Not as good as i thought
The cooling and dehumidifying on this works rather well but the heating not so much. I run at a very low body temperature and never owned an aircon before. I can see why the person sold it as their place is bigger than mine. My place is small but no way to close off the long hallway to the bedroom so i can get better heat. A metre from the aircon its cold as outside so i have to sit right next to it or put a blanket on myself on the couch
Six years and still going
I bought the Kogan 10,000 BTU unit in 2014.
I found it satisfactory and originally gave it 3 stars, but because it's still going six years later I have now given it 4 stars.
I gave it 3 stars because I was probably expecting more cooling but it was my first ever AC purchase. After six years there is a slight rattle coming from the engine but it's a minor issue and to be expected after six years!
This AC probably doesn't work effectively for medium sized rooms that get very warm - especially in the summertime. However, it is still useful en...ough to sit/ sleep in front of; the jet of cool air is sharp and goes right across the room. This device does cool down small rooms effectively. It's quieter than I expected and it's easy to set up and lightweight. There have been no issues with any aspect of its operation except for the slight rattle after six years of moderate to heavy use.
