It took over two months and three incorrect different benchtop deliveries before Bunnings could finally deliver the right kaboodle benchtop.
Absolutely ripped off. Quality is just cheap boards and cost is high. No sink included. Just small kitchen cost $8,000 and after that only bench top quotation was $3,000 and possibly we got local company cost us $2,000 same thing. its just ripped off. Never going to suggest kaboodle kitchen. Pantry door came damaged and took them 1 month to replace it.
Never, ever again
It has taken 8 months to finally install a Kaboodle kitchen in my small apartment. Eight months of being mucked around by Bunnings and Kaboodle. I paid Bunnings for the kitchen in October 2017 and it was finally installed June 2018. I am told a small kitchen should take two days to a week, tops.
The most serious issue is the incapacity of Kaboodle to measure a kitchen correctly and the time it takes for them to re-measure and get replacements supplied in a reasonable timeframe.
Kaboodle was a huge disappointment as was Bunnings where I pu...rchased the kitchen and they cost me extra money, way beyond the budget. A small kitchen turned into a very expensive project and has now ended other renovation plans. The Bunnings recommended installer was booked in advance and withdrew two days before installing the kitchen in January saying he had other work to do. I then found an installer of my own, rather than pursuing other Bunnings recommendations on their list. Kaboodle had measured the kitchen twice (twice) and when the installer arrived to install the kitchen one kitchen door was too big (and was never replaced, so I live without it just gets too hard) and opened in the wrong direction, the benchtops were too short and the sink supplied by Bunnings was in the reverse.
Incredibly rude and poor customer service
The gas lifters on my cupboard have failed twice in 7 years. First time Bunnings replaced no problem. The second time Bunnings were happy to replace again, but they didn’t have what I needed so I had to deal directly with kaboodle. Absolutely shocking customer service. The last last email I got after going back and forth so many times was “we don’t have that part, your order is now cancelled”. Seriously? Is that how you handle warranty claims???
I will be fighting this, for nothing more than alerting management about the way custom service is ...
Bunnings pass the buck
Our doors have gone from white to yellow. When we went back to the bunnings we bought from we where told we had to deal with kaboodle direct and given a ph number.. luckily we only did our laundry. Thank god not our kitchen as no one will replace our doors.. bunnings say its upto kaboodle and kaboodle say its upto bunnings.. I will not be letting this issue go.
Quality of Kaboodle is rubbish
Never ever buy Kaboodle kitchens. I made mistake but you can save yourself from my experience. I bought Kitchen from Bunnings Parafield Gardens SA. Bunnings team was great to help and resolve every issue. But the quality of Kaboodle is worst. Melamine was coming off from side penals of kitchen island which was glued by the joiner as I was desperate to get my kitchen done before home warming party. Screw comes with the push to open door hinges are different color from hinges which look awkward. In 150 mm cabinets push to open hinges doesn't work...as after closing Cabinets it gets open after 10-15 seconds. New hinges replaced but same issue with it. Called helpline number of Kaboodle customer service person [name removed] was suggesting to put standard hinges on these two cabinets he was not ready to accept that these products are not working properly. Gas reliver in slimline cabinet above fridge got too much pressure that its throwing door away from the cabinet. Metal plates on the door for push to open doesn't stick properly as coming off. All this blunder is happening within 2 months of getting new kitchen. So my suggestions to all of you to think 1000s time before you buy Kaboodle Kitchens.
bench top error not once but twice
our bench tops from Kaboodle were delivered within 4weeks but unfortunately they were all wrong (did not fit ) they were reordered with the same measurements again but beyond belief when they arrived they were the wrong fit. Same mistake not once but twice, UNBELIEVABLE.
Bad experience and misleading
Went to Bunnings to look at the kitchens. They recommended the Kaboodle kitchen as it was within budget. $3000 for the Kitchen and an installer could be found. Max looking at $8000-9000 which we were ok with. In the need the quote came back to me $9000, upon checking it was inclusive of removal/installation. Although nothing in writing. Checked again it didn't include it. We tried to contact Bunnings and the agent numerous times, couldn't talk to anything. All they said was, we have your items, you need to pay. We never agreed, it was at quote stage. Ended up going to an installer. Same price, less hassle. I love Bunnings but this experience was misleading.
Never again Kaboodle
I had my kaboodle kitchen installed in the summer of 2014. What a nightmare. I was one of the first to have a kaboodle kitchen from Bunnings. They dont match up given incorrect information, the list goes on. Had kaboodle sales man out 3 times still did not fix the problems. One year later Kaboodle changed the kitchen to make sure the kitchens did not have the problems i had. I still got left with the worst kitchen anyone could want.
The installer (qualified builder) said he would never install one of these kitchens again.
I am left with a hor...
