Overall a good experience
Click and collect has been great during COVID (VIC), with fast pickup times. Prior to this, I had good experiences instore including warranty returns / exchanges.
Pricing could be sharper on some items, but on occasion it's worth paying a few more $$ to get it same day.

Bad attitude by staff
Belconnen mall store has staff with a bad attitude. They walk around trying to be cool and not help, they are very trashy, they will not show you what you need just try and make money from you.

Terrible service, Misleading information and money hungry.
I brought a product from the Wollongong store online the watch took all day to set up and even then the SIM card would not work properly I spent over 40 on the SIM card and the watch itself cost 200 dollars. When I took it back I got snide comments from the manager that worked there, when I told them I wanted a refund in cash they told me it would have to be done online and it would be there within a few days , I waited over three weeks and they are still saying that it isn't there fault and don't shop here they sell you faulty items and when you ask for your money back they make every excuse to not give you your money back and make you feel like crap for trying.

Wonderful service from Helensvale (Qld) during height of Covid
We were super impressed with JB-Hi Fi Helensvale during the height of Covid. Our microwave broke down, and there were none available in Brisbane. Helensvale had one, and the lovely lady put it aside, plus gave us a discount. She tried to get it delivered, but that wasn't possible.

Check their sales then buy elsewhere
I avoid shopping at JB HiFi unless I'm buying something cheap that only they have, because:
A) Their stores are dark smelly dungeons where you get talked down to by surly staff.
B) They have an absolutely abismal after-sales/returns policy which should be investigated by the ACCC.
Due to this what I do is I check their prices online, if they are cheaper for my item I go to a store with good customer/after-sales service/refund policy like The Good Guys or Officeworks, get them to match JB's price or beat it by 10% and buy from them. If the...Read more
item is faulty these stores will immediately give you another one or refund your money with a smile in their nice bright stores. Do not buy expensive things from JB HiFi! Only use them as a price reference!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Post sale no help
I had an issue with my Lenovo tablet when I purchased it jb told me there's a 12month warranty it stopped working 4 months later I called them I had the receipt they told me they would have to send it away without immediately replacing it I asked what they expected me to do without a device they told me they sell them for $98 buy a new one. That's not the point they shouldn't mislead people about warranties

Do not purchase anything of value from them
Product did not worked as described.
Went back to store within 24 hours.
No refund possible with no extra help.
Pricing is miles of online retailers anyway, but purchased locally for things like warranty which is worthless anyway. don't let anyone convince you there is any reason to shop here

Swearing abusive staff - and no face mask - Bourke St store
went to pick up click and collect - Very large arrogant staff member 'Jordan' refusing to assist customer in front on me. I offered assistance and was to to 'f%^& off'. When i explained i am here to pick up order, it was presented with a barrage of abuse and foul language including him stating "I am f&*^ing out here risking me F^%ing life for you", then he came towards me and my 10 year old child yelling "go on make a f&^%ing complaint". It was not just rude and abusive but felt physically intimidating as he ranted and kept walking towards us y...Read more
elling (with no face mask). My son was shaking. Jordan you are not a front line worker in this epidemic, you are customer service staff. If you feel so strongly about the risk to your or others lives, wearing a face mask would be the first step. And maybe use that language and attitude with your employer. I am sure the million people who have lost their jobs due to this epidemic would love to have yours! Never shop at any JB again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Horrible customer experience
I returned a faulty phone for repair, which was still under warranty. They didn't check the phone in the store, just sent it off to another state for repair. I had to wait for 5 weeks for it to come back. The service department couldn't identify the fault, so sent it back after resetting it. After using it for a couple of weeks, the same problems started to occur. People couldn't hear what I was saying over the phone. I took it back again and was told that they needed to send it back two more times as per company policy before replacing it, whi...Read more
ch would have meant being without a phone for over 3 months and the warranty was going to run out in the meantime. I asked for store credit, which I would have spent in JB Hifif on another phone. They told me that I can write to the area manager if I wasn't happy with their "solution". I took the phone home, contacted the manager, who got back to me and only repeated the policy and insisted that they ran a test on it in-store before sending it off and informed me that if the warranty runs out in the meantime, it is not their concern. No one in the store had ever said anything about the possibility of running a test in store (I had been back in the store 3 times at this point) or that it was a necessary part of the process. I told the area manager that I could not return to that particular store in the coming week due to work arrangements. Then he insisted that I, the customer(!), should contact the first store and arrange communication between another store and them if I wish to go to another branch. I wrote two more emails urging a different arrangement, but both of my emails were ignored. I had some questions in my mind. Are they deliberately stalling the process, so that the warranty runs out and they don't have to deal with it any more? After a few days, I had the possibility to go to a different store for the requested in-store test. I wrote an email to the first store for them to communicate with the second store, so basically I was looking after their in-company communication. The very important test that they needed to run was a free app from Google Play, which showed no problems. Is this a serious technical repair process? Is this how the phone was "repaired" the first time? I asked for assurance that after sending it off the warranty would be considered valid until the matter is resolved, but they simply refused to provide that or information on how long it would take. The manager (who had already spoken to the other manager about this) was smug and had the "either we send this off again for repair which may take up to 2 months and your warranty runs in the meantime, but it is not our problem OR we can't help you" attitude. Then he started insinuating that I was just making the whole thing up. It was insulting, unhelpful and overall horrible customer experience. I feel that I have been ripped off as I still do not have a working phone, disregarded as nobody cared about my needs or me being inconvenienced, insulted and called a liar - only because I returned a faulty product.Similar opinion? Amazing staff knowledgable in all areas
The stores are always FULLY stocked and if they don't have it they will order it in for you, the customer never leaves without the product, staff are always friendly, patient and know their staff in wherever area they are working, (phones, computers, games, dvd, etc) I would never go to Kmart or Myer for an electrical product knowing that I can get the best service, price and help at the store!!!!

Brunswick store hopeless - do not use for click and collects
We ordered an ipad at Brunswick JBHIFi. The store website said they had it and we rang and checked before we purchased it online. Having paid $1400, we were then told that they didn’t have it after all and that it would take 5 days to refund the money. The staff were unapologetic and seemed incapable of dealing with the inflexibility of the company systems. Don’t purchase online at Brunswick.

Terrible CARE plan for Laptop purchase
This company defaulted the CARE PLAN agreement in 2 ways: My laptop was never fixed, just needed battery replaced. After 3 months of great inconvenience still no fix and refusal to send back my unrepaired laptop to me (with photos not backed up). Secondly total failure to CARE for a frequent customer, no apology. No refund of money paid for the CARE PLAN when clearly CARE has been grievously lacking to say the least--no CARE at all. and all promises to get back to me within time frames have been consistently disregarded. Terrible. No value for money. Had no benefit from paying for this CARE product. It reeks of meanness, disrespect, unethical practice, inadequate restitution. It is unapologetic, unjust and uncaring.

Terrible staff - Tamworth store
Was looking at a iPad & plans for the iPad, staff member said, do you need a hand, we said yes. Next thing, the lady said “I can’t help you, I get someone else.” Fair enough, then another staff member said, “you HAVE to stand here” - No worries, around 10 mins had past. Still no staff member had seen us. However had 3 staff members, walking around the store & not served anyone. We just walked out & let the door lady know, not to worry about it, we go somewhere else due to no service. She informed us, we can get someone to serve us. But informed her, You got staff members, walking around & not serving anyone. & they couldn’t serve us. We going somewhere else. Went to the office works, they was busy & got served in under 1 minute.
