JB Worker Complaint
My Dad has been BANNED from JB at Forest Hill Chase. All for saying hello at the door girl over a month ago. It was that blonde woman who kicked him out. I want to speak to someone about this. I'm really angry about this. He did nothing wrong. My Dad has had 4 accusations made against him, someone said he had his arm around one girl, and they accused him of belittling another staff member. He is always friendly. Not one warning he received. This is really upsetting to our family. He said Happy New Year to that blonde woman over a week ago, she ignored him, and walked away. You should be ashamed of yourselves, JB-HIFI. He is 82 years old. He would never harm a fly. He is the most harmless and friendliest man in the world.
How dare you.
Total lack of customer service
Recently visited JB Hi-Fi's modbury store, firstly meet by aggressive security guard at front door who barked orders to everyone who came in. Lots of floor staff who were too interested in talking to their friends and comparing muscles. Then when came to check out the line was nearly out the door, only 2 registers operating but 5 staff behind the counter. I understand there are COVID restrictions at the moment but wouldnt you think that the staff on the registers wouldnt have to answer the phones as well while the other 3 just chat away. Nu...mber of people complained, staff just not interested and when voiced opinion about the number of people in the store the security lady at the front door just arked up and started abusing us the customer who just spent money in the store where she works!!!! Honestly serious training required for all staff on service and customer service.
Is anyone home?
I swore three years back never to visit the Tweed City store again after waiting an hour for service. Well, I weakened today and tried them again. Nothing has changed. They simply just don't have enough staff and those who weren't attending to customers were jovially talking to each other and ignoring those waiting around them. That's it for me.
Never Buy From Jb Hi-fi! Terrible Experience
I bought my PS4 Pro from JB Hi-Fi, not even close to a year the console then crashes on itself destroying the entire harddrive so i sent it in for repairs 30th of November 2020. I was told by staff that it would take roughly less then 4 weeks. I call up on the 9th of January 2021 and i get told that JB Hi-Fi gave Sony the wrong Serial Number so my PS4 Pro wasnt sent to Sony a whole 17 days after i put it Playstation for repair!
This service is absolutely terrible and the woman that was talking to me over the phone didn't even say sorry, she didn't seem to care or to even try help me!
Im making sure none of my family, friends, relatives, everyone not to buy from JB HI FI EVERRRRR!!!!

So do not give your information to JB-HIFI instore..
Not matching prices is poor business
Poor customer service. In this day and age JB is way behind the times, with not matching either Costco prices or online competitor prices. I was going to be at the Rouse Hill store today, so rather than duck down the road to Costco at Marsden Park (to which I am a member) I wanted to see if JB would match the $79.95 Costco had for an item, that JB was selling for $89.95... well they wouldn't match it, saying you had to be a member of Costco to get those cheap prices. Well I am a member, so I will go down the road and JB can lose my business oer...$10 (or I can even get the product online at Costco with free delivery - even other stores in Melbourne - Im in Sydney - have it for $80 with free shipping, which JB wouldn't match either as they were in VIC). Ok, then don't take my money. (Even Harvery Norman will price match Costco). Very inflexible practices when the days of store shopping are going by the wayside. If you want my business JB you really need to get with the times and actually either offer more competitive prices or actually price match, regardless of if it's Costco or an online store (especially when the difference is only $10).
Rip offs! Joke of a company.
Absolute rip off company... charge 20% then most and have a terrible returns policy. For example brought a PS4 game for a present and got told at the counter there’s no returns or exchanges once the seal is broken so basically if you get a dud that’s your problem. Had to return the gift because the person already had it got told it was played because there was finger prints on it but they were from the idiot who placed them in the case that also didn’t give me a proper receipt. I asked for the proper receipt and the idiot manager didn’t even kn...ow what to do. Told them to forget about it as there’s not need for a receipt with them anyway because you can’t return or replace. People are rude and the stores a crammed in so bad it’s hard to breath in them. Will never buy from again. Other proper stores are better service and policies!!
Dont buy from JD HI FI their Lenovo tablets.
DON'T BUY LENOVO tabs from JD HI FI They refuse to bring in screen protectors. Not happy with staff "too bad" attitude.
- JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores
Ordered a dash camera on Black Friday sale, the camera doesn't work. I was sent to a store to exchange it. Came to Supa Centre store, stuff told me that they don't have internet, and they couldn't help me and they call me back when it is fixed. Nobody called in 2 days. As a result an hour spent for nothing. On Saturday called to Parramatta Westfield store, they told me they have 3 cameras in stock and promised me to hold one for me. 1 hour driving to Parramatta, 1 hour in store, 1 hour back. The camera was not exchanged, cause no cameras were i...n stock. The sales manager didn't even check stock when I called. Now have to wait 4 business day to receive money back, before I can go to other store and buy a new camera. What an amazing Christmas shopping experience!
