Absolutely astonished by an elderly lady with a faulty tv through JB HIFI Chadstone to be fixed
Spoke with a Lukas yesterday who professes to be a "manager" at the Chadstone store. I explained that my mother who is 80years of age bought a Sony Bravia last year which has become faulty and needs returning.
He explained that they can't send out someone out to her home because the tv is no "big enough" and so therefore will have to bring it in and can take 2-4 weeks
I explained that my mother is elderly with a lung condition and lives on her own (and must stay indoors given her condition) and that she will be without a TV for such a long time...
Support ticket has been open for a week and no contact
I bought a new iPhase from JB HiFi Pacific Fair in February. In May, the "Home" button stopped working. Since I live interstate (in Sydney) I can't visit the store I bought this phone from.
I submitted a request to get this repaired last Sunday - and their automatic reply came quickly. However, there has been no other contact since.
JB HiFi wants your business, but doesn't put any effort into post-sales support.

I purchased an expensive vaccuum that costed me almost a thousand dollars, the Samsung wireless. Not even three months after the purchase, the vaccuum had stopped working completely to the point where I had no choice but to pass my product to jb hi fi. Fortunately, they took in the vaccuum for repairing and told me they would fix it. On the 3rd of May, I received notice from jb hi fi that my vaccuum had been fully equipped and repaired and I will receive it within 1-3 business days. In these 26 days of my family bearing without a vaccuum, it is...the 15th of May as of today and I have not received my vaccuum nor have I been given the opportunity to at least be notified of the status of my own product. I have visited jb hi fi four times and each time I have to stand with the workers and the store manager only to find out this issue is ' out of their hands' and they cannot do anything to solve the situation. Recently I have called the store once again, after patiently waiting for an hour, I was told the same thing that they cannot do anything about it. The main reason this issue is lengthened is due to the fact that I was not granted the allowance to receive the same product. After mentioning that as the store manager they must be able to have access and hold of situations, the manager only tried to continuously get me off of the phone by attempting to reassure me with the outcome of me eventually being able to receive my product. The store manager of bankstown buckled when i told him he can't keep saying that his hands are tied and many times when I mentioned that I would raise this issue higher and involve the rights of fair trading, he refused many times to give me his name and rather treated me as a nuisance. This negligence of customer follow up and care is very poor and disappointing and therefore I request for this issue to be raised to a higher level.

Not happy Jan
Bought a surround sound system off them (Sony), was completely unsatisfied with the products sound. I took it back and explained actual faults with the item and was then bombard with crap about it being my TVs fault even though the faults I mentioned were wide spread online, and my expectations were pretty much ridiculous for a $430 (normally $599) product. Have spent over 5 grand at this shop over the years. Never again. Will happily take your cash but don’t wanna hear the problems.

Very bad customer service from tweed city jb Hi-Fi
I bought a smart watch for Mother’s Day gift and it was a wrong product. When I bought the smart watch I asked the salesman that if it doesn’t work with phone or if she doesn’t like can I bring it back Then he said it is fine. He didn’t say you should not open the box or touch the watch..But when I try to return the product the manager said because we opened it they can’t return it. It is totally unacceptable.. we bought it yesterday afternoon today early morning I asked for refund; they can’t do it..I never ever going to buy anything from them so terrible I lost my 300$
Best Prices and Service
I have never had an issue with them. We had a couple products fail within warranty period, which JB switched for new ones and upgraded versions also. Their prices are always the best out there and you still get further discounts if you ask for it.

Bought Nokia 6.2 on Line 3 months earlier. Christain and Liz (Mgrs) supplied loan phone and managed the difficult Nokia Repairer. When Nokia confirmed it was not salvageable (software and hard drive failure) they immediately credited me on a premium google pixel 4a gave a huge discount and assisted in data transfer and contact lists on site via their google rep ? Len. Phone works great and genuine no fuss staff. Excellent Paul E

JB HI FI refuse to exchange a gift card with receipt (but EB games will) and refuse to provide a resolution

