power bill when my power consumption went up after using our centralised airconditioning system. I sent an email to the company on 31 November and again on 3 December for them to check the problem and address the issue. But Instyle Solar has not responded for the past 8 calendar days now. This is really poor customer service.
Nothing but trouble from the start!
We were totally ripped off, spent a small fortune, told we would be paying no more than our bills would have been, now we stuck paying for solar and bills, from the installation day this company has been nothing but trouble, one thing after another
Went with Instyle solar. Told they use good quality parts but the inverter is cheap Chinese $200.00 on open market. Workmen spent more time on phone then working. No explanation on how system works or feed back. Inverter failed after two months due to bad connections. Very poor after hours service.
The Installed system did not meet up to our expectations
To begin with all seemed fine with and we felt we were going to get an awesome system then the 17th of July turned up … installation day... Our sales guy, used a google maps picture to determine how many panels we could fit on the roof, covering a water heating panel and ignoring the tv antenna on the roof. There was no site inspection so job was delayed due to the need to remove the water heater and reposition the antenna cables, we were not able to place the expected 33 panels on the roof then the job site was also left messy. Our experience...was further complicated by one of the arrays not being programmed correctly in the inverter, the starting voltage was set to high so the eastern array never turned on so the first 3 months we only ever got 4.6Kw from a 31 panel system. Unfortunately we seemed to get no after service from the NSW side of the company but I was able to reset the level in the inverter. In the end we were promised a battery ready 9 KW system and got a 6.5 kw system incapable of attaching batteries in the way that we intended. The matter needed to be taken to Fair Trading. We have now been dealing directly with the head office and although it has been a long haul and we are still short an expected 2 KW to our original expectation. A compensation has been reached. The Quality of the product is high, the actual installation was done professionally, a few unfortunate mistakes and miscommunications left us dissatisfied with the outcome the a lack of after service and communication left us dissatisfied with the organisation.
