i have the kymco city 50i what a load of crap deer kymco when you you change a 16inch wheel to a 14inch wheel and don't change the gears in gear box the bike revs its nuts off at lower speed causing rev limiter to kick in early and not allowing the bike to hit safe speeds to ride on roads

Best 49cc Scooter
This would be the best 49cc, 4 stroke scooter on the market. Reliable, fuel efficient and zippy with the small engine. Top speed approx 55-60km/h. If you want to go faster, purchase the 125cc which will do about 100km/h. Good build quality and cheap running costs.

Great with small mods, can reach 80km/h
aftermarket exhaust
Variator kit
Can reach 83km/h no worries and always takes off first in traffic
Has had one stack and got up and rode away no worries at all
The 50cc has the same body set up as the 125 and 250c and also same final drive so handles great and climbs steep hills with ease
Would highly recommend if find one at a good price
Purchased in at Privately for $850.

After Sales Service is Useless.....!!
I have bought a brand new Super 8 50 2T scooter in Feb 2020 from Bundaberg 4670. Its been more than a month and I am still waiting to receive my spare part to come and get my scooter fixed up. I am very frustrated and will not recommend anyone to buy Kymco products. If the dealers can not provide after sales service they should not be allowed to sell kymco brand anymore in Australia...
Purchased in at Northern Motorcycle Centre for $3,000.

Kymco Super 8 50T. Keep looking if you want to keep up with traffic
What a POS this thing is. I bought it, and asked the dealer to rework the clutch because it wouldn't get out of its own way. He did his best, but it still has a HORRIBLE hesitation off the line. IT takes several seconds for it to move when at stop lights. I would never buy another Kymco product again. I know this is only 49ccs, and I didn't expect it break any land speed records, but even my little Honda Metropolitin puts this thing to shame.
Great scooter but need a good service place
Purchased my scooter in mid 2012 , good price , great to ride and economical .
no speed machine but very good for getting me to and from work.
$5 to $7 per week in fuel .

Top notch quality from Kymco
I have owned this scooter for 12 months now and can honestly report that I have had no problems whatsoever with it. The model I own is the Super 8 50 2T ( 50cc two stroke) and although it is not overly powerful I find the scooter is fine around town. I live in a fairly flat city (Rockhampton) without too many steep hills and I'm 6'2'' tall and weigh 95kg's and it carries my weight with no problem at all. Don't expect spirited performance from this model however, because you'll be disappointed if you do. Kymco markets it as a sports scooter, whi...
Read morech it is in styling only, and my opinion is that it does look great. Comfortable to ride and is fully automatic, and in my state (QLD) you can ride it on a car license. There are many things I like about the Super 8 50 2T. There is ample storage space under the seat and the pillion has the capacity to attach a carry case and there is a handy shopping hook under the dashboard where you can carry a number a supermarket shopping bags. The scooter is economical and takes only 5 litres of petrol to fill and this will last about 130 km's no matter how you ride it. You don't have to worry about oil changes either, just make sure you keep an eye on the two stroke reservoir and keep it topped up. The oil is pumped directly into engine from a seperate tank so you don't have to mix the oil with the petrol. The engine itself is a 49.5cc single cylinder and produces about 3 kw's. Most people de-restrict their scooters (check laws in your state). The purpose of this is to make the scooter have a faster top end. Expect performance to be somewhere in the region of 60-70 km/h. The dashboard features an 80 km/h speedo, fuel gauge, oil warning light, turn signals and odometer. Handling is better than average with the 14'' wheels and has disc brakes at the front and drum at the rear. Actually the brakes are quite good. Twin headlights are featured but night time driving a bit daunting in dark areas so be careful. The suspension can be adjusted to suit the rider as well. Servicing is a breeze. I do all my own work and it's really easy. You don't have to be a motorbike mechanic to carry out simple maintenance requirements and you can learn everything you need to know from Utube. So all in all I'm very pleased with my purchase and love riding it. I would definately recommend Kymco a good brand and the build quality is top notch. Economical, Sporty looks, comfortable, East to maintain, Lot's of storage space Not overly powerfulQuestions & Answers