On the 22/12/20 3:06am - Email sent to the JB Hi-Fi support team regarding an unexpired Xbox $25 card which was received as a gift (for a teenager) with the receipt attached from JB Hi Fi which also still has the security code. On Monday 21/12/20 at the Northland (Preston Vic) store, the teenager tried to purchase a steam card with the Xbox card (ie swap) as he does not have an Xbox but this was refused by the store despite having the JB Hi-Fi receipt.
Considering the Xbox gift card was purchased from JB HiFi (rec...eipt attached to the gift card) and he has no Xbox, it seems reasonable to exchange it for a STEAM gift card (same value) which is also sold by JB Hi-Fi as we are only talking about $25.00 but both the store and JB Hi-Fi support refuse. Interestingly, EB Games allows this with a receipt but not JB Hi-Fi. 1) Considering the Xbox gift card was purchased from JB HiFi (receipt attached to the gift card) and he has no Xbox, it seems reasonable to exchange it for a STEAM gift card (same value) which is also sold by JB Hi-Fi as we are only talking about $25.00 but both the store and JB Hi-Fi support refuse, why? 2) Continual requests to escalate this concern to the Regional manager (always requested in the subject line) since the 22/12/20 was always ignored and why was the request to escalate this to the Customer Services Director and Sales Director on the 25/1/21 ignored / refused? 3) An online purchase with a receipt can be resolved (refunded / exchanged) but an in store purchase with the receipt cannot be resolved, why the difference considering EB Games will exchange an Xbox gift card with a Steam gift card or similar if the receipt is provided, why not JB Hi-Fi? 4) On the 9/1/21, JB Hi-Fi support advise if it’s an in-store purchase we can assist which is false and misleading information because in a later email dated 27/01/21 support cannot assist and immediately close the case (#173322) without consent nor agreement, why?
Horrible customer service and rude employees
Bought an external hard drive from JB. All files lost within 3 months, so i went to return it. The buying of the product was a horrible experience as the man who served me was condescending, rude and unhelpful when i asked him questions about the hard drive i wanted to purchase. He kept giving me short annoyed answers as if i should know all answers already instead of being helpful. Returning the product took over an hour, something which should have taken 5 minutes. Employee was rude and also condescending and unhelpful. Kept calling over diff...erent people and telling me i need to talk to "Jordan" (not helpful). Finally received my hard drive refund after no communication and did not receive what i wanted as they ignored me the whole time and didn't listen to me. Their horrible customer service and work skills are a breeding ground for unpleasant experiences such as mine. I will not be going back.

Absolutely disgusting service at the CHIRNSIDE PARK STORE by the "female Manager" absolutely rude, condescending "massive massive chip on her shoulder" basically stated its my problem that my FITBIT isn't working (battery needs recharging every 2 days) and ITS NOT HER problem that they no longer make the FITBIT VERSA 1 and even though its still under warranty AND i have an extra extended warranty NOT HER ISSUE (i either take whats offered or nothing!!!).. i either pay for the upgrade or take a STORE CREDIT... Thats it nothing else , on the way...out i spoke to a lovely young bloke who stated "WOW thats not how we usually treat our customers" he actually stated to come back another day and speak to a different manager , that was even before i spoke to the one today .... says a hell of a lot really......i should of taken his advice, then when i send a complaint email about her SHE REPLIES!!!!!!! So thankful that i didn't buy the Dryer and New Camera we were looking at before this happened....

I took my daughter's 9 month old Hewlett Packard computer in to be assessed for a major fault in the Graphics adaptor and asked for a refund or replacement which was refused. They said that there was only a 3 month refund period which they did not inform us about when we bought the laptop. They said that it would take three weeks for it to be returned but my daughter was in the middle of assignments so 3 weeks was too long. They did not offer any other options, in fact they were very rude in their behaviour.

No Refund No Returns No Exchange
My dad 70 years old with dementia was sold a $600 dollar mobile phone. He came over for Good Friday lunch and showed my family what he had purchased. Yes it was opened but unused. We asked why did he buy it. He had no idea. So as it’s JBHIFI and not some small shop in a alley. They probably would have had more compassion. We told him to take it back and get a refund. So today ( he had it for three days). He took it back but they refused to take it back. They said he signed some paperwork which wasn’t even explained to him. He is from a European...background. He had no idea what he was doing or signing but JBHIFI staff took advantage of that for their sale of the day. I contacted the store and spoke to the manager who told me he would contact me which obviously that did not happen. Absolutely a case that JBHIFI would lose in a court of law. Taking advantage of a elderly man with dementia. Parramatta JBHIFI it is against the law! If the person does not understand you do not continue to take advantage of them just for a sale. You can always send the product back and get it re sealed. It is a box and it was opened for a brief Moment unused. That is the only excuse not to return?!

Dont buy from JB HIFI ever.
Good guys are much more customer friendly.
My local store has great staff, easy parking and simple returns. There’s no pressure to buy the most expensive model
