Benchtop was over a week late.. chipped and didn’t fit.
Wrong size doors supplied
Designer made kitchen wider than original and ended up pushing the benchtop over a window, the window was mentioned when the planning was done and I was concerned over the size of the bench in regards to the window.....if the kitchen was original width there would be no issue.
Bin cupboard can only fully open if there is no door handle on the corner cupboard.....
We now need to live without a working kitchen until something is done about it...
Installed a new Bunnings / Kaboodle kitchen and splashback and experienced a serious of issues from day 1. Nothing was easy starting from their delivery in that they cannot give you a time frame for delivery so you need to wait at home all day for the truck to arrive. Also there is only the driver so you need to be physically fit to help with the unloading. Similar to other reviews on this site, when you go back to Bunnings with your complaints they just tell you its not our problem and you need to deal with Kaboodle. Again as per similar revie...ws here i was initially, (and rudely), told the problem was my fault and 3 mths later i am still trying to get resolution. Kaboodle are completely unhelpful and, in my experience, have no desire to reach a resolution. They continually ask for more information and when this is supplied they do nothing other than come back with further requests, it is almost like a game for them. My builder advised me not to buy a Bunnings / Kaboodle kitchen and i wish that i had listened to him.
I installed our kitchen 7 years ago and initially it looked and functioned great.
7 years on and every hinge and cupboard handle has corroded. The kitchen hinges are always malfunctioning and I have to fix them all the time. I wish I had paid the extra initially and purchased higher quality cabinet-ware as it would have saved me money and effort in the long run.
My advice is shop around and don't waste your money buying a kaboodle kitchen.
so regret that I bought their kitchen
not trustworthy, my kitchen is still new but the corner cabinet door fell off and broken, kaboodle said it is my fault, Bunnings said the colour is discontinued and they can't help. It is not fair, now I am selling the house, I really don't know what to do. so regret that I bought their kitchen.
Four years on later.
Almost four years after installation the kitchen supplied by Bunnings still looks like new and continues to be a pleasure to use.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Kaboodle product.
laminate vacuum pealing off mdf
laminate vacuum pealing off mdf, this will happen to everyone you have sold this procedure to ,you not vacuum laminate on mdf stop ripping people off , and try two pac.
We recently installed a Kaboodle kitchen supplied by Bunnings and regret doing so. Bunnings staff have been great, but that is the only good thing that I can say. The soft-close drawers jam, the gas-struts on the cupboard doors are faulty and the overall quality is poor. I would recommend looking at alternatives.
Cheap quality at huge price!
Raw edged chipboard which will swell with minimum water leak. Instructions included are poor quality. Base cabinets do not include all hardware needed for completion everything is an added price making the kitchen set up way over the price point it should be for a flatpack product. Not a satisfied customer and will reconsider a local cabinetmaker for my next project.
Poorly Designed & Engineered
I purchased the pull out bin and associated metal sliding door. The instructions tell you to use the metal sides from the draw kit, and use the draw rails & bins from the Bin kit. The design of the rails in the bin kit do not allow for the draws to close. Upon detailed resarch after encountering this issue, it became apparent it was just a design flaw.
Terrible!! Absolutely nightmare!@
Bigest mistake to order Kaboodle kitchen!! The order arrived with top bench uncut for sink, incorrect bin, pullout basket but mostly with lots of damage. Very, very disappointed. Bunnings replaced lots of part, but still disappointed. The quality horrible! The little part of bench top arrived damaged too..
I would not recommend this brand
Had kitchen installed recently only to find having so much trouble with hinges on doors. Cheap quality materials used doesn't help.
Has caused a lot of expensive disapointment . Beware of Kaboodle .

I am a builder that has installed many kaboodle kitchens. I have found them to be of good quality, well built and easy to fit We had a warranty issue with door colour fade. This was attended to promptly and to our satisfaction. Quite often we will use other benchtops.
cheap and nasty! !
