Warranty related issue
I had a warranty issue and sent through the receipt and photos of the product that was needed in order to complete my kitchen. Kaboodle staff were very professional in their dealings with me. They organised the manufacture of a product in a colour that was no longer available and then shipped the product to my home address at no cost and in a timely manner. I was very impressed with the after sales service. I would have no problem purchasing this product again in the future.
Had a problem with the finish on some of my kitchen doors, i emailed kaboodle photo's and receipts and they accepted my warranty claim and replaced all the doors, drawers and end panels to make sure the colours matched. I am very impressed with the service i received, the new panels were delivered within a week, considering the kitchen is nine years old i am very impressed.
Easy, well priced, what I wanted
The flat pack style and colour we used were antique white heritage, the flat packs were easy to assemble, loved the pre drilled holes, loved Bunnings Cannington WA for their customer service. Kitchen not finished but have attached photos.
Just don’t rush it.
Has a local kitchen company come and quote our kitchen, it came to $42,000 but more if we wanted soft close doors and drawers. After getting the quote they never called back to see if we wanted to go ahead which we did.
That’s when I decided to have a go myself and went to BUNNINGS to see what was on offer.
Basically for $5000 I can do half the kitchen with premium soft close doors and drawers. I’ll do the other half soon.
Everything is simple, everything fits, the instructions are easy to understand and BUNNINGS have heaps of YouTube videos if you need extra help.
Take your time, don’t rush and you can definitely end up with a premium result.
I just bought and built a kaboodle kitchen which I am installing in a caravan.
Great quality and easy to assemble, nice to have a flat pack that goes together without instructions that drive you crazy.
Thanks Kaboodle for replacing my discoloured cabinet doors. Easy communication, fuss free now all my doors match. Fast delivery didn't make me feel stupid and didn't give me a hard time
Big drawers are great
I installed a couple of tall pantries to add some kitchen storage and it all went together easy enough. I wish I had installed more of the large drawers as you can really load them up with heavy stuff and you can see where everything is. I went with the soft close hinges and am happy with the quality of all the hardware and have been using it for about 6 months.
Good value and quality
I've used Kaboodle components on multiple occasions and haven't once experienced any of the problems commented elsewhere. The instructions are excellent, but you do need to read and follow them, as this is a DIY projects for someone who is competent and able to understand that few kitchens walls are plumb, few floors level, and few internal corners actually squared to 90°.
It’s about the Kaboodle
After reading some of the reviews, they are directed at Bunnings and poor installation, not about the product. My husband and I completed on our own, a very large Kaboodle kitchen. After watching the videos on putting together the cabinets, we set out and completed the process with much confidence. We also glued and screwed the cabinets for extra strength. All cabinets after leveling and attaching to walls, went in perfectly. We did have a few issues with unlevel/uneven walls, but that wasn’t going to be a problem after countertops went on. Our...finished kitchen was absolutely beautiful. Also a note, we liked the fact that the backs of the cupboards were extra strong and we have had no issues with stability. We had a couple of small imperfections in 2 of the door fronts but Bunnings replaced with no issues. We did have to wait 2 weeks, but that was because we picked a colour that was custom. Kaboodle kitchen products are well made. We did all our own measuring and when we went in to order, we handed over our details and product page with what we were ordering and all was delivered in 2 weeks. Overall, we saved thousands of dollars completing our kitchen with a grade AAA standard product.
Beatiful is my kitchen i love it.
Kit was sent with great instructions .we had it fitted into an old house with walls outta plumb .so we had to alter n level as we went but it went in well.the flat pks are suited perfectly for new homes so if your putting them into older homes expect some probs you will need to work around.my amature building person was great.this was first one he put in and it took him 5 days to tinker around with it to finish it by himself.
Give it a go
The Kaboodle kitchen is the second kitchen we have installed. The first at our previous house (although) larger cost three times as much. A couple of years down the track the cupboards went yellow. We were told upon purchase that there was a ten year warranty but they went broke and wouldn't honour their warranty. As dodgy as! They continued trading under the same name but wiped their hands of any previous work prior. So I thought what have we to loose? My expectations were very low. We have or my partner has nearly completed a Kaboodle Kitche...n installation. It is looking fabulous! There has I have to say been a few hiccups as he has never done anything to that scale before. It has been a long drawn out procedure But in the end we have just as nice a kitchen as before at a third of the cost. He says he would do it all again so that is a good commendation. I am totally delighted and we would recommend as they have great instructions and backup help if needed.
Highly Recommend Kaboodle
Highly recommend a Kaboodle Kitchen. I have used a Kaboodle Kitchen twice now for two different properties and both times the kitchen turned out great! My wife and I put together the flat packs and installed them ourselves and we are by no means 'handy', so it was a relief to learn how simple they were to build and install. We may have also binge watched the instruction video that came with our kitchens, which helped!
The staff at Bunnings were really helpful too - We bought one from Bunnings Mentone and the other from Mornington and both st...ores had really helpful staff. Good to know Bunnings are good at more than just a delicious sausage sizzle. One thing that I would strongly recommend is to ensure your online planner is as accurate as possible. I did my first kitchen with some rounded measurements and I was extremely lucky that I had an open plan. I didn't make the same mistake with my 2nd as I had fixed walls to work with and it ended up fitting like a glove.
Great product if you do your homework
We brought our Kaboodle off the shop shelves. We designed our kitchen around the cabinet sizes and bench tops available instore at Bunnings. Cant comment on special orders or custom made benches. The quality is very good for the cost. The tops we brought home are solid and heavy. European made. I read here that people see the unit carcases splitting when screwing. This is most likely because you have put the backs in upside down. Theres only one way it goes. It doesnt matter about top rail sizes after the tops are placed. Water damage does occu...r on any edge of compressed board that is not wrap around sealed so just keep your units dry. This happened on our old expensive custom made kitchen. sealant around the toe kick will help. Its quite an enjoyable experience assembling your own kitchen and saving half the cost.
