Third time dealing with service department. Customer service by two female staff was appalling. As a customer, continually spoken over the top of, not listened to and provided with inaccurate and confusing information. first couple of years of new car warranty servicing had been outstanding. Not sure what’s happened in 2026, but contact since March raises serious concerns with service booking staff attitudes deteriorating towards customers.

Rip off – Service and known issue of loose heat shield. Service $450. +$200 for fixing (not diagnosing) heat shield with a ring clamp per attached image. Go anywhere else, these guys are expanding flat out because they're raking in your money.

which was a very welcome touch. They carried out a comprehensive check and service, including changing the engine oil, oil filter, air filter, front and rear differential oils, and a full inspection of brakes, tyres, and suspension.

I was shown the replaced fluids and given thorough feedback about my vehicle’s condition. Everything was explained clearly and professionally.

on my way to Devonport from Hobart early in the morning, I contacted Jacksons to let them know I was coming up to look at this Ute with a 98% chance of buying it on the spot, I told him that I would be there about lunchtime. This was at 9:30 in the morning because it’s a three hour drive from Hobart. He told me the Ute was still available. I said great. I’ll be up there at lunchtime. Then an hour later I got a phone call saying I’m sorry the Ute has just been sold. I was more than halfway to Devonport and all he could say was “I’m sorry” there was no communication between salesman obviously. But this salesman knew I was already on my way up to look at this Ute. They could have said I have someone on their way up to look at it and if the deal falls through we will let this other person know who is also interested? I wasted a whole day and petrol on my only 2 days off, and all I got was I’m sorry and then hung up. I was so angry how they could treat a customer this way, the disregard shown to me, and them not caring how hard it was to arrange a day for me to be able to drive up there, totally disgraceful

JMC will not help and dont care, but dont mind taking your money – I financed $54990 for a 2018 Holden Colorado at Devonport. 30000kms later the transmission slips gears and shouldnt be driving it. so I said I want help I paid alot of money for this to happen and especially finance plus a balloon payment, so looking at over 80k by the end of the term. did services since purchase. JMC said it will cost me money to pull it apart I said no, I wouldnt pay them one more cent. I email asking to return the vehicle, no reply since August, until Troy Stewart from Hobart came into it and was an absolute ****. JMC Devonport took the car from my property in April, we are now near December! Still no sign of my car, no diagnosis, no offer for anything, not even return it. They ignore my email asking why isnt it returned, what have you done to the car, is it driveable, have you driven it about… no response. They dont want a paper trail. Next step…. look out Ive had enough!

did not contact him before taking another buyer's deposit (which is laughable), and when I did not respond, he proceeds to call me for no reason but to give pity comments such as "I hope the deal falls through and when you come back to us, we won't buy the car" then hangs up on me. This behaviour shows not only his lack of character and reflects terribly on the business practice of the dealership as a whole. I can see why there're so many negative reviews on here for them. JMC, Do better.

manufactuter's recommendation and did no tyre rotation, so tyres are scrubbed out on one edge. If they assume I'll be going back, they are very much mistaken!

Worse dealership in hobart – Terrible, doesn't own up to thier mistakes. Blame customer no apology and threaten of calling police for their mistake. Brought over 150k worth of cars and trade in more than 90k worth of cars. Was gonna buy a brand new isuzu but I rather travel to main land than wasting time there. Show details

Can’t ask questions without paying first ! – Had a recent service and within a couple of months had a warning light come on I rang Jacksons and was told I’d have to book it in with a minimum $200.00 fee just to take a look at ? Seriously why are companies so greedy all I wanted was a quick chat with a mechanic about the possible cause. Won’t be going back

Lack of service – First online enquiry went unanswered, second answered 2days later. In the meantime made contact with sales and sent photos of vehicle told they would be in contact when vehicle ready for sale, last I heard from the yard. Suddenly vehicle not on their listing presumed sold all contact left unanswered. Their loss purchased a vehicle in Hobart today with great service. Show details

JMC is in really good Nick – I made an online enquiry which was promptly followed up by Nick. He was courteous and very professional and continued to provide a good service, showed us the range of vehicles in stock, researched other sites for other options, and continued to communicate without being a nuisance. We ended up buying privately, which didn't affect Nick's professional and personable manner. I would highly recommend Nick to friends and family. Show details

Go elsewhere – Very unproffesional and very dodgy. They buy in oil by the pallet from a company nearby and charge you for 'genuine Ford' oil! The worst thing is they put 15/40 mineral engine oil in almost everything and pretend you got the good stuff you paid for. Was told this by a mechanic who had a conciense and left. my partner was tired from walking. We were treated badly and looked up and down like we were homeless people( well, we actually are lol). We cannot get a loan because we have no fixed address and no employment. My partner has had open heart surgery at the age of 68. We had the money to buy the car. My partner told the sales manager he wanted to buy it without a test drive. The sales manager went to the car lot to get the information on the car and when he came back said that we could not buy the car - because they made a mistake on the price. I said we should be able to buy the car at the advertised price and he said ' nice people dont do that' and that if we tried to take the matter further "it would not end well for us" I wrote to complain to Ford Australia and they said it was a matter between us and the dealership. They did not seem to care that the sales manager was rude and intimidating. What are your thoughts? Should they sell us the car at the price they had it advertised at?

0nly 36,000 kms from new vehicle for $39,690 – Purchased from JMC Launceston a new 2014 Ford Kuga Trend, auto, diesel, for $39,690. but now the car has issues they and Ford aren't interested in fixing it at their expense. Response is "car is out of warranty, not our problem ". The car I believe has a FAULTY TRANSMISSION that I now know has a very poor reputation. FORD " GO FURTHER " is their slogan but that's FALSE ADVERTISING. Mine didn't go far at all. I believe the true measure of a business is how well they perform when customers have issues. Consumers purchase new believing that they will have a reliable vehicle for years to come but that is not always the case. The truth is the second hand cars I've owned over my lifetime have all done more kms than my new one. I now feel like I've been ripped off big time. Should have kept my $39,690.

Segregation at Jmc no longer a customer – Jmc informed me by letter they will not allow people without a medical certificate on their premises. So goodbye Jmc you have joined the side of Hitler and his gestapo. As a person of jewish background I am absolutely against segregation of society. A vaccine is suppose to be by choice and I will never buy another car from you. My medical status is none of business!!.
