Would never buy one again
The remote has packup and I have to wait up to 6 weeks to come from China. Also the material on the automatic bar is coming off and the sterring wheel is the same after 100,00KLms.The cost of the remote will be over $600,
The Paint job is not very good either

Ldv g10 2014
The single worst vehicle I have had the displeasure to own, 137000kms on the vehicle, a.c doesn't work and haven't since just over 100,00 KMs, the rear main seal has let go allowing it to drip oil, took to my mechanic and was advised the entire gearbox needs to be removed to fix this, the cruise control works when it wants to as does the Bluetooth, it periodically shows an error code for the front left wheel then this code will clear on its own, and just today the rear door has decided to stop locking which is great on a van with work tools ins...ide, also the front brake rotors failed at 100k and needed to be replaced not a major issue but still poor, the rear window wiper stopped working the other day then two days later decided it would work again, my advice would be to buy a second hand HiAce. These seem like good valve but from what I can tell within a couple of years you will regret it.

BE WARNED!!!!! You get what you pay for.
LDV G10 is really a cheap vehicle but it's NOT value for money. And, yes it is a "death trap". Turbo lag leaves you exposed after a brake-go situation, is a major fault. Heater and air con controls are offset for left side driver position and you have to take your eyes off the road in order to adjust. That's bad juju if you on a freeway. Instrument cluster blinds you if the sun is in the wrong position. (Because of the shiny chrome around the dials) other faults are: Flimsy paint job, bluetooth that hardly works, weak rubber seals, and a ve...hicle warranty from LDV that's not worth the paper its written on. This vehicle maybe ok for shopping trips and "kiddie" runs but as a delivery/tradie vehicle it's a failure. The dealers don't want to know you because of the small profit margin or so it seems. It seems to drive well and it's very economical if you drive it easy like a granny but fact is you push it a bit hard it's likely to fall apart on you. You want a cheap vehicle? Buy one but don't complain afterwards. (LDV G10, diesel auto) Reg as a good carrying vehicle. 67.000 over 2 years since new. Serviced as per the book and on time.
Purchased in August 2018 at Mantello Fawkner for $28,500.00.
Please read these reviews and heed warning. This car is not worth considering.
I'm writing this on behalf of a close friend who does not write reviews, and is not mechanically minded. I'm a mechanic and he's contacted me to ask advice during all his issues. In my view this is a shocking vehicle and even worse is the after-purchase support from LDV (or complete lack of).
When first purchasing the vehicle brand new in 2017 he was surprised how much Van you get for your money!! (That should be the first warning sign I guess...)
He bought the van to use as his work vehicle with mainly just tools in the boot and occasionally ...

Worst car on the planet

A complete deathtrap, but I have to use it, as I have no other choice!
Still having numerous faults with this particular vehicle, the dealership never got back to me about replacing the loose seat after the 5000km service over a year ago, still denied any faults (and I gave them a long detailed list in writing), except for a squeaking drivers door hinge, and a broken glove box door, which actually broke on my way to have serviced (turned out to be a filter of some kind which dislodged, and was fixed).
The inability to accelerate, at anytime after applying the footbrake, heavy vibration and restricted access to p...ower from the engine to the wheels, and feeling like somthing is seized, or about to, harsh vibration coming through the floor pan, pedals, seat and steering wheel, still not validated. Nor was a problem with (at the time) intermittent vague/excessive movement in the power steering, a loose drivers seat, a 2-3 second delay in changing gear from reverse to drive (which left me effectively stalled, and would even roll backwards if on a hill). There are many other issues, such as the suspension prematurely failing before 10,000km. So, not only was I being rocked front and backwards, but then also side to side, causing me to bang my head against the side of the vehicle when going slowly over speed bumps etc. I never returned to have servicing completed at the dealership, instead going to my local Automasters, who, would you believe, verified all my mechanical complaints, even pointing out the few that I didn't know about, but suspected. And why would a business which has no benefit from pointing out these faults, as they are not permitted to do any warranty work. Perhaps due to a responsibily to the customer to have a safe operating vehicle? Something which he dealership had no such regard for.

Very poor quality
1. Heater is is poor in cold weather.
2. Bluetooth in useless when on the highway. Have to use an aftermarket model
3. Reverse camera does not work properly at night
4. Cruise control is slow and unresponsive. Sometimes you need to switch the car off to get the cruise working again?
5. Can only have one fob with these vehicles??
Rusty scam - this ldv brand should be closed down
I have had the car (or should say purchased the Van) 3 months ago - it has yet to need to be refilled so under 600Klm.
Van has been back for several small issues
I found rust in the car - I never would have purchased this car with the rust it has in it - I as an Australian Consumer under LAW have every right to a refund - check out the QLD government site to see this is true. The dealer based in Ipswich refused - ? Yep breaking the law is okay with them. They blamed LDV again read the law they can not do this.
I am a small business so have...

