I have the same problem. Bought this fan in Feb, 10 months ago, the top is too heavy and it makes funny noise when turning.
Good fan power, not built to last
Purchased in February 2019 for $100.
Owned 2 entirely had to get the first one replaced under warranty within months. Seems like the top is too heavy and sags downward and eventually both snapped and lost the ability to oscillate. The structural integrity of both were compromised and just sat facing downwards.
Was relatively loud but that's the trade off for decent power. Almost wish it had a setting lower than 1 as it was very powerful at minimum.
Well kinda, it is great at blowing air, even on low it's fairly quiet but airflow is great, on high it's a little noisy but airflow is unreal. Kind of expensive since it did start rusting after 12 months. It also does oscalate funny every now and again like it gets stuck and then frees itself.
