I have owned a Kia Seltos Sports+ for just over 3 months and have found the overall driving refinement disappointing. The main issue is poor NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). There is minimal sound insulation and the factory tyres are not quiet touring tyres. On most drives, especially at highway speeds or on coarse chip roads, there is… Read more

noticeable tyre roar, road noise and wind noise entering the cabin.

On longer trips, the constant cabin noise becomes fatiguing, to the point where I often need to increase volume when listening to music or a podcast just to mask it. This has led to discomfort, including sore ears and headaches after extended driving.

The driving experience feels more budget-oriented than expected for the price point. In hindsight, I wish I had spent more time with a longer test drive or rental period before purchasing, as these factors only became clear during real-world use.

Based on my experience, I personally regret the purchase and am considering selling the vehicle.

Purchased about 6 weeks ago from Cricks Highway Springwood. Very happy with both the car and the dealership. Read many reviews before buying, a lot complaining about the beeping of the safety features. We are not finding this an issue at all, if… Read more

fact we like the fact that this car so actively alerts us if we go over the limit or if it detects another car in our blind spots. It drives very nice and comfortably carries 5 adults. Previous car was a Kia Sportage which was a great car as well.

Follow-up  · Finding out new stuff as we go. Latest find is we can open or lock it with the little buttons on the front door handles, no need to dig the key fob out of my pocket. Same with the boot which is great when you are carrying bags of shopping. I really like the touch screen dash. I am not a tech sort of person but I find it very intuitive and easy to use. Anything I can’t work out I just google and so far all the answers are online.

This car is an absolute delight to drive, BUT...... Driving the 2025 KIA Seltos is a Horrible Experience I regret buying it! While physically, the car is a delight to drive, the constant beeps, chimes and alerts utterly ruin the driving experience! You can’t listen to the radio, you can’t have a conversation with others in the car and worst of… Read more

all, you can’t concentrate on your driving or what’s going on around you!

Some of these “features” (annoyances) can been turned off. However, I found myself swearing at the car when I next started it and found they’ve all been turned back on!

It's like constantly telling Oscar Piastri that there's a curve up ahead!

Where’s the “Save my settings”? Where’s the “Silence Alerts”? Where’s the “I want control of my car” button?

KIA have completely ruined the driving experience with intrusive, unwanted sounds!

I’m now considering work arounds such as taping over the forward looking camera, shorting out the seat belt sensors, snipping the antenna and cutting the PCB tracks to the speakers (and buying a transistor radio).

KIA, what on earth were you thinking?

Please don’t be so base as to write back telling me I’m disabling all the safety features. KIA made this their fault when they gave me no choice in what I wanted to hear!

Summary - The system programming in this car was designed and implemented without the slightest consideration of the driver of the vehicle. The user interface is based on what KIA wants to say rather than what the driver wants to hear.

I look forward to a major software update designed from a users perspective rather than a perspective that constantly spews unwanted data at the driver.

Don't but a SELTOS KIA – The worst car ever. They have a beep that can't be turned off and it annoys you everytime you are 1 KLM over the speed limit. Beep. Bloody beep. Recommend DON'T BUT A SELTOS Show details

can't use a bike rack on a tow bar – Kia Australia is completely behind with the times. In other countries (US, NL, DE, UK. BE), you can have tow bars that are suitable for bike racks, even the Kiwi's have them. But not here. I asked the dealership before buying and they said it wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, it's too late now as I don't have it in writing. I wouldn't have… Read more

bought the car. And I don't understand, if the tow bar can't handle a bike rack, the tow bar won't be able to handle a normal tow as the bike rack is much lighter. A sub standard tow bar that will break. Unfortunately, customer services were not able to give enough detail what exactly the issue was.

Annoying – I suggest holding off buying this car until Kia get their act together and modify the Speed Alert Alarm. I was only permitted a very short test drive in this car before ordering it. Thoroughly test drive this car before you purchase it, paying particular attention to the speed alert alarm which is activated every time you go 1 klm/hr over the… Read more

limit. It also beeps going through a school zone at midnight or any other time of the day. When coming out of a car park with a 5 klm/hr limit, it will continue beeping until it sees the next speed sign which might be a few minutes later. It has to be de-activated every time you restart the car by a 5 stage process in the settings. It should be able to be de-activated on a semi permanent basis or by using the * button on the steering wheel as a direct on/off for this alarm. Kia say they are aware of the problem but refuse to say if and when it will be fixed. This the most annoying car I have ever owned. I anxiously await Kia's response.

Serious faults with the Safety Pack – There is a serious safety issue with the 'Safety Pack'. The Speed Limiter activates incorrectly and will disable the accelerator and autonomously slow the car to 30ks per hour in certain circumstances ie by pressing the res+ button the first time in a trip. This is dangerous. This option has been removed from the latest version and should be a recall on the 2021 model. Show details

Great Car – This is a comfortable, solidly built car. It handles well and is easy to park. I did have a problem with the dealer and kia head office were completely ineffectual in assisting me, they need to grow a pair. My only problem with the car is an ongoing glitch where it tells me there is a school zone ...e.g. on level 6 of a city carpark. They have been unable to fix this so far Show details

1st SUV. I Love it! – We have done approx 10K over 10 mths a. It has plenty of room with nearly 1400L volume with back seats down(took all our camp gear to the roof line and still had plenty of power going up the Blue Mountains) Fuel economy is also great( Lowest 5.5 & Ave is 7.5/100) . I was skeptical on the engine power being only 2L until i drove a friends . It… Read more

feels like same accelaration as my wifes SP25 Mazda which is a 2.5L. I love the adapative cruise especially in stop start traffic. Suspension could be a bit softer but has improved from initially driveThis is my 1st CVT and its suited to this 2L hence why its got great accelaration plus economy( I use Drive mode) . Overall i would highly recommend this car for couples or small families.