Tradies don't buy this van
To all the tradies and couriers out there who are contemplating in purchasing an LDV G10 van my advice to you is don’t.
You pay for what you get. Yes, cheap to buy compared to all the other commercials vans out there but at the expense of quality fittings throughout including all things mechanical.
In March of 2016 I was a very happy man purchased my LDV van. Needless to say had I realised that the stress and trauma that this van was going to cause me over the next three years i would have left it at the dealer.
After I had the van for thr...ee months I noticed that the drink tray would not open. I brought it to the dealer to be fixed under warranty but was told parts would have to be ordered from the Eastern States. They would contact me when parts arrived which took over one month to arrive and then get it fixed.

Rolling rust bucket
This is my true story. We bought a brand new LDV G10 diesel auto back in December 2017. Within four weeks drivers seat sliding mechanisms broke. Back to the dealer for a new one. Rust hole appeared in passenger side door, paint blistering in the middle of the door. Back to the dealer for a complete new door. Rust appeared in rear tailgate in large patches. Back to the dealer for new Tailgate. While at the repair shop rust found in beaver panel behind bumper bar. Panel cut out and new beaver panel put in. Back to the dealer for new drivers side ...door as that side started to rust. While at repairer front lower radiator support panel cut out and replaced as it was rusted. Bluetooth continues to fail and disconnects. Radio screen disappears and rear camera disappears to reactivate shut down engine, lock vehicle. Then unlock vehicle and reconnect after engine start up. Engine idle fluctuates when air conditioning is on. Engine idles anywhere between 750rpm to 1350rpm. Turbo lag extremely dangerous when taking off from a stationary position. Dash warning lights coming on and no throttle response while engine running. Engine oil leaks from tappet cover. Engine does not have gasket on tappet cover only smear of silicone. Excessive crank case pressure. Owned the vehicle for 11months and has been at the dealership for 41/2 months. Virtually no spare parts available in the country. All my body panels had to come from China. Have not found any after market parts available such as brake pads and oil filters. Only genuine parts available. All accounts are factual and have been documented and photographed.
A cheap car with cheap options
Instruments not placed within safe reach distance from driver. E.g. heater controls. No foot rest, no centre console, no rear wiper or demister with barn doors. My van has an engine warning light coming on but the dealer cant fix. Cheap car, yes! But.... you get what you pay for.
January 7th 2019 Update: DO NOT BUY ONE
Sure it is a cheaper alternative and it drives reasonably well...BUT...
as soon as you hit problems the company (LDV) and the dealer, (Mantello Fawkner in my case), will not want to know you. Any problems you encounter they tell you it's your fault!!!
Also, good luck getting spare parts.
Do not recommend at all.
Engine oil leak, Radio signal drops all the time, Bluetooth reception bad, Sensors go on, Driving seat moves. Came to fix the oil leak they said it's fixed but i am here today again with the same problems. Big mistake buying this Van for my courier work. Would not recommend.
LDV G10 - worst deal ever.
I own an LDV G10 and my advice to anyone would be DON"T BUY one of these. It drives well enough and is well equipped but the ownership experience is the worst i've encountered. The whole experience has left me angry and broke. $300 for brake pads plus $135.00 to fit them....... The pads don't have wear censors so you pads can run out at any time. And parts are only available from 1 dealership is Salisbury, which is only open Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. So you can't even get brake pads at the weekend because there are NO aftermarket parts (not eve...n brake pads) so you are at the mercy of the dealer. Front disc rotors are an unbelievable $500 (not fitted). Fuel "economy" is around 22 litres per 100 kms and it requires 95 RON unleaded so its incredibly expensive to run. Servicing? Well, it needs 3 services in the first 20,000 kms, and then every 10,000 kms. So it needs twice the servicing and uses almost twice the fuel and parts are up to 500% dearer than its competitors. By 12 months the van was already showing rust..... Quality is extremely poor. The drivers seat belt buckle failed in an emergency stop, fortunately it wasn't a crash or i'd be dead. Dealer hasn't got the time to fix it under warranty until the next service..... ...... ....... So the LDV is cheap to buy. But its also very cheaply made (door stop fell off, rear view mirror fell off, petrol lid rusting, menu stalk malfunctioning, etc, etc. etc) but is the most EXPENSIVE van to run that i have ever experienced in 23 years of use. Cost almost TWICE as much to run as a Mercedes Vito but is massively inferior in every way.
