Jurlique Herbal Recovery/ Advanced Serum, expensive
I have used Jurlique and this product since its beginnings. They 'reformulated' this gel more recently (don't know why as it was always a best seller), and called it 'advanced'. This is a nice gel, lovely even, and the consistency and smell are fine. It seems similar to previous one to me. The cost has escalated in recent years, now at $175 for 100ml (now before tax too which used to be included), or $79 for 30ml (must be because it is 'advanced' in a more silvery colored bottle!). The product is now tailored I think also for the chinese market...and animal testing is also thus allowed on this and Jurlique products. There are now many other good natural, organic and ethical products (this is not organic) out there, and much cheaper. At the moment I use this alternately with some other serums I have found that are good and much cheaper. The order within Australia took about 2 weeks to arrive (I had to chase it up as I was wondering what had happened by then and they used to be quicker).
I like to put this on in the evening around my eyes and cheeks. It is very gentle and absorbable - not at all greasy. I received a bottle as a Christmas gift - I'm not convinced that it meets its claims so I don't think I'd rush to purchase it.
The Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel is a light weight, easily absorbable gel-like cream which is supposed to have restorative properties for tired skin. It has a mild fragrance, feels 'watery' when applying it and a little bit goes a long way.
This is a very expensive product and I'm not sure that it is worth it as I can't say that I noticed a lot of difference in my skin appearance.