Lower base cabinet absorbed water , from a leak over a 1 hr period!!!
swelled and split! Had to remove benchtops and replaced with a superior quality base cabinet which didn't match any existing dimensions so had to rip entire kitchen out and start again! No warranty!
15L Door Mount Swing Bin
Purchased a 15L Door mount swing bin. One of the clips which snapped. I've contacted Kaboodle to claim warranty. Kaboodle was prompt and sent me a replacement bin. Excellent Service from their warranty team(Stefano).
Good product and excellent after sale service
Ordered a Kaboodle kitchen through Bunnings. Excellent service from Bunnings and I recommend you have consultant come to your address and do the measuring. You get the fee back when you place your order. Quality of the product was very good but I did have some issues with de-lamination of the coating from some doors and a panel. This was resolved quickly and painlessly. I installed my kitchen and made use of the many videos on YouTube. It would pay to have DIY experience and not be a total klutz with tools. Overall I am very happy with the whol...e process from deciding the type of kitchen through to completion. If you a reasonably priced kitchen then consider this company. All up including a new stove top, sink and both plumbing and electrical this project cost a bit under $10,000.
Outstanding customer service .
I recently had a few minor problems with my Kaboodle Kitchen (corner door hinges and a cupboard door need replacing ). The folks at Kaboodle replaced both for me (even posted them to me ) all they required was the receipts for the purchase of the items . This is outstanding customer service considering I purchased the kitchen nearly 5 years ago (even a statutory warranty is only good for 4 years ).
Absolutely outstanding customer service .
Kaboodle Worked well
Needed a couple of cupboards installed. Heavy ! But great now everything is up and running. DONT get the cupboard insert for the pantry..good quality but was expensive.....and waste of money. Everything else was fine.
DO NOT BUY KABOODLE
I am on a budget so figured Kaboodle is a great option.
To my frustration the carcass for the drawers are drilled incorrectly and do not allign there is a 10 to 23mm variation from left to right.
Therefore the drawers do not work in my case i have push to open, so the don't push close.
I have pleaded with kaboodle to help rectify this but they refuse and claim it is not a warranty issue.
There cnc machine clearly was out of calibration nothing more nothing less.
The after service with kaboodle are terrible.....
Relatively Easy Good Quality DIY Product
The majority of components went together very easily. I would recommend researching and purchasing appropriate saw blades to minimise chipping of any laminate when cutting and a combination drill and countersinking bit. This can add a approximately $150 dollars to the cost of this product providing you already have the appropriate power tools.
The push to open hardware was very fiddly and required some deviation away from the DIY installation instructions so I'd recommend anyone looking to install a kitchen for the first time to use alternativ...e hardware such as standard or soft-close. The product is good quality with solid backs and drawer bases. Customer support was exceptional. 4 stars only due to the issues I faced with the push to open hardware.
Want a refund
They cannot accomodate your needs if your ceiling is 2.7 meters high they came out designed a disaster it is terrible and I want a refund I cannot recommend there kitchen
Disappointed with benchtops
Purchased a 6yr old home 4 months ago with a kaboodle kitchen which looked amazing, after a few weeks I noticed scratches in a certain area & now no matter where you look it looks dull & scratched everywhere. The scratches are from smooth objects moving on the bench. Ive lived in houses & never had such issues with benchtops :-(
We love our Kaboodle kitchen, don't understand all the negativity
We built our own home and used Kaboodle because we couldn't afford to do all of the kitchen at once. We put in the carcasses first, gluing as well of course. It all fit perfectly and was easy to construct and level with the adjustable feet. In contrast, we paid a real cabinet maker for a custom bathroom vanity, and it is actually just chipboard as well, so more expensive doesn't solve the issue of having chipboard but we needed a special size. The gloss white heritage doors did discolour. It was easy to take photos and send a scan of our receip...ts to the wonderful person at Kaboodle who organised a replacement, in heritage style, of every single one of our doors and drawers, even those that were not damaged or affected. It is a higher quality and cleans like a dream! It was a lot of work to refit everything but as we had saved money by simply using white melamine panels between the cabinets, we never had to tear anything out, not even our hair! Photo copy and keep your receipts and call Kaboodle directly. The corner cabinets are horrible however as the Kaboodle hardware is expensive and breaks and does not support the sagging corners that must constantly be adjusted. The instructions regarding the hardware is also inadequate. Also a wire carousal we bought for the corner slides down and is crooked and a waste of money. Buying a sturdy lazy susan base and making a wooden turn table for the other cupboard worked well. We built our own benchtops and waterfalls using Acacia benchtops from Bunnings, solid wood for $99. We picked everything up ourselves, built it ourselves, and can feel proud of the beautiful kitchen that all have admired!