Worst service and Misleading advertising
I went into the Cannington Store today and chose some products that were clearly advertised as buy two get one free. When paying I asked about the promo and was told I had made a mistake. So I suggested politely that that is misleading(And it was) I was told by one of the other people behind the counter again the I am wrong, As I left another staff member outside the desk made a smart comment when he thought I was out of earshot. I suggested to him with my 32 years in retail I am well aware that their advertising was contrary to the ACL and I w...ill be recommending to my large group of friends not to visit this store because of their appalling trade practices. I would think the Muir group would be displeased at their behaviour to say the least.
Seriously bad service!
Hour long wait to pick up a click and collect order is outrageous. No apology makes it an unacceptable service.
Shop anywhere else, or prepare to be disappointed and infuriated
Poor customer service and difficult returns policy
Customer service was quite unhelpful and rude when attending the store for an issue related to a product that was brought recently, and was not able to receive a refund or exchange despite having evidence of a fault.
I wouldn’t recommend purchasing any tv from this store or anything from this store as they do not comply with the laws of practise, or follow there warranty contract, and make up loop holes so they do not have to replace the tv. It’s taken 2 months for a repair and it still hasn’t been repaired and in consumer laws I’m entitled to a refund or replacement and they refuse to do both and tell you to contact the regional head office.
Went to buy a Nintendo Switch, guy behind games counter not interested. Pathetic service in post Covid days - was ready to buy, guess I'll go online
Taking advantage of a person with a disability
Posting on behalf of a friend who doesn't use social media or the internet.
My friend's sister recently visited this store as part of her birthday celebrations to buy a gift using her birthday money. This was a big event for her as she has Downs Syndrome and the purchase was an important act of independence for her (her sister, my friend didn't go into the store with her to make the purchase). She came out of the store with a DVD and a big smile. When they got home my friend asked her sister for the change so it could be put in a safe place (t...he DVD was $16 and she went into the store with $30). The sister said no she asked for the money and I gave it to her for the DVD. Upon looking at the receipt it was evident that the cashier had entered exact change in cash for payment and must therefore have taken the $30 and kept the change for themselves. Needless to say my friend is completely devastated by this. This is completely unprofessional behaviour from a member of staff who has taken advantage of someone with a disability to personally enrich themselves and we will be talking to the store about it soon. I expected better from a store like JB.
2 issues with there services and customer service at the Broadmeadows store
There are 2 things I have to say about there service and customer service! Firstly I received a voucher from jbhifi for purchasing a tv from them. The voucher could only be used once and all in the same transaction so if I bought something and didn’t finish the credit on there it would be then void and unusable. I also could not use the voucher online it had to be in store. With COVID 19 that was difficult as I needed thing while in iso but had to wait for the store to open! This made things extremely frustrating!! second thing once the stores ...where open I went in to use my voucher at Broadmeadows store. And the lady at the front screwed up my order and blamed everyone else but herself. She made so many mistakes and blamed me and the other employees instead of herself. When I was purchasing my items she scanned 3 items (one of which I told her I didn’t want) and left out one of the other items. And again this voucher can only be used once so I was extremely frustrated they took 30 mins to fix the problem and I had two toddlers with me screaming! Once they fixed the problem I still had money left on the voucher and they said they couldn’t do anything about it so this made me even more upset because all this was not my fault and yet I was the one who lost money!! So jbhifi you owe me $50
Visited JB HiFi at Westfield Charlestown today at around 4pm today to look at a apple iPad. After making eye contact with a young reluctant salesman I asked where the apple iPads were and what is "what" in the range that they had on display. I did get a response but a reluctant one at that, the salesman was clearly not interested in serving a middle aged male. After drawing out very minimal information in regards to the product from the young person and frustration on my part it was clear as pissing in the wind that this person was much more in...terested in texting on his phone whilst on duty serving me, ( I wonder if that action is company policy???). As a patient person that I am , again went on and asked if we could barter on the price and was immediately cut down saying that Apple does not discount products considering that I was in a JB HiFi Store. Well that was enough for me and I left the store politely saying thank you to the young an dis-interested salesman. This is not the first time that I have had bad service from the JB HiFi chain. Message to the CEO tell your mangers to pull there heads in and educate there staff, and maybe ban phone use in your workplace. Not good enough.
Was in jb hi fi belconnen looking at ipads. The young girl was serving some one so we waited. When she came back totally ignored us and went on to ask another customer if she could help them. Is the fact that I am a senior that she thought I wasn‘t going to buy anything or was she just rude. The quality of jb has always been good . Will not go to that store again .
Overall a good experience
Click and collect has been great during COVID (VIC), with fast pickup times. Prior to this, I had good experiences instore including warranty returns / exchanges.
Pricing could be sharper on some items, but on occasion it's worth paying a few more $$ to get it same day.
Bad attitude by staff
Belconnen mall store has staff with a bad attitude. They walk around trying to be cool and not help, they are very trashy, they will not show you what you need just try and make money from you.
