Absolutely Mortified

Shocking. Don’t sign up. You will NEVER pay the loan back with their interest charges & fees.

Shocking customer service with operators that don’t know their own product.

Just paid the whole loan out leaving myself very short to get out of it.

Even with paying more than the minimum monthly payments I owe more than borrowed 14 months ago.

DO NOT SIGN UP.

These people should be shut down

Incredibly poor service

Waste your time sending you on a phone tour of India, don’t call back when promised. Do not sort out issues when promised. Waste hours trying to get simple answers

Scammers

I declined to enter a contract and was assured that because of my decision my credit score would not be impacted however it was significantly. Also lied to about contract information as they wanted my house as equity against a minimal car loan which I refused as only expressed interest in the % on repayments which was more than double what I found with a legitimate company who also didn't want any equity due to my circumstances and excellent credit score prior to these thugs lying through their teeth. Absolute disgrace that a company can operate like this. Regardless of time or cost to myself this will be rectified.

I wish I could give zero star!!!!

I signed up with Latitude Gem Credit Card because there was a promotion going on partnered with Amart. It was "get $100 voucher for each $1000 spent at Amart." I spent $5900, so I expected to receive $500 voucher. But I never received it. When I called the customer service, they came up with all sorts of excuses (or should I call it a lie!?). It's like a scam and full of lies. Never ever recommend this company.

In AUSTRALIAN TERMS this out fit can only be described as far superior to Ned Kelly. Don’t ever let them get hold of your financial information. I cant describe our failings with them accurately otherwise my review wont be published. Look for another firm.

Don't use or beware

We had a credit card with Latitude in 2021 paid it off and applied for closure of the account. We were thinking all was well had emails of progress and we thought that it was all sorted and finalised. My fault I forgot about it. A year later (now) its still open and functioning and now I can't close it online and I get hung up on everytime I call to try and close it. Huge wait times on the phone and unhelpful staff who say yes yes but then transfer and hang up while you think you're actually getting somewhere. We've put in multiple complaints and closure requests. Still awaiting any reply.

When this company qas ge, I had no problems at all. But a couple of months ago I was told I was behind in my payments. I knew I wasn't. I was told I had made a extra payment which doesn't count. Then I was told I fell behind in march last year. I went in and had a look and no I wasn't. I sent them copies of my bank statements. Then they told me it was march 2020. I went and had a look. No I wasn't. And on top of that I pay more than the basic amount. I reported them. The result was for them I was behind but they were going to let it go. Now I'm getting more letters to say I owe $77 on top of my usual payment. It looks like I after to report them again. For your mental health pls stay away from this company. They are a disgrace

Unbelievably bad - avoid avoid avoid

Sent my account to collection agency in error
Took a huge effort on my part to get problem fixed
Was assured no default on credit file
Would not listen to me when a year later my credit file still showed default
Got AFCA involved to fix issue
6 months later still a default showing

High Interest Rates, Terrible Customer Serivce

They have terrible interest rates and even worse customer service. I was with them for 9 months and never once received any communication by post or email. I rang them, was on hold for 20 minutes only to discover that you must call them every-time you want a statement, and you guessed it wait 20+ minutes on hold. They have no electronic means of you checking your own account and don't send out statements unless you ring and ask them. I'm on hold again now, it's been 21 minutes so far, still waiting. I am trying to find out if they have stopped my directed debit as I've had the loan paid out and re-financed with someone who can actually look after their customers.

They strung me along for over 3 weeks before finally giving me an outcome for my application. I had to chase them all the way, they never called back like promised. Avoid at all costs.

Hidden costs

Buyer beware.
Latitude will charge you $2.50 per month on top of the normal fees for paper statements even if not requested nor received.
Apparently, this is automatically added until removed by buyer!

Watch Out

Watch out, there are so many inconsistencies in comparison to other credit cards, very easy to get caught out. There invoicing never makes sense and they charge fees when you pay your balance. The call centre staff can be very difficult, I had a complaint and was just told the same thing over & over, then hung up on when I demanded a manager, spoke to someone in complaints who would even give me his full name & title. Dodgy, loan sharks with quirks to try to get you to default to pay fees & interest. I'll be paying this card off quick smart and cancelling the account.

Cant even get hold of them , online or by phone. This company is a joke. Eventually got hold of someone who seemed like they were overseas, and still waiting for info.

Customer service is 0-none. Put in an application and has taken 5 days to process. The loans consultant is absolutely hopeless, my 8 year old daughter would do a better job. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible customer service

Worst customer service ever, nothing else but rude and impatient. Unfortunately this company is Apple’s partner for BNPL so I had no other choice but to use their service to finance my Apple product. I would not recommend Latitude to anyone.

Wasn't by choice to go with this dumb butt company! But will never ever recommend them to anyone! Reading all these reviews is exactly what I went through as well. All I can say is be persistent add a few fs & nonsense to the vocabulary cos it worked for me!! So glad I paid them off in full n see the backend of them!!! I suppose you pay for cheap customer service you will get monkeys!!!!!

The dumbest employee ever

I applied for a personal loan couple of weeks ago but person on other side doesn’t even know the difference between an Australian PR ad Australian citizens and closed my files, I called today to talk about my application and person from latitude finance named skeepa was so rude and didn’t talk properly and hanged up on me. If you don’t want to respect your customers then probably you should close your business

Absolutely pathetic company and very poor service

Asked for an account and bsb number so my insurance company could pay off my car after it was written off and was told we dont do that and was told to send payment ny cheque so it was sent
They have now lost and conveniently have no record of this so theres $13,700 missing and im still being charged interest and having to make monthly payments

Called to get a statement advised by the customer service representative it would arrive via email within 6 hours
Suprise suprise did not arrive called straight away the flowing morning only to be told it takes 24 to 48 hours.
Advised that they only send 2 statements year. However have not received anything at all. I asked to speak to a supervisor and no further help. And yo be advised they were a call centre in india .
I am disgusted with the service

Applied for a personal loan, lady rang up and said it was approved within 10 minutes rings back and said loan didn’t go through. Waited 4 days for the application , when questioned about why the sudden change of mind, no answer was given, spoke to manager who had no idea what was going on, went round in circles, still not giving a reason. They give false pretence, shocking and disgusting. I had told the manager to go back to the so recorded conversation as to what the lady had said about it being approved to his reply ‘No I don’t have time’ Definitely stay away. Way more stressing then needed at this time of the year. 0 points for service.
