Purchased in February 2019.
Had high hopes for our new TV, it has quite a lag with the remote and can be very glitchy when trying to connect to our wifi and when turn the unit off it looses sound and then takes up to 30sec to actually turn off. A bit disappointed to be totally honest unfortunately.

My tv turns on when ever it feels like it WTH
My tv has a few issues and I want my money back.
It turns on all hours of the day, not good in the middle of the night and Netflix has an error -13 that prevents it from connecting.
My tv turned on at midnight last night and was on when I just got home from work, it will be warn out by being on all day.

Purchased this TV from Kogan when our other one packed it in. Very happy with the extra features, etc.
Clarity & quality of picture very good, brings things to life. It took us a few days to work out the controls as it is very different to what we had before & we are not gadget people. Overall, very happy with this.

Very dissappointing purchase
I have had this smart tv for two days. Initially it seemed like the perfect TV. However, I tried every possible setting to get colour right but no go. Either washed out or overblown. Seems to have a limited colour range.
Luckily I had a Netflix dongle as it isn't compatible without it.
After paying for delivery and will have to pay for return (an extra $100 above price), hope I get a refund without the runaround Kogan is known for.
It's bad enough that the sert turns off for 7 minutes every four hours ( approx) but our set...less then six months old, has been turning off at increasingly shorter intervals...now every 5-10 minutes....making it impossible to watch anything. That is probably fixable EXCEPT that there are no tech support phone numbers, no way to get anyone to fix it, and stupid "form responses" from customer service. Kogan should be ashamed. They have lost me entirely.

Really not bad for the money
I have the same issues as mentioned in other reviews - the tv will turn itself on through the night. I now just turn it off at the powerpoint when not in use.
It often needs turning off and on again to realise it IS in fact connected to the internet, but aside from this I am really happy as someone who REALLY doesn't like to spend money. I got a tv that has a few glitches, but lots of functionality. Love the recent update meant that a lot more free to air apps could be downloaded too.
Sound and picture are good - have even had people comment on the quality!
I purchased extra warranty thinking that a cheap tv I'd need it, but thus far really suits all my needs!

Decent TV but no HDMI ARC
Easy to setup and use with a nice screen but there is no HDMI ARC setting in the menus so even though my Kogan soundbar is plugged in correctly and set to receive HDMI I get no sound. I think the setting might be in the service menu so does anyone know the code? Kogan help desk just churn out robotic responses with no actual help.

Rubbish tv with the worst after sales I've ever experienced. Don't buy a Kogan TV!!
When we got the Tv it took quite a long time to set up. I was disappointed that the only way you could watch Netflix was to use screen mirroring, it doesn't even work using the built in chromecast. There is an app for it but it doesn't work.
I added all of the apps I wanted, etc and when I was finally finished I tried to watch ABC iview, it didn't work. I tried Stan, it didn't work. I could Chromecast them but I bought a smart tv so that I wouldn't have to do that. I emailed customer service, it took a week for my first response, everytime I em...

Many issues since latest firmware update - basically don't buy this - not worth the hassle and now broken features
This TV sort of works if you know what you're doing - if you are not tech literate, do not buy it. Actually having now finished writing the below summary of this TV, don't buy it at all. It's EOL anyway.
So many issues
- recording to USB doesn't work if HBBTV is turned ON (under Menu, Setup, HBBTV)
- the channels input frequently defaults to ATV (analog TV which no longer exists in australia) and shows "No Signal". you can easily fix this by pressing the SOURCE button on the remote and changing back to DTV
Kogan obviously did not test the lat...est Android TV version before pushing it in an over-the-air update. The latest firmware (as of 04/04/2019) breaks the following things, making the TV significantly less useful: - Standby - the TV is fully switched off when you push the power button on the stock remote, meaning it takes around 30 seconds to turn back on every time.

