New car DAMAGED
Spoke to 2 separate salesmen, both informed us that even though the car we wished to trade in had QLD registration it would still meet minimum trade-in requirements. As we were negotiating the price they were informed by their manager that this is incorrect, that's fair enough but both salesmen were unable to show us physically what the terms and conditions are for it.
Purchased a brand new car, upon picking up the car I inspected the vehicle even though the salesmen was keen to show me the features inside the vehicle I quickly noticed a den...Read more
t on the car along with scratches. They don't know how it got there and have assured us it will be repaired... Needless to say, not happy. Update: Dropped off the car, was told we'll get a full tank on return... almost a week later, picked up the car, half a tank of petrol.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Strange Service Response
My dealer - Joe Crisafio, Osborne Park - has been fine so far, but Kia the company has left a lot to be desired. I have a problem with the AV unit in my Cerato which the dealer has attempted to rectify but now wants to replace. Kia’s response - they want to see a video of the problem!! So now I have to sit at the ready with my phone to hopefully catch the problem as it happens (and it only happens occasionally). At least Joe Crisafio are hopefully trying. Kia couldn’t even be bothered answering my on-line, through their website, question about the issue. Looks like I will have to live with the issue or, at my expense, replace the unit with an after market one.

Camera and navsat stopped working the radio turns on and off intermittently
In our 2016 Kia Cerato 6 weeks ago the screen went blank and has not worked since. The radio randomly turns on by its self then as randomly turns off. This is proceeded by a busing some where in the steering column. This could be arcing in the electrical connections? I took it to the dealer they had it for a day and the result was replace the head (the whole unit ) and it would take three months to get a replacement. I rang Kia customer service and was told" that is just the way it is" and a further comment was the "car is drivable!" It is driv...Read more
able but it paid $4000 to have a reversing camera and navsat. I can use the iPhone as navigation but with a neck problem parking is very difficult. The dealer is good and we are happy with them but very disappointed in Kia. I fear to think what will happen if it developed a major fault in the later in the seven years warranty. Bad service from Kia. First and last purchase from them.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

No customer service from Kia
Now been 2 weeks since I asked for assistance with a problem with the USB interface with the radio and touch screen.
Have contacted Kia and dealer, Mount Barker Kia for assistance.
Kia have failed to answer any emails.
Dealer responded a week ago, with no answer in sight.
If it is a software issue as I was told by the service technician, I would have expected the service manager and Kia to be able to confirm immediately.
As I mentioned, now over 2 weeks.
Spoils what would have been a nice car.
Makes you wonder about the warranty.
Update
Two months later, still not resolved.

Car fine - Warranty program sucks
I have no issue with the KIA car itself. Looks good, drive well, etc.
Just be aware that this so called best warranty service is crap. Each time I've taken my car in for a service or to get something looked at I need to make multiple visits because they first want to look at it, then they need to order part because nothing is stored in Australia. Currently waiting for a new GPS unit. It been 4 weeks and unless you chase them nothing happens.
The stupid this is when I took my car to the centre to get the unit looked at they spent 10mins on i...Read more

nce again need to wait for it to be delivered before it can be replaced. Once again they can only order the replacement device after they take pictures of the faulty ones serial number. They don't seem to understand how bad the service is getting when they need to confirm the serial number of the replacement device that they themselves only replaced 6 - 9 weeks ago. I'm fed up and have now decided to sell the car.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Which of the two dealers in Canberra offer the better service for a 2017 Kia Sorento. Any bad results or lack of interest in customer issues would be helpful.

Question: has this to anyone else re Werribee Kia and will you also take action over your privacy being abused and/or harrassment? Re employee of Werribee Kia - why would they harrass people and then break privacy laws by going onto CarSales and entering the enquirer's name and number (and wrong email, because they don't have it!) onto a whole lot of random car listings so that the person gets a heap of SMS messages from various Audi dealers and sellers. Luckily for the person that it has happened to they have family involved in law and criminal justice system, so the staff member - who it will be able to be proven made these enquiries, such things can be traced - and who broke privacy law can be dealt with. Please see Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). My question is why would a car dealership employee go to these lengths, just because someone asked an SMS enquiry about the location of a car and when they found out it was too far to go to in Werribee they were constantly called, SMS, harrassed even after asking for the contact to cease, and then have their privacy broken to make malicious enquiries with their phone number? Would like to know if others have gone through this and would also make a report to first the dealership and if no action, then VicPol.

We have a Kia Sorento 2012 Model. We went over on our service by 14 months. We went and had our 60000km service and I mentioned a couple of things that weren't running too well. When I collected it from it's service the same thing was happening still. Next day the car had to be towed back to the dealership and now they are saying we need a whole new engine rebuild because we left it so long for a service the oil separated in the engine and it has clogged it up which is why it's not running right. Also not covered by warranty because we went over on our service. They may be coming to the party for the parts. But we are still looking anywhere between 3-6 grand repair. Car has been there almost a fortnight already. Anyone else ever heard of this sort of thing?

Thankfully this hasn't happened to me first hand but I have heard the warranties are very strict. A friend told me that her oil was sludgy and that she was told that voided the warranty as if you were getting regular services that wouldn't happen. Tricky situation, I hope it all works out for you!
Thanks for the reply. I'm just so afraid of being ripped off :)
Hi Anne ,Sorry to hear about your engine issue. The car warranty terms are very strict with the service history and that's the first thing they check when you have a major issue like yours. If your service history is not kept up to date they won't honor their warranty terms. You can try the wreckers to check if they have a replacement engine or you can get it rebuilt done from any other place. The dealers are lot more expensive in terms or parts and labour . You can get couple of quotes from different workshops to choose the right ones.

e by itself when the car was idle, for example waiting at the traffic lights. You guess it, found a faulty part but will have to wait till the part is ordered/received then book another appointment to fit the replacement part. Told by the service centre that its not dangerous because the handbrake only active by it self when the car is idle. I don't know anyone who would be happy to drive around in a car that the handbrake activities by itself randomly.
