I love Kmart, but...
Kmart uses Couriers Please who are horrendous at best for deliveries (even though they've used TNT in the past who are awesome) - so there is one negative and it's a big one considering they sell products that are heavy.
Sometimes the quality of their items are good, we have lamps, side tables and a coffee table from them, had them for over a year now and they're still good!
So, I purchased a Christmas Tree (the $10 6ft one and before anyone says anything... Yes I know you get what you pay for). It came today, with other things I had ordered (l...
Disappointing experience every time
I have placed 3 separate orders with Kmart on 3 different occasions and everytime i have received an email days later stating some of the items are no longer available. On one of the occasions i then went back onto kmart online and the product was indeed still listed as in stock. I tried to query this with kmart customer service but got no useful answer. I have no option to shop in store, our nearest kmart is 2.5 hours away, and to order the items again would mean even more postage costs. It's 2019, online ordering should be an easier process than this. Don't offer online shopping to customers if you aren't prepared to provide an adequate service!
I recently purchased the Hollywood mirror online. Purchased & paid for no dramas.
A happy 12 year old for Xmas.
I since have received an email stating Kmart cannot fulfill the order.
Are they kidding!!! How can something be available to purchase online to be then told its
K-MART you are PATHETIC!!!
Kmart does not want you to order online I feel, too lazy !!!
I had ordered almost $300+ online stuff, plus $30 for delivery. I did a goof up on my address (within my postcode) and realised it until later. Similiar thing happened with my husband for another retailer but retailer's courier service gave us a call and they together figured out a way. At least kmart courier service should have contacted me during delivery, it's 2019 and we have mobile numbers. Couriers immediately call you if there is a problem in delivery, but nothing here. No number was provided to me also. A little extra and important step may not have guaranteed to solve my mistake but might have worked out something. Really I think online shopping does not matter to kmart it already has so huge sales. Very laid back service.
Another lol in the land of Kmart lols
I recently bought a pair of boxing gloves from Plenty Valley Kmart. I checked the size but not actually inside the plastic packaging. I bought them and gave them to my 7 year old nephew. Stupid thing was they were two left handed gloves. Even worse, they were different brands. Everyone said take them back. Nah, its all part of the Kmart experience.
Click + Collect a waste of time
I have a toddler and am pregnant with twins so decided to give Kmart Click + Collect a try to make life easier. I purchased several items for kitchen storage and received a text to say my order was ready for collection that afternoon (great). I went to Kmart Kardinya at 7.30pm on a Thursday and found the Service desk under-staffed, with one staff member asking for assistance from other Kmart staff numerous times while I waited (poor lady!). I had to wait 10 minutes to be served and when I received my order there were 2 missing items. I had alre...ady elected to have these delivered to my house within 7 days (free of charge) instead of a refund. When I was leaving the shop I saw an abundance of the "missing product" from my order on the shelf! I decided not to purchase them in-store considering I had elected them to be delivered instead of a refund and to save doubling up on the product if I couldn't cancel the free delivery. I called customer care hotline to ask why the readily available items were not included in my order and was told my products were in Waneroo (about 40mins drive away). I could wait for them to be delivered, drive to Waneroo to collect them or cancel and get a refund. I opted for the refund. Now instead of one easy Click + Collect transaction, I have to wait for my refund, and visit the store twice. What a hassle! For a huge corporation I would expect you'd have these systems streamlined.
I had purchased an "Industrial 4 tier bookshelf" from Kmart online. On looking at the product it looked perfect for what I wanted to use it for. Purchased and had the bookshelf delivered. Received the product delivered promptly by Kmart, how ever after an hour or so of getting the bookshelf together I found that the holes were not drilled in the correct places to screw the inside retailing sleeves into the turing of the bookshelf. After contacting Kmart online I decided to return to the nearest store and take another home with me, which I did. ...I found the second bookshelf was also poorly manufactured, due to holes being drilled on the wrong side of the tubing to screw the cross brace onto the back. Not a complaint about Kmart customer service I received a refund, however I had spent 2 days messing around with the same product and received two faulty items. My suggestion to Kmart is to monitor your suppliers for quality of products. I think to get 2 faulty products one from in store and one from online, leaves some unanswered questions about your suppliers. Unfortunately you have lost me as a customer.
Great concept but collecting was a real hassle
I found the online click and collect process easy to use and quickly had a response with the barcode to use when collecting my parcel. I went to the local Kmart thinking how convenient this was until I had to line up in the lay buy queue to collect my parcel. At this time of year the line was very long even though it was a Wednesday morning. I wrongly assumed there would a dedicated area or sales register for click and collect. It would have been much easier to purchase the products in store and take them to the regular check out. I stood for at least 15 minutes possibly more before being served. I wont use Kmart click and collect again.
Good idea to shop online to save time
I recently started using online ordered. It was easy and simple to do. And most of all save time from going in store. Orders was delivered on time and in good quality.
The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
When I placed my online order, all my items were "in stock" in the store. Then a few days later I then received an email saying that one of my items was being refunded because it was no longer in stock.
I get that someone might come in an buy that item in the meantime, but why is online ordering store specific?
Why can't KMART access another store for the item and deliver it? If you don't want incur additional shipping costs from sending items from another store, the least you could do would be to transfer between stores to complete the or...der. You're happy to pass the high shipping costs onto your customers, but you won't incur the cost for inter-store transfers? I am sure i'm not alone in saying, I don't give a rats which store my items come from. We place the order with you, it's your job to source the product and send it to us.
Surely bedding bought online requires more than its own transparent 'bag' for posting?
My order was placed in Hobart and sourced from K Mart New Town according to the delivery label. I sincerely appreciate saving on packaging wherever possible, but today I did not appreciate receiving a Single Bed Supreme Comfort Quilt, unwrapped, with just a delivery label stuck to the front of the quilt's transparent bag and the zip half opened. The quilt was covered in dust and goodness knows what else - how can you charge $14 to travel 2kms (the whole of Tasmania is regarded as Regional by K Mart, even when it is sourced from next door) and...not include some sort of protection/simple packaging? I am housebound at the moment, so online shopping is a godsend for me, but after previously sending me someone else's order and never sending me either my correct order or a refund, this is the last time I will ever purchase from K Mart.
Too long for delivery
Unfortunately the toys we ordered has still not arrived and it’s been 7 days. What is the even more disappointing is that: they send you a message saying your delivery is coming today and then few hour later, You get another one saying your delivery may not be arrive today. According to Kmart, delivery should take 3-5 days.
Click and collect so good
Ive recently used the click and collect for buying from Kmart online its great as it saves taking my 3 little children around the store with me, means I don’t get sidetracked and buy more than I intended and bonus it’s free if you spend $30 or more
Definitely a great way for young families to get some shopping done
The only annoying thing is sometimes the order is not fulfilled entirely and you get refunded for the product in that case or they can sometimes send it for free if it’s found at another store ... but otherwise this way of shopping is fantastic !

John Hines world war 1
Sounds like you need to post in a HISTORY site rather than this Product Review site. Anyway hope the following helps.
John "Barney" Hines (1878-1958) was a British-born Australian soldier of World War I, known for looting from German soldiers. Also undisciplined when not in combat and frequently punished.
