Kmart Anko 2400W Bagless

Great vacuum for the price
I bought this a month ago. I have a 2 storey and it does a great job. The cord is probably standard vac length - could be longer -And it is a crap job to empty as you need to shake the filter as well as empty the barrel - but I was looking at a $700 bag less Vac and thought this was worth a try before paying out $$$ and I’m pretty rapt with it overall. Suction great and we have a dog that sheds !
Purchased in at Kmart Retail Stores for $99.

Not even worth the cheap price.
I have bitten the dust literally with this machine because on top of the other problems I have had with it, which I'll explain below, now even the HEPA filter won't stay in place. Reason I bought it was for the HEPA filter being an asthmatic and allergic to house dust.
Originally I thought a major loss of suction was the filters. After cleaning, drying, and replacing, still no suction. The seal around the black filter fell out and was too short. I bought replacement filters. Still no suction. Unscrewed the whole barrel assembly and fou...
Read morend that hair and other debris had gotten stuck around the very central cone of the unit causing the blockage of air. Worked great after clearing that and putting it all back together again, for all of about 20 minutes till the HEPA filter blew out. Have tried to stop the catch from opening with rubber wedges, but the filter itself is still dislodging and letting the fine dust into the air. I haven't even used it that much due to frustrations around the lack of function and waiting time looking for unnecessary replacement filters and their postage. Don't think I'll be buying appliances from Kmart again. I will post receipt details and date puchased when I find the receipt to return it.Purchased for $69.
good suction bad everything else!
I've owned for about 1 year. brush head useless, cord button never worked, and too short. Now it squeals so loud i can't use it.
I could go on with other issues too. in the bin it goes.
Purchased in for $90.
Questions & Answers
What is the valve at the top of the dust canister for? Can’t find any reference to it in the manual. When it opens the suction reduces & I need to turn it off to get it to close again.
