I bought a 2021 MUX LST 12 months again and it is with out a doubt the worst car I have ever owned. The auto transmission is appalling, can’t hold gears, change’s up and down when it shouldn’t and the changes are very rough, makes it an absolute misery to drive. Seats are uncomfortable, flat with no support so I slide around all over the place and what top of the range car doesn’t come with lumbar support in 2021? Yep this doesn’t!awful to drive and sit in. The cruise control is shocking, so sensitive that if it drops 1km below set speed it kic...
Read moreks down gears and give full throttle to get back up then overshoots the speed . Virtually can’t use it. Noisy and underpowered. Myriad of ergonomic foibles inside, a DVD player that can ONLY be played through the whole stereo, no way to connect to headphones.switches hidden behind the steering wheel. It’s just a really unpleasant car to drive and own, I wish I had bought a prado.Purchased in for $55,000.

Bought a brand new Isuzu MU-X LST about 5 months ago and i must say i am thoroughly disappointed! The automatic transmission is easily the worst i have ever driven. driving downhill on a normal bitumen road ( not 4wding) at 80kms an hour it will change down gears and rev high so you need to accelerate down a hill, but then wont change up! ( i checked hill descent was not on). going up hill is just as bad, it cant decide what gear to be in, it is constantly trying to work out if it wants to be in 5th or 6th. gear changes are not smooth either, y...
Read moreou feel every single one! I had read that they can be noisy but i still wasn't really prepared for just how loud, the motor is VERY noisy. The seats are so uncomfortable it is hard to describe. There is no support at all, they are just completely flat. What car in 2021 doesn't come with adjustable lumber support? and this is supposedly the top spec model. And there are myriad ergonomic foibles inside the cab too that drive me insane!!! so many im not going to list them all here. Ive had it back to Isuzu 3 times regarding the auto but they say there is nothing wrong. I had read about how well they tow but i find it feels very underpowered. I couldn't imagine attempting to tow a caravan with it, it would be awful. Ill never purchase another Isuzu.Purchased in at Isuzu Dealers.

Bought this car in 2017 to use for commuting to work and the occasional towing.
Within the first few weeks I noticed things going wrong. Started with using oil, had an oil consumption test but it only used about 300ml per thousand kms. Turns out that Isuzu is ok with that so they won't cover it under warranty and its my problem to deal with. I bought a new car so I wouldn't have to top up the oil regularly. Lately I found out that when I tow about 2 ton the oil consumption goes through the roof, it used about a 1L for a 40km trip. Isuzu have ...
Read moreoffered to do another oil consumption test, but unless I'm towing during that time, it won't be any different and they won't fix it. Other issues are related to the bluetooth being really had to connect to. Often the phone connection button is just greyed out so you can't click on it. Hands free is unusable as it sounds like you have a gas mask on and no one can understand you. Can't change the time on the clock as the button is also greyed out. If anyone opens a back window even at slow speeds around town all the windows have to be opened to deal with the wind noise. Keys are so sensitive that if you lock your car you have to carry them till you are out of range otherwise it will unlock your car just by putting them in your pocket. Bought a manual as I prefer them. Pretty sure the synchro is rubbish as it often grinds between 2nd and 3rd gear and you have to be stationary to go from 2nd to 1st gear. Which is annoying if the lights change colour as you are slowing down for them.Purchased in at Jackson Motor Company for $41,000.

Our MU-X also is 2 years old and has done 70,000km. Discovered the crack earlier this year, which prompted us to show it to the local Isuzu dealer we purchased it off. They advised we drive it only on bitumen until the repairs are complete, then applied to have the crack fixed under warranty. This was subsequently denied by IUA, firstly because they alleged our vehicle had been in an accident (it hasn't), and then because we had added various accessories. The dealer suggested we take up the matter with IUA ourselves, but twice more IUA has reje...

Find out how Isuzu MU-X compares to other Large / 7 Seater SUVs
Know better, choose better.
Serious cracking has developed in the inner guard area, near the compliance plate, near the battery tray, radiator support panel and the outer guards mounts have started breaking. At 2 years old and 170k the car wouldn't pass a roadworthy. I was personally looking at purchasing one for my wife but would never entertain the thought after seeing the seriousness of the cracks. Google search Isuzu cracks.... the car is a company car and driven by the one driver from new who intended to purchase it at end of lease. Never had an issue with his previous work cars. car is totally standard with an oem factory bull bar fitted and never crashed. Isuzu to date don't want to know about it.

Can anyone advise what is wrong with my 1015 DMAX Ute. On take off and stopping there is a "shudder" It seems to run rough and I am very unhappy. The vehicle has done 17000 km and it has been going on since 15000. The dealer has acknowledged the problem and advised they are working on repairing the fault. Be interested if anyone else has had a problem. I am in Western Australia.

Hi,
We get our new 2022 MU-X LST 4 x 4 in August.
We bought the vehicle to be our tow vehicle for our caravan.
Our caravan (Essential C Class Tourer) comes with a camera on the back of it and with a Safety Dave, SD-0109 Rear view LCD monitor for inside the car. Needs to be hard wired.
We know that in the past there was a module you could get installed to have the caravan camera connect to your MU-X screen inside the car.
So my questions are:
1. Can you plug in like normal with your caravan plug to the car and automatically connect with the screen inside the car from the camera on the caravan?
2. If you cant do 1, can you fit a module that will allow you to do this?
3. Has anyone done this to their MU-X LST 2022 model?
3. If you have what parts did you need and do you have photos please?
Appreciate what ever feedback you can give me.
Cheers, John.
