People clearly dont know what they are doing! This is GREAT!
Its one of the very few TV's with built in apps of ANY kind for a couple of hundred dollars. If you are in a van and sick of trying to get screen cast to work without an internet connection then THIS is your answer! Netflix and Youtube are great. Wifi connection - no issues - connects to my phone hotspot easy as. But here is the thing - built in screen cast. Yes, for sure suits Android - thats OK with me. So, you can cast ANY apps to this TV without having use a Chromecast. Also, Chromecast if you want to add one - EASY - for petes sakes - it h...as 2 USB ports and Chromecast runs fine from those on 12 volt. The ONLY thing weird about this excellent for a caravan TV is the built in hard wired power cord - I mean WHY???? If you are looking for a simple 12 volt solution to watch Netflix, You Tube and Screen Cast - get this today! :)

Happy with our tele
We bought this TV for our caravan. It works fine for that purpose. Does not have inbuilt Chromecast so I bought a Chromecast device for remote locations with no TV, we are then able to stream the various TV channels like 9now, SBS, ABC Iview etc. The inbuilt streaming like Netflix, Prime etc work well. All in all we are pretty happy as we did not want to spend more than the $199 it cost us.
The WI-FI is woeful
The TV itself seems to work fine. The picture is pretty good for a cheap TV.
The problem is the WI-FI. It takes several attempts to connect then loses the connection every time you turn it off. Then when you want to use it you go through the same process of numerous connection attempts (no network issues with our other devices).
A firmware update from the Kogan website failed to fix the issue. It caused it to go into a testing mode, which I eventually got it out of, then the WI-FI issue was back & possibly even worse.
Footnote: The TV was sent back & found to be faulty. A full refund was received from Kogan.

Know better, choose better.
The “smart” features are very limited.
TV is very limited in its smart capabilities. I was hoping to use this TV without an aerial connection as we have poor reception. You can not access and Free-to-air catch up (ABC iView, 7Plus etc) services without being connected to an aerial. Even then there is no live streaming over the internet. The apps are very limited, can’t get basic apps such as Spotify, Disney+ etc.
Ended up buying a chrome cast to make up for the short comings of this tv.

Not a smart TV, very dumb
Advertising shows features that are not available, can not download common apps such as 7plus, iview, 9Now. Uses unix rather than android OS so very limited capability. TV screen is quite good so as a dumb TV is okay. Kogan support is all by email and not helpful, be prepared for long wait.
