Poor quality and disappointing customer service
Over the years we have had many trampolines. Almost all "Action Sports" brand as I couldn't justify spending $1500 or more on a trampoline that sits out in the weather. We normally get a couple of years from the mat and have never worn out a frame. the padding and enclosures fail within 12 months. this time I thought I would try something different. Jump Star is local to us in Perth and certainly the price is cheap. It is for my son who weights approx. 60kg. He has always loved jumping and as it is a good sensory input for his special needs. have had 10, 12 and 13' versions but our yard is small and he is the only one using it so I thought I would try a small one to save space. Max user weight rating of the trampoline is stated as 100kg so I thought it would be OK. I purchased it in March this year. Recently one of the legs had almost completely failed, bent inwards and caused the frame to split near the welding. The welding is strong, the frame is not. The springs have over-stretched. It is very obvious this trampoline is not designed for anywhere near 100kg for someone actually jumping on it. 3 months old I thought i'll ask Jumpstar to refund and purchase something heavier duty from them. they refused to honour the warranty and told me it has been abused - after 3 months. The reviews on this website seem to be from people with small children saying how good the product is. If you have a very young child then this product might work for you. But if you have anyone over 10 please do NOT waste your money. I hope this review saves someone wasting their time and money.Purchased in March 2019 at Jump Star Trampolines.

Deena A. Your comment is a bit disingenuous. I asked for a credit equal to the purchase price (after only 3 months use this doesn't seem unreasonable to me) which I would have put towards a more appro... Read more
priately rated replacement unit (your representative was the one which said there were heavier duty units available). It was still going to cost me more than double to upgrade, which I was willing to do if refunded the original purchase price of the faulty unit. What exactly is "accidental damage"? Sounds like a product which is unable to fulfil its function adequately. Your representative offered me a discount (not a credit) off the published price which would have made it equal to the price I would pay if purchased through Gumtree rather than directly through your website. I think you made a mistake here. I am a genuine buyer, still in need of a decent trampoline for my son. But to save yourself a few dollars you have lost a customer and I hope others think seriously before buying a unit that is unfit for purpose, despite your claim of meeting the standard.Similar opinion? Great product, terrible customer service
My mother and I visited jumpstar today to exchange a 12ft mat as it didn't fit our trampoline. We followed the instructions concerning how to measure your trampoline to get the correct size mat, however we made a human error and asked for some advice. The man that served us was extremely rude, he treated us like we were stupid, saying the instructions were there to stop these things from happening. He disempowered us, he was very condescending, and I was just gobsmacked that an owner of a company talks to a customer like that. Very disappointing. Besides this, the product is fine. I don't think we will be visiting again any time soon.

The ground of my yard is a gentle slope. How should I set the trampoline safely? Thank you!

Hello Kai, Thanks for posting this question, we are more than happy to help. Our friendly team are ready to answer any other questions you may have. Our customer service number is 08 93585660 - or you can email us at info@jumpstar.com.au . Regarding your yard being on a gentle slope, it is not ideal for the trampoline to be situated like this, for safety reasons, and also the risk of the frame jarring. You could consider levelling / sinking the ground at one end of the trampoline so that it is aligned correctly. Please feel free to call or email, or Facebook message us with any other queries you may have! Thanks! :)

Hi. Any idea how long a jumpstar will last? Normal use and normal Aussie weather conditions? Looking to buy a 5 year old Jumpstar... thanks.

No sure about the Jumpstar product itself. Although I have visited the showroom and checked out the quality of the display Trampolines and would not hesitate in buying any of these as the quality is way better than the one I own. My Trampoline is over 10 years old and still going strong. I have used many of their replacement products (Mat, spring pads, anchor kit, and enclosure poles) and have been very satisfied with the quality. Hope this helps.
Thanks Pastaciutta.

are all weight rated and exceed Australian safety standards. Unfortunately we were unable to resolve this customer's particular issue, as our warranty department deemed the trampoline to have suffered misuse or accidental damage. The trampoline had been completely demolished within a period of just 3 months. The customer was offered a credit as a measure of goodwill, however would only accept a replacement if it was an upgraded size.
