Kmart Single Self Inflating Mattress
I bought this when looking for a cheap replacement for my camping mattress, and didn't have time to wait for shipping with online shopping. It is one of the cheapest you can buy directly off the shelves, but there are a few trade offs.
1) The original packaging is big. It comes in it's own bag which is roughly 23cm diameter x 35cm length. However, if you roll it up carefully, it will fit in Kmart's 5 litre dry bag, which takes it down to about 17cm diameter x 33cm length. This isn't a tiny size by any means, but makes a real difference in pa...cking. 2) The pillow section is not self inflating, and the main section needs 4 or 5 breaths to fully inflate. 3) It's not the lightest on the market. In the 5L dry bag, it is approx. 1265g. Despite this, it is comfortable to sleep on, and the price versus the size and weight make it a decent entry level product, or something to have in the back of the car for emergencies.
