Kogan dissappoints once again.
I purchased two Ovela 400TC Cotton Rich Luxury Quilt Cover Sets (King, White) in March this year, and when they arrived I washed them and put the first one on the bed. Straight away I could see that the quilt cover was far too big for my KS quilt. They are so badly made, and the zip has been put in the wrong way, with no puller on it, and breaks every time I try to do it up. The second one was the same. I sent an email to Kogan, and guess what they wanted a photo on the product. What happened to the old fashioned, take my word for it, there is...a problem with the product. I told them I wasn't going to send a photo, and the covers were going in the bin. They sent me two more, and guess what, they were exactly the same with the same zip problem. They are sitting in my linen press, maybe going to the op shop. Everything I have purchased from Kogan has had a problem, and to get it fixed is a nightmare, it's just the big run-around. Do not purchase these quilt covers, you WILL be disappointed.
I was interested to find that Kogan sells bedding and found what I thought were good quality sheets. I should have realised that the $35 price tag plus $9 delivery would not guarantee the greatest quality. However I was willing to try them once. Judging by the reviews of these sheets on Kogan everyone was very happy with their purchase.
The sheets arrived in timely fashion and immediately I noticed how light the package was. I've been using 300 thread count sheets which are quite thick and heavy so the lightness of the package did not bo...de well. Upon opening the packaging I found the sheets were extremely thin, more thin than 180 thread count. More like cheap microfibre than supposed 600 thread count. The sheets survived the wash and are now on the bed. They are almost see through, so I'm seriously doubting that they are the expected quality. I contacted Kogan, who wanted a photo of the sheets. I told them a photo would prove nothing. As at yesterday my complaint was "escalated" to a Senior Team Member. I seriously doubt that they can do anything via email and no doubt the cost of sending them back to Kogan would be prohibitive. So I'll probably just chalk it up to a bad choice on my part and be wary of purchasing any article from Kogan or anywhere else for that matter than sounds too good to be true. Edit 27th May 2017. After washing the sheets four times now they are starting to pill quite badly especially at the bottom. Rotating them is resulting in pilling top and bottom. I am really not terribly surprised as I did not think they were good quality 600 thread count sheets to start with.
