Good when it's working, 3rd time back in warranty period
Purchased an E8 in Oct 2019. Took it back later that month to be told it was "DOA" - Dead on Arrival. Replacement unit provided. In June 2020 an "O" ring fell out on the the back of the grinds container. Fixed under warranty but took nearly 3 weeks. Now, Jun 2021 there a problem with the grinder. It's grinding and then sounds like it's jammed. No grinds get through and no coffee or water in cup. Here we go again - no coffee machine for another 3 weeks probably. It's still in warranty!
Update - After 14 days I contacted the repair company to b...e told "Waiting for parts. It may be a week.". Jura Rep contacted me and approved a replacement machine. Instructions to go to original place of purchase resulted in 30 min wait and no-one knowing anything about the reference number I was given. More calls to Jura Rep resulted in machine shipped from Melbourne to me. Received replacement machine 23 days after submitting it for warranty repair. Not a smooth process at all and I'm still uncertain if the replacement machine is a good result but at least I'll have coffee tomorrow :) Fingers crossed
Purchased in October 2019.
Coffee is cold... and the milk stopped froffing
For a machine that is over $2,000 - it is the biggest waste of money. We have had the machine since September 2019. Over that time we have had to increase our milk on both the flat white and cuppacino by nearly double time to just get the milk out. It’s always been cold and I’ve had to heat it for 20 seconds in the microwave! The temp settings are on high... and I can’t get them any higher! The Froffer isn’t as good as it used to be. We rinse the milk system before and after our coffees and I descale half way along the red line (descaling twice as often) to try and make it work better! I absolutely hate the machine and few we were absolutely ripped off!
Purchased in September 2019 at Harvey Norman for $2,300.00.
Cold milk frother
We wanted a completely automatic machine and purchased a Jura. The coffee was really good but the milk frother did not make the milk hot enough. When I contacted Jura they told me to warm up my cup or microwave the milk before hand. That seemed silly to me I could have purchased a cheaper machine and bought a milk frother. I ended up buying a milk frother from Starbucks and used that for a while. Then I purchased a Breville and it does everything the Jura did with a bigger water tank and bean holder and the milk frother makes the milk as hot.
Purchased in February 2016 for $1,500.00.

Don't believe them
We have had our Jura E8 for two weeks now and the coffee temperature is terrible. Jura's solution to our complaints is to heat the cup with boiling water first and then make the coffee with the frother set to no froth and then microwave the coffee. How do you make a cappuccino without the creamy texture and why should I waste power and water to solve a coffee making problem caused bu their machine. Also in case you ask we have changed all the possible settings in the machine. In short this machine is a genuine waste of my money ($1880 AU) and it looks like I am not going to be able to rectify it through Jura. Problem solved thanks to Harvey Norman, returned the jura and purchased the Sunbeam Torino.. now this makes great coffee
We just bought our machine yesterday , we decided to upgrade from our other Jura that we had for 10 yrs ... not happy with this one as with reading other reviews ( wish we had done this beforehand but trusted it would be like or better than our old one E5) our coffee is COLD I have black and I can drink it straight away , my husband has cappuccino but he has to microwave it not a good look when you invite friends over to sample the new machine... awkward, not happy is an understatement ,big bucks for cold coffee was not a wise spend
Coffee is barely warm
Coffee tastes good very easy to use easy to keep clean. I am so disappointed in the temperature of the coffee. I like my coffee really really hot. I consider the temperature of my Jura coffee very very unsatisfactory . I would not recommend spending that large amount of money for a barely warm coffee. I wish I had read the reviews earlier it seems it cannot be fixed.
Almost very good
Overall a good machine...looks good..works well...easy to use...but ...as mentioned on other reviews which I wish I head read before I purchased, the temperature of the coffee water ,as I drink mainly ristrettos and espressos. its simply not hot enough despite my efforts to ring jura and their efforts to help. I employed every suggestion they gave me but still I can skull the coffee straight Up. For the price of this machine it's simply not good enough. My old 80 ALDI machine made hotter coffee. The longer the coffee the better the heat is but ...still not up to scratch in my opinion. That said it's makes a very good tasting coffee. I am sure this is inpart due to the high quality beans I'm am using so not all is lost. Forget about the frother that comes with it to help the temp issues if your making a latte. Makes good froth but doesn't heat it up enough. The hot water function which can used for tea comes out fairly hot which is good. My wife is very particular about hot tea and she says it just cuts it...just. For the milk option either get a separate frother which the store gave me which heats it up better or put the coffee in the microwave before serving. Not the end of the world but for a 2k machine how can something so crucial be over looked. I'm not the first to say it so it's not just me. I'm gonna have to live with it I guess. Just leaves a slightly sour taste given the outlay of $. Next time I buy another machine I ain't purchasing without the store letting me try a coffee first as the sales person told me it would be fine.
50/50.. Mixed feelings about this machine
We purchased this machine last week... making a nervous step away from Saeco machines. Yes it looks great, has some great functions and cleaning is easier than other brands.. and yes it does make a good coffee. However, the coffee is cold... Cold enough to 'scull' your latte immediatley after making. The espresso is okay, could be hotter. We have played around with the settings and pre warm our cups but still not hot enough, you dont expect to have to still microwave your coffees.
We also find that there is a fine line between too much and too ...
Questions & Answers
Hi, I just purchased a Jura E8 and when I make any drink with milk, the coffee is cold. I do not have any adjustments I can make to the temperature of the milk as everything is automated. Temperature settings are all on high. Can you help me address this issue?
Dear Lynn. L
Thank you for your question, We do have a restrictor available that will heat the milk by 5'c if you could kindly email your postal address to firstname.lastname@example.org I will arrange one to be sent to resolve this issue.
I usually drink Americanos. For20 years I have used a Jura Impressa F9. I can make it with the push of a single button— no need to add heated water. What machine does that these days? Thanks!
Dear Doug, all machines will produce black coffee, the ena 8 have a smaller brew unit and the E line and up have the bigger brew unit so if you like strong coffee i would suggest the E6.
Not a question, more of a thank you for your reviews. I can see by these that the support seems to be there for positive comments as regards problems with the machine there doesn't appear to be support or queries answered. A lot of maintenance seems to be an issue. Also the milk system. Maybe I will wait until these issues are resolved then look again at this machine. Thank you
