Most dangerous kayak NextGen 7
NextGen 7 is a dangerous kayak.
It says for the most passionate fisherman, teenagers, small adults and seniors so I purchased one for my teenage daughter and it flips her out, we then tried it with our 12 year old son it also did the same,
Two adults have tried it that were under the 90kg weight and it’s not stable, we too fell out.
I would never let my kids in one of these kayaks again.
I’ve emailed saying how dangerous it has been and what it did whilst my children were in it with a response saying,
“It’s a child’s kayak ranging from 7-1...Read more

Charged but not delivered
I placed an order and I was charged on 24 December for a J-Style roof rack plus delivery, in 5 January I receive an email that the item has been dispatched. I enquire on 23 Jan about tracking the delivery and in 29 Jan I am told that is not in stock. Reason: due to a small error in the system. Now I know where not to shop again.

Hi Maria, sorry for the experience you had with us. We have investigated the issue and it was completely our fault. We have now put into processes to better manage the stock.

BUT Unsure of rating
Purchased fishing kayak for my daughter and loved it until after 2nd outing the hull was half filled with water. We are trying to determine how the kayak leaked and will probably have to take it back to the nearest outlet for warranty testing, a two hour drive. Very disappointing after reading so many positive comments online but it happens. Will post outcome when resolved.

Hi Louise, sorry to hear about it. Once we have received your kayak back at the warehouse we will investigate to find out the cause of the leak.
All pretty much sorted. I have been informed the kayaks hatches are not waterproof and can only handle splashes. Ours was left in the rain, so i now know not to stay out in bad weather conditions.

Hi Louise, best to use a Kayak Cover if you are going to be leaving them outside. It also helps to keep spiders, snakes etc away during the winter months.

They failed to give me $30 credit for a review because it was negative. Yet everyone else gets $$$ for their reviews.
The products are also horrible quality.

We posted it out, as usual, when Wayne received the items he said he wanted a different colour. For some reason, he thought we will post his desired colour even though he didn't choose the right colour while placing the order.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Horrible
Purchased the kayak under the pretence of the mould not being sourced from China. The Kayaks are made in China and there is no evidence any material is sourced outside of China.
Everything is poorly made and has the potential to sink according to an email “kayak may have tiny holes around the scupper plug area, which are very hard to notice during the manufacturing process. This can cause a leak and fill the hull with water and can potentially sink the kayak.” Which doesn't surprise me because there is no international standards for this Chine...Read more

her product, where it is hard to find a defect until later. We care deeply about the safety of our customer hence an automated email goes out to every one customer to advice the "Do's and Dont's". One of the advice in that email is to take the kayak out for test run in shallow water first. It helps to identify any issues before customers head over to remote locations on holidays. We sell thousands of kayaks every year and only a handful comes back with any serious issues.I think the whole idea of using the Kayak in shallow water is to waiver liability, blame the customers for their death, Right?
How exactly do you expect the kayaks to expel water from the tiny holes n... Read more

Still waiting
I ordered a Kayak I’m August 2020 for my kids for Christmas and still waiting. Initially told 6-8wks, then got a text saying not until 5/12/20, then got a text saying 22/12/20 and now received a text saying 05/01/20, guess the kids won’t be getting a kayak for Christmas.
Very very unimpressed. Even with Covid surely it doesn’t take that long. Let’s see if it comes at all, maybe by next Christmas they might have it.

Dangerous Kayak - WARNING!
Bought Nextgen9 Kayak as surprise for my hubby earlier this year (2020). He is an experienced kayaker. He had it in the water on 2 occassions, and both time it capsized WITHOUT WARNING! He was not moving about or standing up, just reached to get his rod, afterall it is supposed to be a fishing kayak. 1st time he was in deep, calm water & he lost a substantial amount of fishing gear plus suffered from hypo & shock.
I decided to give the company the chance to rectify the situation (as I understand there could be a manufactures fault) BEFORE post...Read more

We advise customers to leash all items on the kayak in case they capsize. We also advise customers to start off in shallow water to get the hang of the kayak. A series of automated emails go out after purchase with Dos and Don'ts. Please also upload your invoice along with your review so we know you are a genuine customer (not a competitor) and we can then contact you to work out a resolution.Similar opinion? Unfortunately, there was no courier company that delivers that early in the morning. The delivery driver was on the way with your kayak (to deliver around noon) when we were told that there will be no one home and there is no safe place to leave the kayak. Slowest record for product
3 mates of mine and I ordered 4 kayaks in June this year 2020. Its 15th Oct and still waiting !! We have been given all sorts of excuses for delays in China ... how pathetic , As we are part of the logistics industry we bring 25 + Import containers from China every month . Kayak2fish cannot bring one ? Their excuses are pathetic to say the least .....guess they did not expect Import Logistics industry people to be some of their buyers when they started sending terrible untrue excuses for importing from China !!!

is no central location that distributes stock to all locations. Also, it depends on how many people are in front of you in the queue, and it could add longer delays if too many people ordered the same kayak and colour type.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

crap customer service
i bought outriggers. they arrived without screws and items needed to put them together or instructions. they hadn't checked the box before it went out. its been two weeks and the 'technical team' are reviewing it to see what to do... really? it takes a technical team to send a packet of screws and a sheet of paper? wouldn't buy from this company again.

Hi Laura, sorry it took longer to send out the missing parts. Sometimes we have to wait for more spare parts to arrive.
Also, it is impossible to open and inspect all boxes before shipping them out.

Great Kayak Poor After Sales Service
Purchased a Oceanus 3.8m kayak great touring kayak, very stable and tracks like a dream. I am using it to paddle 500km on the Darling River to raise awareness of PTSD. Great storage capacity for water and other supplies. During a 30km practice run on the MacQuarie River near Wellington NSW I capsized coming down a rapid hitting a submerged tree. I lost the front storage compartment silicon cover or deck plate. I have emailed kayaks2fish to seek a replacement and basically I was told to order one off ebay as they can't be bothered ordering spare...Read more
s as they take 6 - 8 weeks to come in from overseas. There are no silicone style covers on ebay so now I will be forced to buy a screw down plate not designed for this kayak. When I asked who the manufacturer was so I could attempt to order direct I received no reply. I got the impression from the emails that I was a nuisance and basically I received the cold shoulder in short and abrupt replies. Not a very good after market experience, the kayaks a good but pray nothing goes wrong with them.1 comment

The kayak is designed for youths and small adults. We have sold thousands of these kayaks and we never received feedback like this. So it surprised us when you emailed us the issue, hence we requested to send us the photos of the kayak so we can investigate further. However, it seems you have decided to leave a review in the meantime anyways. In regards to the dent, if you were to tighten the strap too tight on a hot day it could damage any kayak. We use the same material for all our kayaks and NG07 is not built any different.