Best service I ever got
I had installed a FlatPax (Kaboodle of yesteryear) kitchen 9 years ago and 11 months ago. Finally getting around to renovating and decided to change the 3 cabinet doors that had discoloured.
After chatting with Gloria from Northlakes Bunnings, she reminded me there is a 10 Year warranty in the flat pax- now Kaboodle- kitchens. All I had to do was take photos of the kitchen discolouration and remember where and when we bought it ( turns out we FOUND THE RECEIPT but Gloria said she'd find the sales details from the store - a different store ...than hers- if we no longer had receipts). Within 10 days of chatting with Gloria, receipts and photos were sent to Mark at Kaboodle and, with less than a month left on my warranty, EVERY DOOR, KICKPANEL AND END PANEL WAS REPLACED- delivered to my door!!! 10 DAYS!!!! We were also upgraded to a better, more expensive product. Service like no other. Thank you Kaboodle. You have a VERY happy customer.
Amazing kitchen for an amazing price!
We recently renovated our kitchen with a new Kaboodle kitchen. We had a quite tight budget and thought we would start by looking into the kitchens at Bunnings.
With our budget we had in mind, we went through the process of designing and planning our kitchen at Bunnings. We found the process very easy and user friendly. The design process and help we got we couldn’t fault and then it was just a matter of building the kitchen.
We had our kitchen delivered and to our disappointment 2 of the doors got damaged during the delivery. Bunnings wer...e really helpful and organised replacements doors straight away. Putting the kitchen together ended up being easier than what we expected and we are so happy with the finished result!! We went with the Euro oak timber bench top, Alpine doors in antique white colour. All doors are soft closing. So amazing what could be done in such a tight space! The way the kitchen looks now you would think we spent 3 times more than what we did. Very happy customers and highly recommend Kaboodle kitchens!!
The girls at pakenham gave me the best results for my laundry from start to finish
Got the best results from the girls i can send you pics from start to finish the laundry looks fantastic
Great Result with a Kaboodle Kitchen
I've just finished a complete kitchen reno. Plaster, floor tiling, electrical. plumbing and gas. Then came the flatpack kitchen from Bunnings. My wife chose Gloss White which made things really easy because every Bunnings store stocks these as standard. If one store doesn't have what you want the next one down the road probably will. I was really impressed with the quality and strength of the Kaboodle cabinets. Everything went together superbly. Kaboodle cabinets don't have flimsy 3mm backs like another major brand. I'm not quite a tradie, more...a tragic DIYer. Both Notting Hill and Chadstone Bunnings were really helpful, but some product knowledge was lacking at times. This is to be expected if you haven't actually put one of these kitchens together yourself and come across some of the nuances. 'She who must be obeyed' is extremely pleased with the result. We have just ordered our stone benchtops from Bunnings as well and know that they will be well worth the dollars. Installation fee of $500 is a bit steep but you have to know your limitations. I don't do stone! Glass splashbacks to follow and I don't do glass either. There are quite a few tips I could pass on to fellow DIYers but I guess I won't have space here. Suffice to say that you need a good range of tools and quite a bit of patience. Ours is an old house and the floors aren't very level and the walls not square, although I believe new houses can be worse! Some compromise is needed. I envy those who put together the display kitchens in a new Bunnings like Chadstone, with almost perfectly level concrete floors to work with. To get a nice result you do need to be reasonably good at what you do but would you attempt to build your own kitchen if you couldn't use basic power tools? The Kaboodle videos are very instructive and every pack comes with its own line drawings. If you can't follow basic instructions then a Kaboodle kitchen is not for you, unless you get a friend or rel to help. The nice part was being able to buy as much of the kitchen as I could cope with each week rather than be surrounded by many boxes and starting to freak out. So, plan carefully, measure once and then again, think about what you are doing and be prepared to learn as you go. Follow the tips provided by Kaboodle like using silicone sealing around the bases of all cabinets. You will get a very nice kitchen by installing it yourself and save yourself thousands. Buy the best Kaboodle offer, like soft closing hinges and drawer runners and metal sided pot drawers. I think you'll be very pleased and have the satisfaction of knowing that you put it together yourself.
excellent low cost kitchen
Put in a largish kitchen 2 years ago. Gloss white base cabinets with 6 pane glass fronted wall cabinets and oiled bamboo bench tops. Looks fantastic. So far still looking like new. No problem with bowing of any panels. Only problem we've had was insufficient glue to hold in the glass on one panel. Kaboodle replaced it and sent another pair as well !!! But we haven't needed them. Also put in another Kaboodle kitchen in a rental property and also no problems. High quality low cost kitchen but you probably need some carpentry skills to install. It...'s a little harder than putting together an IKEA flatpack desk !! Worth paying the extra for the soft closing hinges. I also prefer the high melamine sides on the Kaboodle drawers over the IKEA drawers which are quite low. Also the IKEA drawer and cabinets are a fraction deeper than Kaboodle so don't put a Kaboodle benchtop over IKEA cabinets or you won't get a decent overhang.
A decent product, no issues.
We used the kaboodle cabinets in the spare room to create a 4.2 metre desk. On one side we have 900mm drawers, a 900mm gap, a 450mm cabinet in the middle, 900mm gap and a 900mm cabinet at the end. It was easy to put together after the first one. It is not a high use area but, so can't judge for a kitchen. We installed the desk 18 months ago and still looks brand new. My kids use the cabinets/drawers, and they are not the gentlest of kids, and they look brand new still.
