Kayaks are great. Customer service is terrible.
Purchased 3 kayaks about 4months prior to Christmas. Went to collect once ready. The warehouse had ran out of one color. The poor men in the warehouse were run off there feet as every order seemed to be incorrect. They said this was a constant. Getting a hold of head office was a nightmare both for the warehouse operators and myself. Once we finally got through they argued with the warehouse operators that stock was there and then advised me my 13yr old son could have a purple kayak instead. Warehouse guys were Great, head office the opposite. 2.5 hours of standing around because they screwed up and we still didn't leave with what we ordered.

Not the best customer service
So I ordered my 10mk2 kayak from kayak2fish on backorder. I placed the order sometime at the start of July.
1st disappointment: I received my kayak in December !!! When ordered they said it should not take longer then 3 months but they kept postponing my order on various reasons (Covid, No courier and so on)
2nd disappointment: when finally the kayak left their store I got an e-mail saying the courier will take 1-3 days to be delivered at a depot in the town I live and that I would be notified once it arrived. 1 week later I call them to see ...Read more

Hi Marian,
Sorry to hear about your experience with us. We realized that our process for handling deliveries to depots is not adequate. We are working on it now to make it better for future orders.

Keeps breaking not a kayak i would recommend
I have 2x NEXTGEN 10 MKII we have used them only 2 times now. First time out the one paddle strap holder broke (they sent me a new one) then got some wheels from them first use one wheel broke just rolling to the water say 50mt away.
The rudder system on both are rubbish both russted and i am going to replace them with diffremt brand And the handles on the front off both broke off. So far not a good run with this brand

Hi there, it seems there were a fair bit of issues with your purchase. We had made note of them and will pass it to our factories for improving the products in future.

Mixed success with the Nextgen 10 Mark 2
We bought a Nextgen 10 Mark 2. My son of 16 and myself a 56 year old father have both used kayaks at Lake Macquarie which had the soft seats and were a bit shorter than the Nextgen 10 Mark 2, so was fairly experienced in using kayaks and have never tipped over. We bought the Nextgen 10 Mk 2 specifically for fishing and seeing on videos it was very stable we chose this one to buy. We were sure that this bigger Kayak designed for fishing would be very stable as seen in the demo video online. My son found it difficult but took it out for the first...Read more
time at Bobbin Head on the Hawkesbury River at the Marina so it was very calm. My son caught a flathead but found it difficult to manoeuvre and did not feel confident in it's stability. He is 72kg and 5"11'. I had a turn and found it very difficult to steer and found it very unstable. I actually didn't get too far and capsized in calm water losing my fishing rod, rod holder, new reel, tackle box, bait and my prescription sunglasses along with feeling very embarrassed. I was disappointed with the stability and manoeuvrability of this kayak. I am 6' 1' tall and 108kg. I'm not sure why but perhaps it was the hard framed Vantage seat being too high, although it was in it's lowest possible position. I am not confident to take this out again unless it had some stabilisers. It is heavier than I expected to and needs two people to get on and off the car and move to it's storage spot at home. I could not carry it on my own.1 comment

Hi Mark,
NG10 Mark II comes with two height sitting position. It is best to use the lower position first before moving on the higher one. It takes a bit of practice to find your balance.... Read more
Also, it is best practice to leash everything on the kayak, especially fishing rods.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Overweight
I purchased a nextgen 10 kayak with a quoted weight of 23kgs as splashed all over advertising. The real weight of the kayak is more like 31 kg with seat etc. Company said 23kg is for totally bare hull only....not much good without seat, hatch covers etc!!!!. Deceptive and misleading advertising....not impressed...

Hi Robert,
On our website, we mention two weights, one for Hull and one for Hull with Fixtures. Seats and paddles are not attached to the kayak permanently, they are not part of fixtures.

Hi Clara, apologies for the experience you had with us. We made a mistake with the stock count and wasn't able to provide the colour you were after. We have since looked into our process and have improved it to avoid such problems in the future.