Bought a house with a Kaboodle kitchen in it. We replaced some of the damaged doors only to realise that the rest of the white kitchen had discolored to off white. When we pulled a drawer out all of the ball bearings fell out. The cheap board cabinets are held together by screwing into the chip board.
We approached Kaboodle regarding the discolored doors but they wouldn't help as we didn't have receipts.
I would never buy Kaboodle by choice as it is overpriced and rubbish.
Kaboodle design does not comply with regulations and fails a compliance audit
We engaged the services of the Bunnings in home kitchen design and had our kitchen planned out. The kitchen was installed as per these plans. When our kitchen was randomly selected for a gas compliance audit, our kitchen failed as the design did not allow the required 650mm from the top of the gas cook top to the rangehood. Based on the plans and products supplied, this situation could not have been avoided. The issue was a design fault. This voids the rangehood warranty and voids our house insurance. We are currently in the process of removing...the rangehood cabinet and replacing it with a smalled cabinet to meet the compliance requirements. This is one of the many, many problems that we encounter with the purchase of a Kaboodle kitchen. As this issue is a design flaw, we expect there would be innumerous Kaboodle kitchens installed in houses across Australia that are not compliant with regulations.
Excellent choice for a rental house
After reading all the review here on Kaboodle, I need to say something on my Kaboodle kitchen installation for my rental house. I ordered my kitchen thru Bunnings Chatswood and they sent out Dave to my place for a quote. It was quick and he showed me the kitchen design after the measuring my kitchen. I was surprised by his professionalism and he was always contactable during installation regarding delivery and choosing installers. The delivery came in two shipments and they did not miss a thing. The handles they charged was $8.5 each and I spen...t $100+ on handles I didn't like so I refunded them and bought nicer one on ebay for $18. The benchtop initially took 3 weeks to cut but was delivered in 1.5 week. Luckily, I found my kitchen installer who installed over a 1000 kitchens for kitchen companies and he was very good at installation and carpentry. He spent four half days to get it installed and he said the quality of the flat pack kitchen is better than Ikea. My old Ikea last 19 years as a rental so hopefully this new will last the same. I sealed all the gaps near the sink as it is a laminate benchtop. The overall result was good and I spent $4000 on the kitchen, $900 for installer, $250 for plumbing and estimate $500 on electrical connection. With better appliances bought elsewhere, the whole kitchen renovation was a lot cheaper than original $15000 quoted by kitchen companies (on cabinets, demo, tiling, installation), which didn't include plumbing/electrical each at extra $900-$3000 per trade. The whole project saved me at least $10000, only that I need to organise it myself for organizing workman on Airtasker, so Kaboodle is great solution if you need a kitchen for rental. If you are looking for a kitchen which last for a long time and less hassle plus you are willing to put money in, go for a designer kitchen. Time spent on the kitchen: from order to 1st delivery about 2 weeks 1-2 weeks on benchtop Installed, plumbing/electrical Overall time on the kitchen: 5 weeks MUST: Book appointment with consultant for a home consultation and put in order on the spot, it saved me so much time and let them do the measurement. Ask them the availability on cabinets and benchtops. Some takes much longer to order. Also find a good kitchen installer, not a handyman or a carpenter.
