Samsung buds and Jbhifu Melbourne central warranty
The left side of the earbuds dies in less than an hour while the right side is 90%. This is clearly a manufacturing defect. Went to Melbourne central (12 June 2021) to get it replaced and The store manager declined to replace it under ACL and wanted to buy another one.
As a consumer, it is my right to ask it to be escalated further the manager straight away declined and said to get lost. Reported this issue to Consumer affairs victoria.
Absolutely astonished by an elderly lady with a faulty tv through JB HIFI Chadstone to be fixed
Spoke with a Lukas yesterday who professes to be a "manager" at the Chadstone store. I explained that my mother who is 80years of age bought a Sony Bravia last year which has become faulty and needs returning.
He explained that they can't send out someone out to her home because the tv is no "big enough" and so therefore will have to bring it in and can take 2-4 weeks
I explained that my mother is elderly with a lung condition and lives on her own (and must stay indoors given her condition) and that she will be without a TV for such a long time...
Very good customer service and afters sales support
I had been a customer of jb hi fi at garden city in brisbane not for about 3 years there allways happy to find me the best price and willing to match it or if not in stock they call around try find it at another store they allways give me best price and have smile on there faces when I'm walking in and walking out for warranty they have replace stuff I have bought in the pass and allways happy to find a solution if can't be replaced by the manufacturer staff very easy to approach and talk to and they know there warrety and product knowledge.
Support ticket has been open for a week and no contact
I bought a new iPhase from JB HiFi Pacific Fair in February. In May, the "Home" button stopped working. Since I live interstate (in Sydney) I can't visit the store I bought this phone from.
I submitted a request to get this repaired last Sunday - and their automatic reply came quickly. However, there has been no other contact since.
JB HiFi wants your business, but doesn't put any effort into post-sales support.
Horrible customer service and rude employees
Bought an external hard drive from JB. All files lost within 3 months, so i went to return it. The buying of the product was a horrible experience as the man who served me was condescending, rude and unhelpful when i asked him questions about the hard drive i wanted to purchase. He kept giving me short annoyed answers as if i should know all answers already instead of being helpful. Returning the product took over an hour, something which should have taken 5 minutes. Employee was rude and also condescending and unhelpful. Kept calling over diff...erent people and telling me i need to talk to "Jordan" (not helpful). Finally received my hard drive refund after no communication and did not receive what i wanted as they ignored me the whole time and didn't listen to me. Their horrible customer service and work skills are a breeding ground for unpleasant experiences such as mine. I will not be going back.
I purchased a Samsung A50 mobile phone in June 2019, In September it stopped working. I submitted it for a warranty repair shortly after.
A week later I was told to come and pick it up. The phone was not repaired. The report said it was water damaged. but it had not been near water so I challenged this. Th JB Hifi rep said they do not do the warranty work but returned it to the manufacturers agent who claimed it had water damage (and the repair quote was $50 more than the phone cost which meant I would be paying for a new phone). and that JB Hi...
Terrible Customer Service
JB Hi-Fi Tasmanian stores are the WORST place to buy any type of technology due to their terrible customer service and lack or knowledge of the products they sell. I have purchased many products over the years, always ending in leaving the store feeling as though I don't matter as a customer. The staff present themselves as unmotivated, unknowledgeable and with an overall sense of arrogance. It is very evident that staff are employed based on their personalities rather than by skill, this is referenced by many negative ex employee reviews stati...ng the fact. Staff also ONLY target certain demographics in store to offer assistance which leads to standing around for help for a LONG period of time.... I have been offered more assistance from the hired security teams within the stores. If you have a question about anything don't bother because they don't know. When they do tell you information about a product from my experience and others on this forum it was incorrect, leading to misinformation and an ill-fated return. That's if you are able to return an item.... Overall the staff appear to be having more fun socializing rather than being passionate about their jobs and the fact that is even observable from the customers point of view is not acceptable.....
Outstanding helpful service from all the staff at the store in Myaree in Western Australia.
The problem I had with a TV was quickly solved and the outcome was very satisfactory. Staff in all areas were helpful and supportive.
Three months ago our Dishwasher failed. We bought a top to the range ASKO dishwasher from JB at Carseldine store in Brisbane. JB has stuffed us around all that time. I Have called, pleaded, begged, and ranted but JB service has been notable absent! Yesterday they approved a replacement. Great! Today they told me they want $396.00 to deliver it! Not install...just deliver. Not happy JB!!!!!
Not happy with the Service and product purchase
Purchased SAMSUNG GALAXY A31 from bankstown store and after two or three months charging issue came up and couldn't charged my phone. When i went to the store first they checked and told me it will be replace to new one as its under warranty and has some charging port issue (Faulty charging port and couldn't hold charge) and later they told me they can't replace as it has detected some liquid so have to pay additional 159$ to repair for which am very disappointed but paid and till today no one response and even calling store number but they never answered. Its more than a month now still no response.
Fantastic Customer Service which is rare these days
I have made several purchases at the store in Geelong and more recently the Waurn Ponds store. There is a sales person named "Josh" who just seems to know everything about all forms of technology. I suspect he has worked in the industry for many years. I just purchase whatever he recommends as some times there are too many choices and he has never let me down. I only hope he does not "move on" which tends to happen when you FINALLY find a great assistant. never mind. Thanks JB and Josh
Bought a tv with extended warranty. They came to pick it up, 6-7 weeks ago. No one answering about where it is or what is happening. Been on hold 2 days in a row for 2 hours.
Worst after sale service !
Jbhifi marsden park very disgusting after sales service returned my beats headphones without repair, they were under warranty!!!!
There service is so swift that they returned the heads with repairs AFTER 4 MONTHS!!!!
Rude, Intimidating, lying store manager at Springvale VIC
Went to JB in Springvale VIC for a return. First response I got was no return, then the staff passed the item to the next window without saying anything to me and started serving the person behind me. Then Store manager was rude and annoyed for having to process the return and made excuses of it having been outside of warranty even though it was due to lockdown/temporary closure of stores. Had to show all sorts of proof incl previous email communication confirming acceptance of return once restrictions are lifted. Store manager Brett insisted o...n no fault and refuse a return or refund. Brett keeps saying 'im trying to help you here" while doing the opposite, ie refuse to listen and address my concern appropriately. I felt helpless, intimidated and humiliated and I started crying in the store while 3 other staff members briefly gathered to look on!! Brett was diabolic.
EXTENDED WARRANTY SURPRISE
Bought a $2250 HP laptop for my daughter for Christmas 2017. If failed in November 2020 so we did a claim under the extended [3year] warranty we added to the purchase. After a few weeks of sending it off [at their cost] and getting it assessed, they sent a purchase order for a new $2250 HP replacement [much higher spec], arranged to pick it up at the nearest JB, all done
