No customer service
Customer service is uncontactable when placing online orders. They do not answer email requests for information and they are not contactable via phone. Very disappointing service from KMart, especially in these times when you cannot go to a store to make a purchase.
Buggy. You want to delete more than one item from your cart? Nope. Spinning wheel of death. Only solved by collapsing the tab and opening a new one. Back on the site and no cart icon is showing. You have to click on anything else on the webpage and when that loads the cart icon comes back. I do this over and over again until I give up and not buy anything. Dont get me started on how even though an item says its available when you are browsing and add to cart, when you get to your cart, only then it says item out of stock. Insufferable. It's been like this for the longest time.
Books arrived damaged, slow delivery and products become unavailable after the purchase
After paying for my order online, I received an email saying that some products were not available, which was contradictory to what the website said. The delivery took two weeks as opposed to "5 day metro delivery". One of the board books I purchased arrived with a big cut on the cover.
Used to love Kmart. Now $(&+!!
Truly. I used to love shopping online at Kmart. I always thought postage was reasonable until the other day when I went to purchase a video peephole, queen size bed frame, and a 2 seat sofa. Obviously the latter two require assembly. Yet totalling around $240, shipping was going to be around the $420 mark! Really. No one in their right mind would pay that. I live along the coast south of rockhampton. Postage of any item has never been this. Not even ordering a 3 seat sofa on eBay was leas than a quarter of this. Bloody ridiculous Kmart. Where i...s your head at. You offer these fantastic low priced furniture and homewares ay awesome prices yet no click and collect being online only, and absolutely ridiculous postage charges. Love to hear an explanation on this one! Because after that I'm thinking of shopping elsewhere. Kind of feels like a scam to me. Cheap furniture but profits made from postage. Tisk tisk. :(
Fairly poor online service
Online delivery is slowwwwww. It says in the email they send you regarding your order they’ll send you tracking details within 24 hours. Within. Hahaha. More like 4 days or so. Cos that’s when the order will be shipped from wherever in the country it decides to send one of the many parts each order you make is made up of. Also frequently things are unavailable online. Like maybe 10-15%, which doesn’t sound like much but that is actually quite high. Cos you can’t pick for example 5-6 things without at least one of them being unavailable. It’s ju...st poor management. It’s a shame cos in general, apart from this I love kmart. Good quality at a great price and they’re always my first stop/go to for the stuff I need. I guess that’s the sacrifice for the low prices

Fees are a bit greedy
Brought 2x bed frames at same time for $32 each and the delivery fee was $20 FOR EACH BOX even though they were brought at same time and del at same time.
Disappointed in quality
Purchased the Round Fringed rug- pink, and while it looks great and it very soft, almost immediately after purchasing it started to fall apart, just walking across it leaves small pieces spread everywhere making it almost impossible to vacuum without clogging the head of my vacuum, in the attached photo it hows how much has come off just from running my hand across it
I love Kmart. Good Store BUT.....
Kmart depends on 3rd rate cowboy courier companies that let them down badly. Delivery is the main issue. Often you will have to pick up the parcels at a POPPoint. Unfortunately, trying to explain that to Kmart is impossible. Their indifference to customers's complaints in this regard is of concern. I hope Kmart will giive me a choice on who I can use for dellivery but I cannot even if I am prepared to pay more for the postage. Hence, I can no longer order items from Kmart for no fault of their own. SORRY.
Extremely disappointed with online
I am extremely disappointed with kmart online. Every time I have attempted to make an order, 98% of the stock is sold out online. Instead of falsely advertising it online why not state that it is sold out and not wait until checkout. I live in regional SA and our Kmart is limited as to what it stocks and most of the time it does not receive a lot of lines or sells out very quickly so online is the only way. Instead, I had to get the things I needed from Big W, Kmart really needs to lift their game in the age of online shopping.
Weighted skipping rope
I bought the weighted skipping rope and followed the directions on the back of the back age to shorten the rope and it’s absolutely rubbish you can’t get the rope to stay in the handles once cut to size
Dodgy online ordering system and worked it out. Obv don’t listen or read reviews and one day a competitor will overtake.
Ok, so I have worked out part of the confusing online ordering issue where an item shows in stock but when you add more items then the original items are suddenly out of stock.
So it is appears it is because they want you to either pay another delivery fee or it is because of the really poor approach to source from individual stores (don’t have all the stock in your basket) and no central delivery function as mentioned in reviews before mine.
To try and assist confused people, try and delete additional items or delete original item and then...order the rest and then start a new order with that item again. It will show in stock again if it is the first item added to cart and done before a stock system update. This is very poor from a delivery chain perspective as they are losing money with this issue. I am very surprised that Management have not not identified this. They either know and don’t care or do not have efficient management analysis or supply chain Managers. Also if you run out of stock so quickly - find a way to manufacture in Australia. I am sure remote areas including areas with very high unemployment rates have the ability to provide relatively low cost manufacturing rather than the current country used which manufacture with sub-standard materials, performance, extra shipping cost/issues and a lack of the ability to supply what is in demand. Advisable to do this change to support Australia in these times and sell more stock rather than have these really elementary stock issues.

Will not resend product when damaged
Bought some mini bowls from Kmart online store. When they arrived some of them were damaged. I can't use them anymore. Sent kmart the damaged photos and ask them to send some new ones. Kmart told me they don't do resend.
I will think twice before ordering easily damaged products from now on. Don't trust their packaging team.
Cannot track their own products
13 out of my 15 items ordered were sent around NSW then back to KMart Nowra (Auspost tracking is very good). Spoke to a lovely person at Auspost who even verified this with an email. KMart just kept telling me it had been delivered to my home (Hornsby NSW). I just kept phoning them until I spoke to someone who actually looked up the tracking - saw I was telling the truth and organised a refund. Now there is a box sitting in the Nowra depot, lost and lonely :(
Almost everything Out Of Stock
When something is actually available their service is great which is why I gave them 2 stars, delivery is affordable and arrives within a few days. Awesome!! HOWEVER soooooo often you add something to your bag and when you go to checkout, everything has an X beside it saying 'product out of stock online' - this has happened sooooo often for me. I wish they'd fix their website so it's updated more regularly, so that if something isn't available online it just won't show in search results or clearly states 'product out of stock'. Sometimes the pr...oduct will clearly state 'out of stock online' but there's been so many times now that I've spent an hour painstakingly filling my cart for a birthday shop or whatever, then go to checkout and most or EVERYTHING is 'out of stock online', it's sooooo frustrating!!! I wouldn't normally go out of my way to actually write a review, but I figure if more people are vocal about this Kmart might actually try to fix this issue, it's not like they don't have the money to fix it!!!
Stop Advertising Stock that's not available!
We all understand the affects of the covid pandemic but why advertise products over Christmas if nothing is available? So frustrating when you go to purchase a product online and you constantly get "Not available for click & collect, Not available online. Sorry I love to shop with Kmart but this is ridiculous.