Kogan LED light bleeding into screen. No service response
I have had a Kogan 50" Led for awhile and paid for extended warranty. For sometime I have been having light bleed occurring at the bottom of the screen, it is at a level that is quite bright and very distracting to the picture. I logged a service request back on Feb 17 2019 and have been ignored on a number of emails in an attempt to get some to process this request. A few months back I had a fault with the remote and the response was instant with a replacement remote sent, but with what would seem to be a fault that Kogan appears to want to ig...nore they have given zero contact. I know with brand name LED this fault is not tolletated or fobbed off as an allowable percent. Let's face it should they do this their market share would fall dramatically. Unfortunately at this point, with no help or response I am thinking are these cheaper units to be considered low priced short term purchases to be thrown away when major issues arise. Very disappointed with Kogan support, I previously have highly recommended their LED TV as one to buy. I hope those recommendations don't come back to bite me. Perhaps the old saying you get what you pay for rings true here. It would be nice if Kogan were to at least acknowledge me other than the automated response sent at initial email request.

Kogan TV - terrible after sales service and poor product.
We purchased a 58" 4K LED Smarter TV from Kogan in late November fro my sons birthday. We purchased this TV as it had a google inbuilt chrome cast and thought it would be a good TV for my son who wanted to use the chrome cast feature. From the start the chrome cast only partially worked where we cold turn it on via voice command but it wouldn't respond to other commands such as change the channel. In addition to this the TV would turn itself on at random and as it was in my sons bedroom it would wake him up in the night.
We initially contacte...d Kogan on the 16th December advising of the issue after persevering for a few weeks. The initial response was online emails (not live chat) as Kogan don't have a call centre and you are unable to talk to anyone. I have never come across a company of any sort let alone one the size of Kogan where you cant talk to someone about their faulty product. Through continued emails with us downloading software etc to update (the product was one month old would have thought it would have had any updates prior to shipping to us) the issues couldn't be resolved and Kogan finally sent someone out to pick up the TV. Kogan dont send a technician out like other companies they actually take the TV away and dont leave a replacement. I also haven't experienced this before. I have had a Samsung TV previously that had an issue and they sent a technician out to fix it - fixed on the spot. Samsung good service - Kogan no service. The TV has now been gone for for over 3 weeks with them having collected it,. I was meant to have a response with 14 working days (they must have been remaking it). Still no TV and still no contact from Kogan. As I cant actually speak to anyone at Kogan perhaps they will listen to Consumer affairs. First time I brought a TV online and first time i have purchased anything of value from Kogan. This will be the last time I buy anything form Kogan. There is still something to be said about buying at a shop from the big retailers. I've never had any issues with purchases form the Good Guys and Harvey Norman. If you do purchase from Kogan and something goes wrong - good luck - buyer beware
Great smart TV
This is a great smart TV with in built Netflix as an optional extra making the whole unit totally enjoyable to use. I am very satisfied with this product's features as well as its controls and overall performance levels. This unit also has wireless connectivity and more than enough HDMI ports plus great for PS4 games. An excellent TV
Definitely NOT Smarter
QUESTION: What do you call a 4K LED Smart TV which isn't compatible with the Netflix app?
ANSWER: You call it a Kogan 4K LED SmarterTV XU9010.
Hard to believe folks but the only way to watch/stream Netflix on this TV is via another device like Apple TV, Fetch TV or Chromecast.

After 4 months the tv decided it didn't want to stay turned on. Numerous emails from Kogan UNHELP CENTRE!! Most of them robotic responses. 5 days have passed since my last reply. None of the troubleshooting helps. Wish I had read reviews on this company prior to purchasing from them. This company must hold the record for the most appalling service in Australia. I have been forced to lodge a complaint with Consumer Protection.
I specifically bought this TV to access Netflix & Freeview Plus catch up TV. The only stations Freeview comes up on are ABC &SBS. I have been able to download apps for 7 and 10 but cannot access 9. I've contacted Kogan but all they say is it is available in the top left corner. BUT it isn't on 7, 9 and 10.
It probably relates to the area where I live but it would have been helpful if they had added a "not available in all areas" when I purchased.

Absolute rubbish, Kogan won’t replace. Have to do auto tune to channels every time you turn on and off. Have to re input passwords etc for Netflix and anything else every time you turn on and off. Turns itself on and off. Remote control you have to press really hard.
