Jayco Eagle - very unhappy and disillusioned
We bought a Jayco Eagle on road camper. We were delighted with our purchase and looked forward to happy camping experiences. Sadly, the reality has been quite different. In the 4 months since purchase we have had to return it 3 times due to numerous problems. Wood cracking under seats due to thin wood and screws not being suitable; faulty stitching in upholstery roof leaking; electric winch failing; door falling off; front boot lock fault; battery failing; leak between van and annexe and the list goes on..... We currently can't ev...en use it as it will open but it won't close. Does anyone have any suggestions .... we don't know what to do ... What we do know is that we aren't interested in further repair work based on our experience to date. We like the size and spaciousness and ease to tow
Great price, CHEAP workmanship
2012 Jayco Discovery. Purchased van because of price and specific floor plan. My 2nd Jayco so I knew what I was in for, but was still a little disappointed with the finish/workmanship on the van. Jayco promote quality control but there is no way they enforce it !!!!!
Scratched windows, cracked outer skin, extreme use of silicon...
Other than that, good entry level van, one of the best looking vans on the market.
Great floor plan, great price, tows very well, looks good! Plenty of options. Exceptional re-sale !!!!
Workmanship. Massed produced, apprentice type finish. Lazy mistakes. Minimal if any quality control
Holidays are meant to be fun, well there not with a Jayco in tow.
buyers beware jayco might be a good price but you do get what you pay for
Good layout like having our own ensuite. Easy to tow.
Jayco or should I say JUNKO!!!!!!!We have had our van for just over 12mths and have used it 6 times. It has been in for repairs 8 times. We have had to have the whole ensuite replaced due to it discolouring, there has been several wiring issues, leaks everywhere (some which have been fixed still leak, every catch on the carboard doors have b...
Jayco eagle outback- did the finke desert race track!
I bought a 2nd hand 2005 Jayco eagle outback recently and I think it's great. Yes it's cheaper than most, so the quality isn't the same, but without it I would have died in the desert! We love how it tows, how our kids beds stay set up, how it's easy to put up and take down and how we can sit inside and eat breakie on cold mornings, watching out friends freeze outside their foldout camper trailers. Again, it's an entry level camper, and when I'm rich I will not use it, but with young kids it makes camping do-able. We replaced the fridge with a ...Waeco, which also helped Easy to set up, easy to tow, inside eating option, warmer than a fold out camper trailer, dingo proof! It's not dust proof, so in the red cente everything needs to be packed into garbage bags, and on w really bad dirt roads people were looking at us like we were crazy!
