A lot of rinsing is required to work properly
Did exactly what was promised. I dyed my hair and it ended up SO dark (almost black) and looked horrid. Followed instructions and my hair is now normal and I am so happy!
The best !!!!
I have so many colors in my hair as i like change . Everytime i decide to strip color out i ALWAYS use jobaz but ,,,i have learned that by not using bottle C it works alot better. Its stripped out bright reds, jet black,purples... I highly reccomend it
I've had packet red hair for more years than I care to remember, but I decided that I wanted to take that extra step and go really REALLY bright. But of course to achieve such brightness one really needs to have light coloured hair. So I bought a box of Max Strength (well, 2 actually, because I thought I'd need to do a double application), and earlier this evening I followed the instructions to the letter for the first box and gave myself the treatment. The instructions said that once I'd finished the process I'd probably need to dry my hai...r to see the results properly. As soon as I got to the mirror (with my wet hair) I was in total shock.... I had gone from being a ravishing redhead to someone with very light copper hair! I was in such disbelief that my hair had lightened so much. Despite the fact that I look about 10 years older with light hair (and the fact that I now look like my mother) is a very small price to pay for light coloured locks, particularly as it's going to get a treatment of Pravana Vivids Red tomorrow. I am just so impressed with this product - it does what it says and more! My hair still feels great and not at all stressed. The only downside is that the treatment is a bit stinky. In fact it's a lot stinky. Even after washing & conditioning my hair with my usual shampoo afterwards, I can still smell what I can only describe as a bitter smell. But I don't care, but I can now get the bright red that I want! Hoorah for Jo-Baz! Would totally recommend this product to anyone who wants to lighten their hair. It works!! And it was easy to apply. Instructions were very thorough. Stinky, even after using normal shampoo and conditioner afterwards.

Remove permanent hair colour at home safely. It works.
It's about time a product like this showed up on the shelves. Yes permanent hair dye CAN be removed, it's a matter of reversing the chemical hair process of dyeing. which deposits pigment inside the hair shaft. What this product does is temporarily open up the hair cuticle, and shrink the dye molecules that are inside the hair, long enough for you to rinse out and remove those molecules. You have about an hour before the active chemicals wear off, it's like shutting the door again so you would have to repeat the process if there is some co...lour left. Of course this only works on removing dye particles. It takes your hair back to the colour it was before dyeing. If you hair has been bleached as well, of course those pigment particles have already been removed so your hair will then be at the bleached stage. You can then safely apply a new hair colour. You will find that your hair may have a slight coppery tone, this is a result of the peroxide which is a necessary ingredient in all permanent hair dyes. If you do not like this slight warm tone, and are not planning to re-dye your hair, you can correct the tone with ash toners. So to sum up, this product removes colour molecules that have been deposited inside the hair shaft in semi and permanent hair dyes. I used the normal strength. If you have very dark hair or repeated dye applications you will need the Max Strength. Note if some colour remains then it is likely that the outer cuticle has been stained. You may need professional help to fix that. (Best advice ever is by expert Scott Cornwall in the UK. He also makes a similar colour removal product). REMEMBER that you should never apply permanent hair dye over the top of another dye. It is damaging and you will not get a predictable result, it just builds up the pigment and you won't get the box colour. So if you start afresh with this product, and then if your hair colour is close to one of the three on the side of a box colour, you will get a good result from box colour. When using hair colour you will always get the best results, and the most flattering look, if you do not stray too far from your natural colour. Avoid going more than two levels lighter or darker, and always choose a colour that is either warm toned or cool toned whichever matches your natural colouring. If you want to lighten more than a couple of levels it has to be done in two steps otherwise you damage your hair. Know your own colouring and what is flattering or you will look washed out or older! ( Ladies if you want a professional quality toner that lasts several weeks, look for Wella Colour Fresh, only available online.) JoBaz Colour Remover can be found at Big W and Priceline. Keep an eye out for when it is on sale and keep a box handy in case of mistakes! It should be a lot cheaper than it is. But we pay inflated prices for everything in Australia. Hair colour is made up of 3 pigments, red, blue and yellow in various combinations and saturations. Getting the colour you want is about understanding how to add and subtract the pigments to get to the right destination colour. Also learn what the numbers mean on box colour. There is the depth level, (eg. 3 is the very darkest browns and blacks, level 10 the palest blondes). The number after the decimal point denotes the tone, which ranges from coolest ash, through neutrals to golds and reds. Easy to use, does not damage hair. Does what it says. Can fix your mistakes cheaper than a salon. Like all hair colour products in Australia, way more expensive than it should be.
Was sceptical but it worked well
It says it will remove your hair dye, and that is what it does. Mine is mostly gone but because I dye my hair very black I may have "stained the cuiticle" as stated in the directions. My hair is visibly lighter and the dye has been entirely removed on the crown.
Did what it said it would
Was quite expensive

Realise you made a mistake and want to get back to your normal shade without dishing out on salon prices? There is now an affordable DIY solution.
Permanent hair dyes work by expanding artificial dye molecules in the shaft of your hair so they can’t be washed out. JoBaz’s hair dye remover contains a formula that reverses this process and shrinks them so that they can be washed out.
The maximum strength edition works in 60 minutes and the normal strength product works in 30 minutes. Simply combine the activator (part A) and remover (part B), massage the product into your hair for the required time and then rinse off to remove the hair dye.
What reviewers thought:
Many reviews have claimed that the product worked very well for them, lifting previous dye jobs with ease.
A point of contention among the reviewers was the smell of the product which can be overpowering and unpleasant. Another key issue is that if the rinsing is not done properly and rigorously enough, the dye molecules will not be washed out and will expand again, therefore, putting the dye back in the hair.
