Terrible waste of money
I bought this phone for my mother following an accident. It constantly went dead, obviously faulty. The customer service person was unhelpful and rude. We spent roughly $500 for nothing
Purchased in January 2018.
Rude rude rude customer service operator
I called KISA today to enquire as to how I may order a new battery for my 93 year mother’s KISA phone. I spoke to Anna. I proceeded to explain the situation and she proceeded to talk over the top of me would not stop talking to listen to what I had to say to the point I had to ask her to stop talking over the top of me and had to tell her how rude she was. Begrudgingly she stop talking long enough to listen to my request and ordered the replacement battery as requested then proceeded to talk down to me. I have never in my life experienced such blatant rudeness from someone who is supposed to provide a service to their customers.
My mum has had nothing but trouble, customer service wasn’t great - they said they would speak to a supervisor and call back but never did. It’s small for elderly hands and kept dropping out all the time. It’s a shame because the concept is great! Waste of money for us!
horrible phone horrible too use not an easy phone like advertised the gps tracking doesnt work and my elderly father in law jsut cant use it. think of a product that is more suited to the market. myself a tech savvy person couldnt even help my father in law .
Bought this for my Dad who has Alzheimer's because it sounded like a great concept with simple functionality.
Not only is the GPS tracking uselessly inaccurate - when it even works, but here is a simple overview of our main pain points, having used this for the past two years:
- TERRIBLE connectivity
- Handset feels cheap and breakable
- Useless battery life
Whenever calls are made, the line either cuts out immediately, or halfway through. In the event of a miracle where the line doesn't actually die, the connection is so patchy and cu...ts out constantly to the point where you are unable to understand anything. While KISA will stipulate that this is a network issue and not hardware related, I've managed to have perfectly fine calls in the same locations using the exact same carrier sim card on multiple other phone models.
Great idea but customer services is appalling call go silent all the time. They aren’t cutting out just can’t be heard. Customer service keep telling me it our fault must be service. But no other mobiles in house have this problem. I am now looking at alternatives as this is useless.
Terrible - makes a senior even more isolated than they already are
My Dad doesn't get to the phone quickly enough to answer it.
There is no notification of who called him so he cannot return the call. So, he is losing all of his friends who give up after 4-6 unsucessful attempts.
Even if he could see who had contacted him, he cannot return the call because this is not an option on KISA - unbelievable.
As soon as I have bought him a new phone I will contact his friends to let them know so they can start ringing him again.

Great concept, misleading selling point re: battery life and disgusting customer service!
After researching numerous providers, we settled on Kisa, prominently because the standby battery life was claimed to last up to 5 days. The phone itself is a great concept and we were happy with the product upon arrival. However, we quickly realized that the battery (on standby) would only last less than 24hrs. The phone has been sent back to Kisa twice (at our expense) and on both occasions were were aggressively told there is nothing wrong with the phone. With the exception of the sales representative who called us to initially set up the ph...one, our other experiences with customer service has been appalling..... defensive, argumentative and highly inappropriate! I would not recommend this service to anyone and I strongly suggest that Kisa invest some resources into training their customer service team. I will be cancelling this contract today.
Multiple accidental calls from sitting in handbag, even with the case on, and terrible customer serv
I purchased the phone and $25 per month usage from Kisa over a year ago. My grandmother is 96 years old and has severe visual impairment and I wanted a phone that was easy to use for her. We bought the various paraphernalia along with the phone.
There have been multiple accidental dials when it is around her neck and when she carries it in her handbag, even with the case on. The dial buttons are both sides of the button and it's extremely easy to accidentally bump.
She exceeds the $25 usage frequently due to this even though she hardly us...es it and it's mainly for the family to call her on when she's at church or prayer meeting. I provided this feedback to KISA 8 months ago and suggested that a lock button be made available, and received a response of 'thanks for the feedback' only. I have now cancelled this account after a year and was served by a young rude customer service representative who talked over me and told me that a lock button would be too complicated for people with dementia, and that they can program a 'push twice' to dial feature. The lock feature as an option (as are available on all phones) would absolutely be useful for people without dementia and not be forced to use it. The issue is the easy accidental dials which are not preventable.

Consumer affairs have MANY complaints about them. Horrible and Deceitful company. Who charges for Se
I got the phone for my senior dad. There was no mention of NO Dialling - no mention of GPS monthly charge.
I asked to return the phone within 7 days of purchase. They were so RUDE to me about it. I asked if there is any penalty or costs to return. He was so vague. Wouldn't tell me of any costs.
When i returned it - i purchased it for $303 - they only refunded $199!!
Took $70 for restocking - which he REFUSED to tell me when i spoke to him on the phone
Postage and other items that don't even make sense.
$104 They took of a senior pensioner ...
Cant fix it - have to upgrade
I bought a KISA phone for my mum 18 months ago. We had to send it back for repair as it wouldn't turn on or charge up. No lights, no sounds, just completely dead.
KISA support tells us there is nothing wrong with the phone; its not working as it was only suitable to work on the now defunct 2G network! The fix - we now have to buy a replacement phone! How bad is that? Selling us a phone that would only work at best for a year and not telling us that when we bought it! And now the blatant lie that there's nothing wrong with the phone and its f...

Kisa phone is rubbish - save your money!!
I bought a KISA phone specifically for my elderly mother to use in respite care when I was in the British Isles for two weeks. I chose the highest plan ($45 for 10 hours/month which is a vodafone plan). Initial cost was approximately $200 including the first month's connection.
We tested the phone many times before I went overseas. It makes a ridiculous number of unnecessary beeps and buzzes and it's very easy to make accidental calls. They can change it so that two presses are required to make a call but seriously, are people with dementia g...
Good advice - don't buy it!
Information on website and reviews are misleading.
I bought one for my mother and it is not easy to dial at all.
I returned it and I'm not getting a full refund, I'm being charged a $45.00 restocking fee.
Kisa's attitude is simply arrogant.
My advice, don't buy it.

Can you move the what's app icon from the front screen and put the phone book there instead
I bought the KISA Flip 3 for my mother. Its full of apps she will never use. The phone book is on the 2nd screen. Why would the most frequently used 'app' NOT be on the first screen when you open the phone?
You cannot move the apps or uninstall them.
NOT very senior friendly nor SIMPLE
