Auto electrician requesting an explanation from Kenwood. I have purchased 4 in car head units to install for my customers - ALL FAULTY !! DMX5023s DMX9724XDS Faults include - DAB stations - cutting in and out / poor reception. Installed digital audio amplifier. At my cost. Still did not work. Bluetooth losing connectivity. Bluetooth cutting out during phone calls.
Units rebooting during use.
Spoke with Kenwood tech support about all units. As per there request I downloaded updates for all units onto USB and updated software - did not work.
Kenwood service told me a rep would be in touch with me regarding all the warranty problems. Still waiting.
I will never buy this junk ever again. Your products have tarnished my reputation and cost me a lot of time and money.

Product missing feature, deceptive conduct – Bought a dmx9720xds. Kenwood acknowledges its missing the android auto auto launch feature but don't seem to want to do anything about it but ignore me.

Bad support from Kenwood Australia :( – I have had the unit for 2 years. This unit is good , everything works as it is supposed too up until you need to disconnect your battery. The major issue is once you disconnect your battery for what ever reason, be it to change out for a new battery or adding other electrical components to your car, it locks you out and you have to send the unit back to Kenwood to get it unlocked. I know this is a safety feature in case of theft, but being the original owner, with the receipt for my unit and it was installed by Alberts Car Stereo (The store I bought it from closed for good during Covid) you would think there would be an easier way and not cost extra. Talking to Kenwood to get to the bottom of the issue, they will not allow me to reset it myself (I have an electrical and electronics background)so it looks like it is going to cost me $96 to get them to reset it to factory standards and send it back to me - there are no Kenwood car stereo repairers in Perth. Alberts Joondalup, who now is the closest to me, said they do not put in a code when they install the units, ever, and Kenwood insist that somebody must have, even if I did not do it myself. I am the only one that drives my car. I didn’t know about this issue when I bought the unit, this is a heads up to anyone considering getting one. I would have gone with the Alpine. Hindsight, eh. I paid $2000 for this unit, speakers and install and now it looks like it is going to cost me some more. Very bad support from Kenwood.
