It's a toaster Jerry.
What a piece of crap, thought a Kambrook toaster would be better than a no name brand, i was wrong.
The bottom of the toast not cooked the middle barely cooked the top burnt to a crisp, you can clearly see that the elements are not all working at the same level, some of them in the middle barely red the ones at the top brighter than the sun.
One of the slots also cooks the toast on one side and almost nothing on the other side.
I can buy 3 $15 cheapies from Kmart for the price of this thing, surely one of them will be able to perform it's function.
Edit: Returned toaster for refund at Woolworths, bought $25 Contempo branded toaster from BIGW and it works fine.

It has one job...
Needed a new toaster and Woolies had these on special. I'd heard good things about Kambrook toasters so picked one up. Bad decision.
Mechanically the toaster is fine - smooth operation and nothing gets stuck. However it toasts very unevenly - I have to flip the bread and re-toast to get any kind of decent result, but that also means I have to closely watch during the second go so it doesn't burn. It makes me cross every time I use it.
You can clearly see in the photos that the outside elements do not evenly heat up (the pic was taken near t...

Not bad for the money
Bought the model with a black finish. It looks great. Compact and light with simple controls (slide is better than dials). Toasts evenly but requires a long time setting. In other words- it’s slow as. But for under $50 who cares?
Have had a Kambrook rice cooker forever so hopefully this follows the example.

Toast - its highly emotional !
The Sunbeam Cafe toaster went to the other half in the seperation but I couldn't extend myself to spend +$100 again despite how great that product is. So $50 was my budget and after reading every review on here I could not believe how emotional toasting a piece of bread could get !
I settled on a Kambrook 2 slice unit that looked like the old Sunbeam Toastamatic, (now wasn't that an iconic piece of technology many years ago). In my research I discovered the more horizontal elements in a toaster the better the browning consistency. Lower q...uality toaster have 6-8, this Kambrook has 10 elements with a slight slant. First few uses the toaster was inconsistent but after some more use the elements 'bedded' in and improved. The long horizontal slider lets you tailor your settings and best you start off midway at the 3 level. The rounded stainless steel outer is reasonable quality, but the cord storage is a bit hit and miss. The 'outside' holes are too big for the fitted cord so they don't fit tight, small nuisance that should of been picked up on. Oddly, the best price I found was my local Woolworths supermarket for $45. Kambrook offer 24 month warranty.
