Kia Cerato TROUBLE less than 40,000 kms
Kia Cerato started & thick black smoke discharged then power died. Car was serviced few months ago & has less than 40,000kms on the clock. Is serviced regularly so its a mystery. I got it towed Fri 22/1/21 to my home because it was just after hours . Rang 2 closest service centres who can't look at it til 3/2/21. Got it towed to service centre today 27/1/21 who did last service. Towing cost $152 so far despite being RAA member over 15 years. It needs a diagnosis BEFORE I can have courtesy car?! So I havent had use of a car for 5 days & won't for another 7 days. That's very inconvenient & disappointing & I wanted others to know what they can expect.

Thankyou
I would like to give Berwick Sales Manager Luke a massive Thankyou. I was given a loan car for sometime until my new car arrived. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was surprised to see my car in the Showroom wrapt up in cloth with a huge Red bow. The experience with Kia has been nothing but Par Excellent. My car is everything that I had hoped for.
Thankyou so much, Marg.

Kia Toowong would not help me and treated me with complete indifference
I bought a Kia Cerato in 2013. The car would stop, usually in low gear, it would just stop and would not respond to the accelerator, even if I put my foot flat to the floor. I would turn off the engine and turn it back on and it would be fine. I took the car to Kia Toowong Service Centre and several times they would "put it on the diagnostics" and say, "sorry, can't find anything wrong". After seven years of putting up with this I spoke to a smart engineer who said it is probably the TPS so I googled "AutoGuru" and picked an excelent mechan...Read more
ic at "Auto Parts, 156 South Pine Road, Enoggera". They put it on their "diagnostics" and found the problem immediately and fixed it. In the meantime I had spent seven years of frustration and being ignored by the Kia Service Centre at Toowong, Brisbane. This problem was a danger to my life and the lives of others on the road but there was not the slightest concern from Kia.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!
National Capital Motors
Our Kia Rio was at National Capital Motors for 8 weeks with an apparent warranty issue with no resolution. We had it towed somewhere else to be repaired at our cost. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

They won’t sell me a car?
Went in to Kia at Newcastle and East Maitland looking at the new Kia Seltos as this was to be my preferred new car the Seltos GT Line. Firstly walking the lot, no one would talk to me or make me feel welcome I had to stand awkwardly in the sales office waiting for someone to look up from their desk to see I was in. Asked for a quote on the Seltos and was told there will be no negotiation on price so do t expect to pay less than advertised, not that I actually went there. I then left and went to Kia Maitland. Both were to put together quotes for...Read more
me. Both told me they would get back to me that day, neither did. I left it a few days however that ran to the end of the week, just forgotten about, is this customer service? I then followed up and called them both back 6 days later. They still had all my details & again both told me they would be getting back to me, again no one did. I’m ready to go and buy my new car but neither of the dealerships seem to be interested in making the sale and helping me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Kia East Maitland Was Terrible
Was excited to purchase my new Kia Seltos and then the sales manager Dominic stepped in and everything went down hill dealing with him, don’t go there if you want to be treated with disrespect and rudeness and he tried to rip me off! Needless to say I have spoken to everyone I know and warned them not to purchase from him and it was very interesting to hear they to have had bad experiences from Kia East Maitland especially the “sales manager” if I can recommend somewhere to go it would be Cessnock to purchase your next car.

A joy to deal with and a joy to drive!
The professional service and support provided by salesperson Michelle Parks was amazing. She was patient and understanding, even though I took a while to settle on the vehicle I wanted. The Kia Sportage I purchased is terrific and a real pleasure to drive. I highly recommend Michelle and Chadstone Kia and Mitsubishi for any vehicle purchase.

Just bought my 5th Kia from Blackburn Kia
On Saturday I picked up the latest Kia Sorento (2021 Model) from Blackburn Kia. This is the 5th Kia we have owned (my wife has a Sportage) and I keep going back to Blackburn Kia in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs, because the service from both the sales and technical staff has been just superb over the last 10 years or more. We always get a great deal price wise (fantastic trade in price) and Kia's 7 year warranty and fixed price servicing (once a year) makes it great value. But above all the Kia Sorento and Sportage are superb cars. My new Sor...Read more

Perfect. Will always go through Kia Roadside Assist.
This morning i went to leave for work and my car wouldn’t start. Called Kia roadside assistance, the man over the phone was really nice and super helpful. They told me they would have someone out to me within the hour & had someone call me about 10 minutes later to tell me he would be 10 minutes. I waited about 20 minutes max, the man was really lovely and sorted out my issue within 5 minutes. $250 for a new battery & that was it! So thankful for Kia roadside assist!

Salesperson at Kia Brendale
We wanted to compliment your salesman "Hayden Wilson" at the Brendale Kia branch. What a delightful young man. We knew we wanted a new car but wasn't sure on size, model etc. Hayden was so helpful and gave us the variations on the models, we decided on a car and put a deposit down, Covid restrictions commenced and the car we ordered was not going to arrive anytime soon. We returned at a later date and made the decision to still purchase a Kia car. We really liked Hayden, he was not the usual hard salesperson type, we were taken by his extremely...Read more
polite manner, honesty, rapport and generally his calm sales technique, very refreshing. When we picked up the car, he made sure we knew exactly how to use everything and insisted we call if any problems. We called him on two occasions, his after care service was very helpful. He is an asset and credit to your company. I hope this review will be put on his staff record.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Wish I could give Kia Toowong -1 star
Was told I could collect my car on Friday & it was promised that it would be ready the day before.
Rang on Friday before going to collect it, not ready yet.
Was told it would be delivered on Saturday. When my car had not arrived I contacted the dealership, as I had not even been given the courtesy of a phone call to let me know what was happening.
I have been told 10 different stories about what is happening with my car by 2 employees and the manager.
When I complained about the service I was receiving I was told it was my fault that it wasn't ready, no apology.
The appalling customer service and lack of communication and honesty I have experienced from this business has completely soured the experience of buying a new car.

