Most unreliable car and unprofessional service delivery to resolve the problem!!
We bought a brand new Kia Sorento GT AWD top model in Feb 2021 with no discount offered.
This is second time, our car broke. First time, it did not start, called the roadside assistance and they told us that the headlights were left turned on, however, we always kept the settings on auto.
Second time, it broke on 23rd June. Just post doing the weekly groceries, I attempted to unlock the boot with no luck, apparently, warning on the screen indicated errors and instructions, which I followed at-least 25-30 times with no luck.
I had to call ...my husband in meetings to come and fix, my brother tried to figure out with nil success. Husband called Kia straightway and they advised roadside assistance will be there within 45 minutes, which came nearly after two hours; the guy could not diagnose the problem and advised that car needs to be towed away to the Service Centre. Husband had to cancel his meetings to come back just to ensure that they tow the car properly as we spent a lot on this one and did not want to take any risk. Tow truck came after few hours of wait and continuous calling as they never bothered to update. After car being towed away, they advised us they would diagnose the problem today and will get back to us and if they can’t, it won’t happen until 5th July due to their fully busy schedule. They still cannot figure out what is wrong, we are the one chasing for an update with no help in return. Our work commitments were getting compromised because of their unprofessional behaviors. Husband called them multiple times to request them for a rental car which they were never willing to offer. After many calls, they told us that they only have Kia Sportage available, take it or leave it. We spent $67000 to buy this 7- seater car to accommodate our family needs and this is what they rudely offer to us. We tried to negotiate with them and after several calls, they gave us Holden Captiva which is not a clear replacement for 70k price tag. Left with no option, husband had to take it to work for one day. Apparently, that car had a single USB which never worked. Seriously, we are paying big installments for Kia Sorento and this is what we have to drive. Are they going to pay the installments since the car is broken and with them.

Don't buy a KIA Sorento
Transmission faulty after 100k km ( 3 years ) only have FWD now not AWD.
Kia are hopeless when it comes to warranty claims.It's under warranty but they keep dragging it on. Dealer is ready to go with replacement transmission but need Kia to give go ahead . Waiting ...waiting.... Doubt I would ever buy another one if this is how they treat the customer.
Maybe a lemon
Good driving experience, easy to handle considering it’s a 7 seater. However I regret the purchase as it is a Kia and is spot on with the bad reputation. Not very reliable. The navigation sometimes doesn’t work, radio doesn’t turn on each time, randomly says out of petrol even after we fill it up.
The turbo has malfunctioned, no power when excelerating. Very dangerous to drive. This car left us stranded interstate. Out of pocket 2 k while it was being repaired. Kia dealer and Kia Australia know about it and do not want a bar of it. Do not purchase a Kia.
Windscreen crack for nor reason 2016 Sorento.
I loved my brand new car and was really happy with it until I walked out of work one day to find an unexplained crack 3/4 of the way across my windscreen. Kia's follow up has been really disappointing. Many phone calls from me with very little follow up or communication from them. They tell me they need more time to figure out how to calibrate the sensors in the screens...this models been out over a year! They only have one machine to calibrate it in QLD. The glass alone (which has to be genuine I'm told) is $1680, then l have to pay installat...ion and calibration. It seems to me these screens are cracking and breaking very very easily. They tell me it must have had a crack already. Three weeks of driving around with a car that wouldn't be roadworthy and could get me fined, with a huge huge crack, is just unacceptable support from Kia. very disappointing experience.

Good car but dealer service and follow up is ordinary
Good driving comfortable and the diesel is very economical. Seats are a little firm, I travelled to Adelaide from Melbourne on less than 3/4 tank really impressed. I would have liked better lights as I am used to spots but I don't want to put them on. Kia design needs to look at the Hyundai for the side steps the Hyundai blends in with a slight sweep whereas the Kia is a square shape and very truck like, hence i didn't get these fitted pity as my daughter would find it easier to get in.
The radio /sat nav needs replacing as it won't change and ...
