Terrible to deal with
Took out extended warranty when buying my Audi S3 (with just 57,700kms on the clock) 5 months ago.
I was informed this was like an extension to the original new car warranty.
Had cause to make a claim for a loss of water from around the water pump/thermostat.
NOT AN OVERHEATING ISSUE.
Was directed to a local garage for them to assess (could not fit me in for a week).
they came back with the issue being the need to replace the water pump/thermostat and also 2 hoses.
after 2 days Integrity approved the water pump/thermostat but not hoses cost to ...
Timing Chain replacement not covered - wording in policy misleading
Subaru said our timing chains needed to be replaced. We called Integrity to double check this would be covered under our policy and were told it would be, just needed to have a quote done and sent to Integrity for approval. Found out today our claim was rejected under grounds that the fault is normal ‘wear and tear’. We were under the impression the Subaru timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine. We only bought the car (and warranty) 7 months ago and have already replaced the clutch & DPF at our expense - we were understanding of this. However, very shocked and disappointed with Integrity’s decision today. Definitely won’t be recommending anyone purchase this warranty in the future.
Beware of the small print!! After the in-tank fuel pump in my car gave up, ICC would only replace it with, or cover the cost of, a second hand pre-owned one! I have consulted with professional mechanics who have advised me that this is NOT trade practice and that they would never do such work because of the risk of further damage and/or breakdown. The cost of a pre-owned one is $145. The cost of a new one is $1580. The reasoning behind their decision is that the new part would put the car in a better condition than it had previously been. They ...assess the condition based on age and distance travelled. It's a 10 year old car. Therefore any new part on any car of this age would put it in a better condition. So in my opinion, unless your car is relatively new, there is very little value in the warranty. If I had been advised of this clause at the time of purchasing the car, just 18 months ago, I would most definitely not have bought the warranty and saved myself $2000, which would have paid for this repair. After I wrote this review, I was offered the opportunity of mediation, which I accepted. ICC informed me that my case would be investigated by their own internal complaints and resolution team. After a week I haven't heard a single word from them despite enquiries from me. Just in case there is anyone who may be in some doubt as to my message, what is the point in having this extended warranty on a second hand/used car when a replacement part is not going to be a new part? Why is it even sold by dealers?
This warranty is not professional, and waste of money. After having a car for 8 months I’ve have nothing but issue since owning it after spending 23 Thousand on this car. I’ve fixed 2 issues with car on my own not using warranty! And still have issues now! Breaking down on highways with 3 year old daughter in car. Was little late on my first service due to trying to organise someone spare me car get to work take my daughter to childcare. And waiting for mechanic be back off holidays , other services were earlier due to having to many issues wit...h it would get services + problems as well already spent 1500 fixing and now 2500 for turbo and the denied it due to little late on service but I’ve never ever missed and been earlier last time ! Lady tried sit there tell me my car over due now on service when it isn’t and there a sticker on my car . I got warranty to cover me. And these people just seem denied anything to pay for it fixed and I can see this from other reviews aswell! Disgusting and will be taking further ! How let people get cars that are lemons and you get warranty to have backup! Wouldn’t recommend and then they offer me renew my warranty with them I’m not giving them a cent more money
The name is an oxymoron to the service they provide
Denied my warranty on a technicality - purpose of their business is to screw people over - not to help them in a time of need.
Their warranties are not worth the paper they're written on. Malicious company - don't bother.
do not use intergrity! Check the warranty company before taking warranty out
Had a waterpump failure after four months of owning a vehicle, because the part needing replaced had a pulley attached and they “don’t cover pulleys” they wouldn’t cover any of the cost to replace or repair the vehicle, I have only had the vehicle for 4 months, paid 3.5k for warranty and repairs are coming to almost 2k, this warranty is a scam.
Waste of money - totally unreasonable.
Purchased a second hand i30 and an Integrity warranty. After a year found that the car had developed an engine knock and needed a new engine. not the dealer's fault, not our fault, an internal engine failure. Integrity denied the claim as the car hadn't been serviced sufficiently before our purchase, we needed the dealership manager to intervene on our behalf, finally got a good result, a new engine. The car had a 100 point safety check prior to sale and was fit for purpose when sold, what the hell is an extended warranty for if it doesn't cover issues post sale?
