Stay on hard floors
Despite the Kogan website showing photos of the seamless transition from hard floor to carpet, unfortunately this unit did not get that message. Whilst on hard floors, the unit does a reasonable job...the real test was it's journey onto rugs where it failed, leaving dust residue from its brushes on the rugs. It meant grabbing a real vacuum cleaner to redo the rugs to rid the residue from this unit. If you have only hard floors go for it, if not give it a miss.

A great mid-range robot vacuum.
The vacuum works as advertised on the Kogan website. Setup is a little touchy as with all devices using the same backend system, however, once setup was complete, using the G30 is very easy.
For its price (I paid a sale price of $250), I have no complaints, as I wasn't expecting a device that will completely replace the vacuuming process in my household, however, perplexingly, even though the vacuum does create a map of the rooms it's working in, it does not in fact, store said map.
This is a strange feature, as the device knows where it is w...
Read moreithin it's created map and can easily use this information to navigate in each run, however, it makes no sense as to why it wouldn't store its created map in order to speed up the cleaning process, and not follow the same path/areas, each run. The device seems to struggle sometimes when it believes that it can get behind a specific piece of furniture to clean, and will consistently test whether aspects of a room have changed, this leads to it usually only cleaning one or two rooms in my home on it's own, with supervision required to get it to clean other rooms in the house, and stay in said rooms. Overall, I think the value is there for the price I paid, however, if I had known the way that it acts, I may have instead, opted to instead pay a little extra money for a slightly better robot vacuum.Purchased in May 2020 at Kogan.com for $250.