Bunnings Karboodle consultants
Poor service from Bunnings in house consulting design service. Cost $99.00 and they only came for 60 minutes had no real insight or offered no better ideas than what I had already. Spent over $8,000.00 however wouldn't supply a copy of the bench top plan as they weren't supplying the stone top. Tried to followup however got the cold shoulder from Consultant [name removed]. Says program wouldn't allow it (that is crap) as i had Kitchen Crafstmen use the exact same software (2020) and produced it with press of a button. Bunnings consultant is a b...it of a joke as she had very little knowledge, experience or expertise with karboodle Kitchens. Discovered she had order more than i needed and made a errors with product. I would recommend try [name removed] at Bunnings Mindarie seemed to have more experience. i hope I have a better experience moving forward but not very confident.
Cheap and nasty
Purchased a kitchen, 2 benches including a sink. Supplied was the cheapest and lowest quality benches i have ever seen. Impossible to cut without chipping. Pre drilled screw holes oversize for the supplied screws. Has professional cut benchtops as i was unable to cut without chipping the laminate. They advised that they, in 20 years of buisness, have never seen such cheap and nasty benches!!
AVOID AT ALL COST.
I had an I home consultant come to my house you would think a in home quote would be close to what you pay well I was quoted for cabinets and benchtop cabinet quote was constantly lost I got to the point I had to ask to pay through another store as every time I called no one could find what I wanted to order
The bench top that go on the kabodle kitchen suddenly went from $2600 when the first person came out to quote to $3800 once they asked me to pay $95 dollars to get another person to quote benchtop hate to say but a bit of a scam if you want a flat pack kitchen I would suggest using a more professional company
No regard for customers
Ordered a kitchen 4 wks before required.
Kept phoning Bunnings for over a week for a delivery date. Advised difficulty finding it, unable to contact the truck driver etc etc. Eventually they conceded the kitchen had been lost in transit. New order placed & urgent delivery requested by Bunnings Manager at Kempsey store. Dispatched with same (incompetent) transport company. I spoke to Kaboodle & they flatly refused to off load it with another company to deliver it sooner. Now after 10 days it's still not here. I move tomorrow into my new home without a kitchen. Thinking of buying a Kaboodle kitchen? Forget it they don't care about their customers. Their priority was to stay with their transport company. Worst company I've dealt with.
I bought a Kaboodle kitchen from Bunnings Mascot NSW 2020 last year and the quality of the Cupboards and Benchtops and service is unbelievably poor. I had trouble with the installers from day one. Not turning up, turning up late [4pm for a 9am start] which was virtually every appointment. When they finally did start they brought warped stone Benchtops and tried to make them fit and then took them away and would you believe they came the following month with new Benchtops and these were also warped, so they left those Benchtops there and told me...they would be back with a new lot of Benchtops and i must not forget... these were to be installed sometime during the first week of October instead they were installed at the end of the following February. They left nothing underneath the benchtops for support and around the sink, every benchtop was loose and sitting on nothing and as for the invisible seams on my splashbacks, i had to sand the joints myself to achieve the invisible seams. I told all this to Bunnings Kitchen Staff and it got me no where, i even had a phone call from Bunnings telling me there was nothing they would do to help me. So now i tell everyone 'DO NOT BUY A BUNNINGS KITCHEN'
Some cabinets change from white to yellow
Over time some panels have changed colour,a problem that Kaboodle has been aware of for a decade, they do replace the items, but it is a huge job to replace everything, and so much hassle, I will be sending the bill from the cabinet makers to kaboodle, why should I pay for your known faulty products. My advice BUY ELSEWHERE my kitchen looks terrible but yours doesn't have to ,very deceptive company.
Unacceptably long wait for cabinet doors
I purchased base kitchen cabinets from store, after purchase and build told that timber look doors and kickboard will take 4-6 weeks and no guaranteed delivery date. Where is the good service and convenience in this?
Don't waste your time.
I ordered a kaboodle kitchen on the 23rd or March and almost 2 months waiting it's still not complete. Upon arrival of the cabinetry and doors etc they had doubled up on hinges we didn't need and left out our soft close door hinges we paid for. We found the rangehood cabinet was damaged so we went back to bunnings to exchange that, then whilst putting the doors together we had a few damaged so had to go back and exchange those also but the absolute worst part of kaboodle is their benchtops.
So get this. After 4 weeks of ordering my kitchen m...y benchtop had arrived. 2 of the 3 pieces were fine. However one piece they had cut 350mm short from what the drawing was. We then had to reorder the piece again. It has now been almost 3 weeks from re order of my benchtop piece and whilst the staff at bunnings have been extremely helpful and empathetic they too are getting frustrated. After constant emails back and forth from the supplier with our correct size highlighted on every email and on every drawing the benchtop arrived this week only to be cut the wrong size again.. So its now been 2.5 months. I still have no benchtop, I can't install my sink or cooktop. I can't order my glass splashback till the benchtop is in and I am absolutely fed up by now and they haven't compensated me one bit for all the trouble we've been through. I would suggest to pay a little more and get it somewhere else. Kaboodle are absolutely hopeless.