Deny cover engine part failure
We broke down 6 hours from home and had a dealer organising the repair when they told us that Integrity do not cover EGR valves. The EGR valve is part of the engines emission control system as it feeds combustible gas back into the engine. The EGR valve has failed as it's stuck open and causing malfunction of the engine and transmission which are both covered. The age of the vehicle points to a breakdown / failure not wear and tear. This vehicle is low age and kilometers and has been serviced as per the required schedule by integrity. We are bo...th health care workers and now have difficulty getting to work as the car is stuck in Cooma and we live in Sydney. We made it to the dealership in Cooma and then organised our own transport home. I find it outrageous that this claim has been denied when a young vehicle 2015 Ford Mondeo was purchased and advised to get peace of mind with a integrity warranty. I understand consumable parts however EGR valve is not what most consider consumable at $1700. Very disappointing as all service criteria had been meet.
Would Give Zero Stars If I Could!
Still going back and forth...the people in your call centre do not know what they are talking about...clearly given a script to follow I would assume?
We were without our car for 3 weeks because our amazing extended warranty covered practically nothing. Even when the policy states that it did, they still wriggled their way out of it.
No one replies to you...they ignore your emails or when they do reply, they are snarky.
Would avoid an extended warranty with Integrity at all costs...so not worth the toll it takes on your mental health.
Paid over $8000 for a car through a dealer, purchased extended warranty. 18 months later, no car. Warranty wouldn’t pay first claim after 5 weeks saying parts wasn’t covered. 18 months later oil has engine filings in it, need replacement engine. $5600 later. Refuse to cover because I only did the manufacturers service, not the six months service. Do it get ex warranty they are not with it.
Would rate 0 if possible.
I’ve made 3 claims in the past year, and all three were declined and dismissed almost immediately, costing me almost more in repairs than I paid for the car. Would never use again. Pointless.
They should be ashamed to call themselves Integrity Car Care when they have no integrity at all. I bought a car that the previous owner paid about $7,000 for 12 months warranty & still had 9 months remaining. I called up after a couple of months (still 5 months remaining) only to be told because I didn’t do it within 7 days they’ve cancelled it. Apparently it’s in their fine print.
If I could give zero stars I would
Had a service on my car and was advised by my mechanic that the radiator was leaking and advised to have it replaced. Contacted Integrity re this. After providing all the required documentation was in formed by them that a radiator is not covered under this policy (even though policy clearly staes that it is).
They informed me that it was "fair ware & tear" !!!!
What a waste of money this policy is. Buyer beware, dont touch INTEGRITY !!
Waste of money
Don’t waste your money they won’t cover anything They’re just a big scam and won’t fix your car like they didn’t to my car . so don’t waste your money i
Garbage Company with terrible staff and customer service
If you are thinking of getting this product at a sales room right now, do not add it. I 100% guarantee that you will regret it. They are a company that activity wants to not help you when you need it most. Honestly, if you thinking of purchasing, please do not. I had a policy and had several issues and one of these they initially refused to help me (until I sought legal advice) and the second they flat out refused to help. They will reject claims if you are 1 day over the log book stamp (which is every six months (beyond ridiculous if the car d...oes less than 10,000km per year)). They should not be able to trade under name integrity as they have zero of it. They will do everything in the power to not pay out claims - have a look at some of the other reviews on here they also align with this and if you go on any product rating site you'll see exactly the same. Please save your money.
Absolute scam and headache
Absolute scam, they say they will cover all these parts and when you go go claim they make up any excuse not to help you. Do not go with them 110% waste of money.
Just don't waste your time
I had this similar insurance in my 2 cars, 3 years and 1 year now. Never had claimed anything on my last car, and new one I needed to use it.
To be honest, this type of insurances are actually a tool used by car dealers to convince customers cars coming with some security. But in fact they are no use when you will really get any problem. You can speak with any mechanic shop before purchase a car about it, they will tell you.
I say take even a $50 discount rather this bullsh..t warranty the dealer wants to hand you over you will be better off.
Don't buy it
I had 2 claims denied on items that were supposed to be covered. They said I breached my service terms because I didn't get the car serviced in the last 6 months despite only doing 6000 kms since I bought it and well within the manufacturers recommended interval of 15000 kms or 1 year. Not worth the money, get a good mechanical pre-purchase check on a car, don't touch anything from the dealer or this mob. Definitely shouldn't be called Integrity as they find any excuse to get out of paying.
Do NOT buy this insurance
After paying 3000 for this insurance they have made me drive around in a car with no air con as it was only 95% not working. Made me wait in summer til 100% not working. Then offered 1100 when bill to fix is 3300 as they will only pay for second hand parts.
No Integrity At All
Pay $3,500 for a warranty.
What a lie....
2 years after paying for a product. No confirmation. No welcome email. Nothing.
Had to ring car yard to find details.
Engine failed in my Ranger due to injector failure.
Ring up to place a claim.
Only to be told. We will give you $119.99 for a replacement injector.
Well a replacement injector isn't going to fix a broken motor.
$13,000 later out of my own pocket.
Integrity no where to be seen....
