Online is so easy to order from, they give you all the tools to make sure your measurements are correct: I have bought 6 plantation shutters and they all fitted perfectly: I would recommend them to everyone, in fact I do tell everyone who asks where to go to get the blinds from.

Blinds good, delivery very slow. Almost a week from leaving factory to our door.
Great product, easy to install and reasonable price. For our last purchase the delivery was frustratingly slow. In this day and age I can get delivery from halfway across the globe in 4 days. Why does it take a week to go from Melbourne to Newcastle? The delivery tracking showed it sat in the Melbourne freight terminal for 4 days and in Sydney for another 2 full days. While no promises were made, this unexpectedly long delivery caused us significant inconvenience.

yed delivery. Unfortunately, at this time of year, the couriers can be overwhelmed with so many parcels to deliver. Please note that iseekblinds is very particular about the couriers we use to ensure that the products are delivered in the fastest possible time and more importantly get to you undamaged. As couriers are a 3rd party service, they are outside of our direct control. We will, however, investigate further as to why your order was so delayed. Normal timings would be approx 2 days. MY PLANTATION SHUTTERS
Pre drill screw holes where located to close to edge so timber split, had a few imperfections in paint and one of the door side section hadn't been cut at 90 degrees more like 95 degrees so wouldn't close properly.
tried to leave feed back with girl on phone but just wanted my payment details.

Reasonable budget plantation shutter option
I bought plantation shutters through iSeekBlinds after reading about them on Katrina Lee Chambers' website and after getting quotes from local companies that were way out of my budget. I am reasonably happy with what I got. They are definitely a budget option. For example, in the instruction videos on their website, the presenter picks up the frame a few times after assembling it on a flat surface, and holds it upright to show certain features. her with 4 connector pieces) and then when I panicked and tried to set it back down on the floor, the remaining connector pieces also broke. I ended up screwing the frame together with screws that won't be seen. I was also disappointed that the magnetic closure mechanisms aren't strong enough to keep the shutters shut, and I'll need to buy stronger magnets to keep the shutters closed. I would recommend this option for people who are on a tight budget, and hopefully iseekblinds will produce more assembly videos in the future because the current videos stop at frame assembly and are very light on details (eg. I think they ought to include warning not to pick up frames beyond a certain width the way they do in the video because they'll break, show which part of the frame is front and which is back as surprisingly that took a few minutes to figure out, how to hang the shutter doors in their hinges once the frame is assembled as there must be a trick to this! took me forever to get a few done, and how to screw the frame into your window area as this is only briefly mentioned and I think demonstrations would be better, eg. for folks like me who have to drill through brick, and use a raw plug, and screw through the blind's frame and into the raw plug, it would have been good to hear minimum depths, gauges, how many screws in total to use and where to locate them, as this is only mentioned in passing and lacks detail). As a final note, they have some kind of numbering system but I could not follow it at all! I think a more layperson-friendly system would be better, eg. this is the 100x200 frame, this is the top left shutter, etc. Overall, not quite as easy as Katrina's website suggests, but a reasonable option for folks on a budget. Also bought a roller blind at the same time. Very happy with the quality, easy to install, and great value compared to the local custom options I was looking at. Great service with the samples and especially good that there are several shades of white even in the "express" plantation shutter option. I would recommend iseekblinds to others so long as they factored in the possible cost of labour if the installation is too hard for them, and potential for needing to re-order items since the DIY measurements are so critical.2 comments

We pride ourselves on supplying only superior quality products at the best possible prices and to assist our customers save even more, we teach and guide you how to measure and install. In this instance it sounds as though something may have gone wrong with your framing, which has not been our experience with these shutters to date. Hi, I have more of a suggestion than a question. I have had a number of orders for Shutters, and all have been fantastic, and they look GREAT. However my suggestions would be, that for long drop shutters during delivery the frames should not be joined at the corners with the Hoffman keys inserted. During transport the larger packing boxes flex and break out the Hoffman keys. Luckily with mine the Hoffman keys had just enough bite to hold the frame until I screwed the frame in. Just a thought for Quality Control. Cheers John

It does help to keep the components for a single panel in one box, but I totally understand your point and the last thing anybody wants is for the shutter to arrive damaged.

Great products and service. I installed two motorised blinds and trying to pair to remote. Following youtube instructions which are excellent. However after selecting a channel on the remote and holding down P1 on blind motor I get the exact response from motor as per instructions. blind drives down/up stops and beeps. When I then press and hold the stop button to pair the remote to channel one I get no response at all. Same as for blind 2...no response except the initial response from the motor after holding down P1.
What could be the issue. Could it be the remote? Are the motors relying on wifi which the modem is approx 15-20 metres away. Or am I doing something wrong.

You need to direct this question to Michael at iseek. I am just a customer.
All sorted....Tried everything so looked up the website who manufactures the remote. Updated (instructions online) the mode of the remote and after that it started talking to the blind motor.

Hi iseekblinds, a question regarding your pelmets for roller blinds. Do you have options for pelmets with fabric look instead of metal? I would like the pelmet to match the fabric of the blind itself.
On your website, I see only black, white and anodised as the three choices.

Hello, thank you for your enquiry. At this stage we only sell the Pelmet 95 - made from aluminium. However we have assisted a number of customers where we have supplied them with the matching roller blind fabric and they have commissioned a 3rd party to make their pelmets.