Incompetence behind belief
AWFUL EXPERIENCE . I ordered my kitchen at the beginning of March 2017 from Bunnings Collingwood and was told there would be a 2 week delay in getting the benchtop delivered from Kaboodle. So we arranged construction to occur in 3 weeks time (via The Inside Project) to be conservative. After 2 weeks I asked Bunnings Collingwood when I could expect delivery of the benchtop and that's when the nightmare began. Here I am 6 weeks later, after countless phone calls to Bunnings Collingwood (their staff were great) all I got was vague promises from Ka...boodle on when the benchtop would be delivered. Then after escalating my complaint to the state manager, Kaboodle gave us a guaranteed delivery date (4 weeks from my order) which they failed to deliver. So here we are, on April 22nd, more than 6 weeks after I placed my initial order. I was guaranteed by Kaboodle (via Bunnings) that the benchtop would be delivered last Tuesday. I'm typing this review on Friday at 4pm, and despite being assured every day this week that the benchtop was coming "tomorrow" it still hasn't arrived. We've already delayed construction, and the actual install is happening this coming Monday. I advise people to NOT BUY KABOODLE. This company will take your money in a very efficient manner, but will fail to deliver on anything else (except broken promises). You've been warned.
Complete muck up with the bench tops by both Bunnings & Kaboodle. Have to remake, causing a big delay. Had to go to 3 different Bunnings to get all the cabnet items needed and 2 different Bunnings to get the hinges, all said had plenty in stock but were none on arrival, were all on their display none on the shelf. Some door colours /styles not available in all sizes. In all a very frustrating and time comsuming experience. We have had to make 8 visits to Bunnings to order and then to resolve the issues each time having to go over everything ag...ain as was always a different staff member to deal with and my wife also had to chase up the hinges from other stores. I do not recommend this service. My suggestions for Bunnings and Kaboodle is to have designated staff members who have been trained properly by Kaboodle in the stores and stock levels should be maintained properly do not include the displays as stock. A customer should not have to go to 5 different stores to get what they need.
Bought from Bunnings kabbudle kitchen also Lamanate. Gloss top the inside of the cubard doors should be rounded off they have very sharp corners very dangerous I cought my arm and got it sliced open. Also don't get gloss Lamanate kitchen work tops they scratch terrible we waisted 1.800 dollars we had to pull it off it was that bad. Replaced it with granite
No product backing, poor customer service and a sub standard product.
We ordered custom benchtops as they had the 30mm laminate we were after. 2 week wait only to be told one piece was damaged and could not be picked up in full. To Bunnings credit they arrange delivery, but the delay meant going without a kitchen for longer than initially anticipated.
After the benchtops had been installed for two months one of the joints begins swelling along 20-30% of its length. Photos and a warranty claim were sent via Bunnings and a week later a two line email comes from Kaboodle saying it is an installation fault (Toggles ...
Shocking. Unethical. Never to be recommended.
We had a Bunnings consultant come our home to design a kitchen for us. We needed to be practical as we need to rent our home out due to relocation. Needless to say everything that could go wrong did go wrong from trying to pay for the kitchen, the kitchen not beings delivered on time - we had to pay installers for a whole day without a kitchen for them to install, the kitchen was measured incorrectly and wouldn't fit, no invoices, no warranties, failure to return phone calls. We were left with an unworkable kitchen. Money taken by Bunnings but ...no kitchen at least one that can be installed for 5 weeks now. We ordered this kitchen 5 months ago. Attempting to get compensation or at least a refund. A very unethical company. Don't do to yourself. Spend a bit more money and give yourself peace of mind.
2 benchtop S and they still can't get it right
Ordered my kitchen and they put a join in the extra long bench top in the wrong place and it was damaged, so we ordered a replacement one 7 days later it arrives and now I have a 25cm scratch on my black benchtop and the end doesn't have s finish on it . Let's reorder another one but it's going to take 7 more days to arrive . This company is a joke I would never buy off them again.
very poor quality and customer service
Most panels in our delivery required cleaning due to hot melt glue from the packaging.
Many panels were chipped.
Some panels were scratched.
After 4 sets of replacement parts were no better than the poor quality originals the quality issues have been resolved. This has taken 10 weeks.
According to the state manager we bought an entry level kitchen that most rental property owners would put up with. Very disappointing.
My biggest mistake
Bunnings measured wrong. Mmmm. Kaboodle cabinet skeletons went together very easy to do. Issue is with the Heritage drawer fronts and all door panels. They are all BOWED. Even after going for replacements at the local Bunnings and removing the new stock from there packaging. Every panel has a bow in it. Kaboodle says that a bow tolerance is allowed. Had we known that in the first place we definitely wouldn't have purchased at $7,000. Kaboodle hand balled it back to Bunnings so we could get a refund on those doors and fronts. "They bow because of that they are routed " Kaboodles' reply. What a load of garbage. Decided to go solid white gloss instead, guess what, all bowed.