Inside Look Dealerships,Manufacturers,Importers
Hello having worked with dealerships the best part of 40 years the standards of Customer Service is driven by the Manufacturers and Importers,
Having read so many reviews I can sympathise with the general public the excuses are pretty much the same right across all Dealerships,
The war that exists between Dept's Spare Parts, Service, New Cars,
these dept Managers all care about one thing themselves they will blame each other for the failings of their dept's and in the meantime Customers suffer,
Service Dept Majority of the time blame spare par...Read more

Sale is done, Go away Mr. Customer
I want to write about my recent purchase from Kia Castle Hill.
We signed a contract to buy Kia Seltos and paid 6k deposit on that day. within a week we paid another 5.5k. We change our mind on colour as we were not sure on colour from first day. When we approached them to let them know about the change of mind in colour the car was not registered in our name. we offered them $500 more. As the car was not registered, I think the request was acceptable but the manager was non accomodating. Not only that he is very rude as well.
Now I will put...Read more
some maths about this situation. We were ready to pay him $500 on day one of request. We were ready to cancel the deal and pay the cancellation charge but it was 10% which came at $3000. We were ready to pay half of that which is $1500, either to cancel the deal or to pay them and get the colour we wanted. Cancelling the deal was not possible as it came at $3000 but if this manager had negotiated up from $500 to anywhere upto $1500 we would have paid them to get a different colour. So they could have made $1500 more profit from us and we would have been happpier. And they could have sold that car to anybody else. But this manager makes decision on personal prejudices and arrogance rather than business profitability. He was so adamant that he did not changed the color even though we requested him. So he made $1500 loss and made a customer unhappy. The manager should go to learn people skill. What an idiot.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

trying to purchase kia sportage/seltos? Salisbury Park S.A
We went to kia dealership closest to where we live interested in upgrading our car having recently been given a kia sportage as a rental while away and really loving driving it. We went to check the differences between both models as haven't driven the seltos. The dealer kept disappearing out the back saying he had to do something? We were approached by another salesman but the first one who never even gave us his name came out and stated he was tending us. Joke!! The second consultant left (I realise they are on commission and can't step on to...Read more
es) and the first one then started talking to a woman from the office and disappeared again. Totally frustrated we left. I actually work in retail myself and can honestly say this is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Normally salesmen jump on you the minute you enter the car yard which I do find annoying, but we were there at least 20 minutes and have had no information on the cars we are interested in. This was so disappointing as we genuinely wish to upgrade. Also, I would have understood if they were busy but we were the only 2 people there. It was only 5pm and they said they closed at 6.00pmSimilar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Question: has this to anyone else re Werribee Kia and will you also take action over your privacy being abused and/or harrassment? Re employee of Werribee Kia - why would they harrass people and then break privacy laws by going onto CarSales and entering the enquirer's name and number (and wrong email, because they don't have it!) onto a whole lot of random car listings so that the person gets a heap of SMS messages from various Audi dealers and sellers. Luckily for the person that it has happened to they have family involved in law and criminal justice system, so the staff member - who it will be able to be proven made these enquiries, such things can be traced - and who broke privacy law can be dealt with. Please see Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). My question is why would a car dealership employee go to these lengths, just because someone asked an SMS enquiry about the location of a car and when they found out it was too far to go to in Werribee they were constantly called, SMS, harrassed even after asking for the contact to cease, and then have their privacy broken to make malicious enquiries with their phone number? Would like to know if others have gone through this and would also make a report to first the dealership and if no action, then VicPol.

We have a Kia Sorento 2012 Model. We went over on our service by 14 months. We went and had our 60000km service and I mentioned a couple of things that weren't running too well. When I collected it from it's service the same thing was happening still. Next day the car had to be towed back to the dealership and now they are saying we need a whole new engine rebuild because we left it so long for a service the oil separated in the engine and it has clogged it up which is why it's not running right. Also not covered by warranty because we went over on our service. They may be coming to the party for the parts. But we are still looking anywhere between 3-6 grand repair. Car has been there almost a fortnight already. Anyone else ever heard of this sort of thing?

Thankfully this hasn't happened to me first hand but I have heard the warranties are very strict. A friend told me that her oil was sludgy and that she was told that voided the warranty as if you were getting regular services that wouldn't happen. Tricky situation, I hope it all works out for you!
Thanks for the reply. I'm just so afraid of being ripped off :)
Hi Anne ,Sorry to hear about your engine issue. The car warranty terms are very strict with the service history and that's the first thing they check when you have a major issue like yours. If your service history is not kept up to date they won't honor their warranty terms. You can try the wreckers to check if they have a replacement engine or you can get it rebuilt done from any other place. The dealers are lot more expensive in terms or parts and labour . You can get couple of quotes from different workshops to choose the right ones.
